We came here for my niece’s birthday weekend, had a great day. Everything was beautiful. Everything look exactly like the pictures. We had a really good time. The only thing bad I can say is that the hot water went out really quickly so basically cold showers the whole time. I’m not sure if that’s due to other people in the building showering at the same time but it wasn’t a huge issue overall had a great stay, will definitely be back next time. Thank you so much.

Check in was a little slow. They had to call the owner to determine the unit number as they said he doesn’t list that but the name of his unit instead. So I stood in line for 10 minutes was asked to step aside while they contacted the owner and then had to get back in line. No fault of the owner I don’t think. I also didn’t like the team members at golden sands didn’t provide info about the pools or the beach access.

Not perfect

My two kids (4 and 6), my husband, and myself recently stayed at Jack’s place. Jack’s place was fine for the 5 days we were there but it did not meet our expectations based on the photos. The building is in terrible shape and it shows through the cheap renovations. It definitely wasn’t as nice and clean as it looks in photos but it was fine for what we needed. The biggest issue we had was that it’s not the most suitable for young children. The counter height table and bar stools are very cheap and wobbly which made it difficult for our kids to safely sit and eat at meal times. There are also no plastic dishes or utensils for children to use. We were constantly worried about drinking glasses being dropped or one of them falling off the unstable furniture. Aside from that, there were just some small issues. The AC couldn’t keep up with the heat outside and struggled to get below 76 for the first two days. We also discovered that every coffee mug in the cabinet was dirty and the coffee pot was missing the lid. There was nothing majorly wrong with the property but we would not return.

Great place for family of 5

We love Golden Sands and this unit is perfect for us. I travelled with my husband and 3 teenage children (13, 14 and 15). The unit looked just as pictured in the photos. The beds were very comfortable, though I can't speak to the comfort of the pullout couch because we brought an air mattress with us for one of the kids. We were only there for 3 days so didn't use the kitchen much but the coffee maker worked perfectly and so did the refrigerator. We used the washer and dryer daily and while they are small, they work great. Having the unit on a lower floor is especially great for those times when the elevators are busy!
