Chose the schooner inn , for my New Year’s Eve celebration , accommodations… I have to say… I made a wonderful choice . Kitchenette and a whirlpool tub overlooking the ocean made it fantastic

The hotel is a no frills type of place. No lobby or lounge, but a great room with a little kitchenette and lovely beach view. The wifi at times was slow and spotty, if you need great internet for business then that could be a problem. Located a block down from a great seafood restaurant too!

Great experience during our trip to see family on Thanksgiving Day and weekend. The Holiday Lights were an extra bonus to fun and convenient location.

Very pleasant staff. Excellent location. Enjoyed our stay. Will stay again!

Great location. Beautiful view. Very cozy room. I don't typically care about having a kitchenette nor do I typically use it, but I have to say the kitchenette was just another little plus. Two major, extra pluses were the personal balcony and the in room hot tub A+++!

Our stay was nice. We needed a table or shelf for coffee pot and microwave

Great hotel, nice view, hot tub, very close to beach. Friendly staff

The Schooner was exactly what we were looking for on the ocean at Va Beach. It was within walking distance of most of our activities. We enjoyed it being located at the end of Va Beach next to Rudee Inlet. It was also extremely close to what became our favorite restaurant, Waterman's.

Hotel it's very good, what I enjoy the most is that it's at the beginning of the boardwalk and it's not as crouded as it is further down.

Not clean, there were bugs in the room. Balcony door does close well from outside, that's the reason bugs found their way in. Beds were not comfortable.

we got very good experience ,nice people, clean, closed to the beach strong recomended to every boby visit, stay and have fun thanks, see you again....

Good bed excellent staff good views great location please stay here for your visit to VA Beach

Everything was just adequate. There was really nothing to draw us back. It was a great location from the beach .

This hotel is not fancy or elegant but it is wonderful in every way! It looks exactly like the pictures on line. Our room was ocean front with a balcony, a hot tub, and a kitchenette. The hot tub overlooks the beach so that was really fun. The room was clean, large and well designed. It is the first hotel on the boardwalk so we loved the quiet. Super easy access to the beach, ample parking on site. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We have stayed at multiple hotels up and down the beach. This was by far our favorite. Rolling over in bed and watching the sunrise was a perfect start to the day :) We have found our permanent home when we are in VA Beach!

smelled musty and moldy. Door to outside didn't shut properly, didn't feel safe. Bathroom was dirty, hairs... Hotel is simply old and needs to be remodeled.

This Hotel was awesome for the price. The location being right on the VA Beach boardwalk could not be beat. The Ocean View from the balcony was fantastic.

Oceanfront room, nice and roomy, the stove was nice, we wefe able to cook meals and save money. The housekeeping staff was excellent and friendly as well and the hotel staff. Only thing missing to make the rooms better is a sofa in the room!

One of our many mon-tue adventures that my boyfriend and I go on was to virginia beach 8/29-8/30. We usually stay between 18th and 21st street. And have occasionally stayed as far down as 31st street. But this time it was schooner on 2nd. The price was right the weather was right. Only down fall I saw and wasn't with the hotel was they were still cleaning up from a weekend event prior to us coming down there. So the view of the ocean was nice but the view of the beach was men at work. But don't let that keep you from staying at this hotel. We stayed in a whirlpool room. Totally worth it to stay in that room. We were only staying one night and didn't need the kitchenette. But we plan on vacationing there next year so hope to get a kitchenette room then. Definitely a 4 or 5 star hotel

Love the kitchenette. The view was great ample parking. Quiet area

The staff was very friendly, and the hotel is beach front, but the rooms need updating and are not very appealing. Our room thermostat was set on 69 degrees but the rooms never got cooler than 76 degrees. The pool had no type of shade which did not offer any relief from the sun and was very small. In my opinion, they are way over priced.
