Overall a very good stay. Their breakfast is excellent and the room was very comfortable. The mattress was perfect for me. It is located in an excellent spot, right opposite the train station - very handy for going to the exhibition or sightseeing. The reason they do not get 5/5 is their check in. It is, for lack of a better word, a bit awkward. Also as we were a group of 3 rooms and one card was paying for the rooms, the other rooms kept having to replace the keys as it seemed on the system that we did not have credit or something. Anyhow I would very happily stay there again. Check out was seamless I should say. Clean, comfortable, well located. And one very good aspect is that the rooms were very well soundproofed. You did not hear people walking past your room or road noise.
I normally, and religiously, book Hilton properties when we travel. Why? Because as a Hilton Diamond I have grown to expect, and receive, a level of service that 99.9% of the time exceeds my expectations. Since the was not a Hilton in Nuremberg we opted for the Park Plaza. Well, I felt as though I was checking into a Hilton as a Diamond Member. The reception staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely engaging. Our two rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Nuremberg on foot. We found the breakfast enjoyable and of good quality. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan on returning in the not so distant future. Thank you Park Plaza Nuremberg!
The hotel is superbly located literally across the road from the main Nuremberg train station with a key tram stop just outside. There's a sense of history in that in several old photos of early 20th century Nuremberg, there was always a hotel on this site. The old town is only a few minutes walk away, with several good restaurants within a ten minute walk. The bathroom looked very new, and although a little cramped, had a good shower with strong water pressure. The room had decent air conditioning and lighting, which isn't always the case in many hotels. We didn't eat at the hotel, but found the Reception staff to be friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The position of the hotel itself its strategic, exactly in front of the main station, (with connection to the U-Bahn and other public transportation) and in a few minutes walk to the lovely city centre. The hotel and staff are great, warm and polite people that are ready to help you. The room I stayed in, on the 5th floor did have a nice view over the station, and no noises could be heard. The room was comfortable, as well as the bathroom (only little downside, the washbasin was not working perfectly, but nothing so dramatic). Breakfast was good enough, as well as the fitness centre and the dressing room (used even after my check-out, very kind touch from the guys at the reception!). Absolutely to recommend.
We stayed one night, hotel has great location 5 mins walk from station and centre. Nice room and great breakfast. Only complaint hot water was erratic, ended up with a cold shower first thing in morning.
Depressing & tasteless Lobby, dull rooms, poor amenities. No Concierge. Almost half the ceiling of our (expensive) suite had a sloped ceiling with headroom too low to stand in. Cheap/wierd carpet and depressing bathroom.
Maybe I'm biased because I came during one of the recent heat-waves, an the a/c was perfect, the room already at a perfect temperature when I arrived. Central location, nice room, very friendly staff. I enjoyed a great breakfast, at the bar in the evening drinks were also very good. The only drwa-back: The kitchen closes very early, so no after theater-dinner. A pity. Otherwise a very comfortable stay.
This was a terrific place to stay - right across the way from the main train station and close to the Old City. The breakfast area was crowded but had good food, good service at the main check-in desk. Plenty of shopping, activities, and places to eat nearby!
Park you car in the Hauptbahnhof parking, walk under the street and at the boarder of the old city (city wall) you find this very pleasant hotel. You can pay your parking in the hotel. Room are great (aircon) and the price is surely descent. Breakfast is fine but the room does not invite for a long and cosy stay.
Great Hotel with a fast wifi which helped me greatly as I had to work a lot of email attachments for work. The room was clean and very comprehensive. Breakfast was fast and the staff were delightful. I would recommend staying here to business and recreational folk as it's really central for transport and good restaurants.
