There was a little bit of hair on the sink and there was trash in the bathroom can. Also there is no air conditioning but the room served its purpose. It’s very close to the Zocalo which is amazing. The location could not be anymore perfect. The staff was super kind and helpful as well. I would stay there again.

Pro: Welcoming staff and they are very helpful including housekeepers. The building is very clean and so are the rooms. Cons: Due to water shortage they do not wash bedding linen every day. Made a reservation 10/30/25 with credit card thru Expedia with a discount but once I got to the Hotel Gala Oaxaca was told that I needed to pay cash only & it was $600 pesos more than what it was thru the app. Didn’t argue and paid for it but once I left the Hotel I got charge on my credit card even though I pay cash. I like the location close to the centro and room was ok.

Very well located on a corner just across from the main square. We came for the Radish Festival and subsequent Christmas activities and were always just steps away from the festivities. The hotel is noisy as many have reported but this is because it is historic tile and plaster walls. The rooms are very small, but comfortable for sleeping. We do not travel to stay in our rooms anyway, so we were fine and the price was attractive. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as our Spanish was not so good.
