Really friendly and helpful staff. They made our check in quick and easy and helped us with directions. Secured garage parking for a small fee. Spacious room with two stories.

Overall, for the price and location the hotel was perfect for me. Nothing fancy. A place to shower & sleep. And it was close to the subway. Also less than 20 minutes to walk to the city center. Unfortunately, I was there over Christmas & the hotel did not alert guests that everything in the city (including supermarkets and the hotel restaurant) would close Midday on Christmas Eve. I had planned to go grocery shopping in the early evening and nothing was open. The hotel had no suggestions to help me... Thankfully they served breakfast on Christmas morning! I completely understand that things close early, but communication from the hotel (maybe with a list of open restaurants) would have been nice.

very friendly staff, good position, old furnishes and the room we had was not such good (view) bathroom without window

Simple, a bit outdated furniture, but all the amenities worked fine. Pleasant staff and inexpensive.

Very clean, nice hotel. It is a puzzle to me, though, why there are no utensils in the kitchenette?? The room is large, but the area with the bed is sectioned off and barely enough space to get to it. The price was good, and the location is about 1 mile walking from the old city, which is what we were interested in. The parking garage is next to the hotel and 10 euros per night.

The hotel was nicely located to the old town. 5-10 minute stroll. The staff was great. The receptionist even insisted on calling a local restaurant for us to inquire about a particular dish. We had a 4th floor room (top floor) which was quiet and clean. It came with a mini frig, microwave and stove. Nice to make a cup of tea after walking in the cold air.

It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the city, only 5 or so from the subway (U-Bahn). There is free street parking and 10 Euro/day in the garage. For the price it was a great hotel. They gave us two bottles of water and beer a day in the fridge, which was nice. I read some complaints in the reviews that sound mostly like people that aren't familiar with most European hotels. I've been living in Europe and traveling for over 8 months and most of the complaints I read are the norm here. 1. 10 Euro for parking is fairly cheap. 2. The parking spaces in the garage while small by American standards aren't abnormal for here (now the lot my wife and I used in Oslo... THAT was small) 3. No air conditioning, most hotels I've been to here don't have AC. My apartment here doesn't have AC. This took my wife and i off guard at first too but most will have fans. We're used to it now, but unfortunately those of you that will only be here for your trip might not be.

The hotel is located in an industrial part of town. No points of interest within walking distance. The main complain was that there is no air conditioning. This fact needs to be PROMINENTLY displayed on hotel sites. There was a heat wave while we were there.

The hotel was not far from the main center of the town, walking distance. The Hotel Rooms have little kitchens with pots and pans. And a restaurant which delivered to your room if asked.

Traveling through Germany by car for 4 weeks, we loved this hotel because we could park our car on the street, make our own breakfast in the fabulous kitchenette, and enjoy a quiet, comfortable new room and bath that was only 5 minutes drive from the historic city areas. There was also great food shopping right across the street.

Thank you for rating your stay! We are happy to read that you enjoyed our rooms and the place of the hotel to discover the city easily. Sorry that we have to confess that even the Lonely Planet Guide knows about the situation at Christmas time in (good old) Germany. Shops and restaurants and - who can imagine - even gas stations are closed. The city is sleeping while Christmas eve! We are sorry that you were "surprised by the situation" and of course, we got all the information at rezeption. You just needed to come by!
