I didn't even stay. Saw the disgusting state of my room and filthy bathroom and left. Got a refund. This isn't a 3* hotel.

Bar closes very early; limited selection of beer (No ale on cask or in bottles) Breakfast coffee would be better if there was actual coffee in it! And the way of dispensing it is poor. Reception open late in the evening is a good point.

Beautiful hotel in an idealic setting. Showing its age a little bit in some areas but that also contributed to the charm.

This property is not at all like the photos presented. I booked a Double Room with a Sea View expecting an experience similar to the photos portrayed. The room was disgusting. The foundation of the building is obviously failing. The furniture is not level, since the foundation isn't. The carpeting is clearly old and I would not recommend walking barefoot on it, especially since I found a rather large dead bug against the wall on my last night there (which had been there for a good while). The bathrooms are NOT at all as they are pictured. Expecting bright lighting with tiled showers and a shower door? HA! It was disgusting wallpaper that had been present since the 1980s at least with poor lighting and a bathtub with a cheap showerhead and a curtain that only went halfway along the tub! The railing holding the curtain was also cheap since the curtain was continuously falling, it was rusted, and also falling apart. The bedding at least looked fresh and clean. However, if you wish to have your room cleaned, you have to request this accommodation at the front desk. I was shocked to not find a hair dryer in the room, but happy they had them upon request (which is not listed ANYWHERE). There is no phone in the room, so you have no means of calling the front desk for anything. I cannot comment on the lounge or food options, since I did not bother to experience this. My only regret is that I did not take photos of the depressing state of this property to share.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Don’t like dogs running everywhere. The bed was not comfortable. My room number 117 was freezing cold. The wind was coming across the water and actually moving the curtains. They need to fix those windows. Breakfast was good.

Desk staff lad was very nice. Room was ok, toilet flush water kept running, only half a roll of loo roll, window frames and skirting need sanding and re-painted. Bed was comfy view was great. Breakfast staff were not that attentive especially an older lady, she was miserable. Breakfast choice was poor very little for vegetarian and at £15 each I would go somewhere else. Was a bit improved since our last visit in September.

Book if you have no expectations

Awful from start to finish. I never leave reviews but this hotel was so bad i felt i had to. Everything is falling apart, rooms and windows completely run down, public areas tired and in poor decorative state, no room service while we were there no towel change,no coffee tray renewal,no towels replaced, no bed made. Breakfast nothing was replenished ,you had to ask for the missing items. And whwn you check in,if you have a car, they charge you £6 a night for parking, something not highlighted in their information. Felt sorry for the tourists as this hotel dies not offer even basic decent accommodation for the price
