Great location and staff was awesome. However, it needs updates and a heavy duty cleaning not just surface cleaning. The size of the room was nice. The balcony was great but the locks were rusty and with my 15 month old granddaughter, I had to keep checking to make sure it stayed secure.

Room was really old and in need of red pairs. The staff was friendly but not very helpful. This was our first time staying here and it didn't go so well.

In need of repairs and updates. Room issues. Caulk and screws in bathroom shower coming apart. Not very clean on the floors.Very outdated. Noisy suction all night coming into room from somewhere. Very nice staff. Helpful. Not their fault.

We got a deal on a room for weekdays following labor day and enjoyed our stay. We got what we paid for--an ocean view, a sweet 80's hot tub with full wall mirror beside it, and a great location. Don't come expecting the Ritz when you're paying bargain rates. Staff was super nice and professional. Continental breakfast was carbland--what I've come to expect. The worst part of the visit was fellow guests--chain-smoking, bloated, sun-burned, brash, & partied-out Trumpians. They were as entertaining as bothersome, though. We couldn't spend a five minute stretch on the balcony without a chain-smoking neighbor lighting up another Misty 100 to cancel out the sweet sea breeze.

This was our 1st visit to Virginia Beach. We loved being able to view the ocean and had the hotel is right on the boardwalk. That was the only great thing. Hotel is overall dirty and dingy. Although the bedding looks new, that's about it for the "upgrades." The rooms are in dire need of wall washing, detailed cleaning of the bathroom and a fresh coat of paint. The balcony has chipped paint everywhere and rust. I was too embarrassed of what the hotel looked like from the outside to even take a picture of it! Hotel staff was very friendly, except the bald short gentlemen at the front. There's no lobby, just a front desk inside right by the parking garage. The "breakfast room" is just that, a converted hotel room with a few tables inside. Very cramped. The breakfast was nothing great. Mostly cereal, bread & mini pastries. Coffee was good. We plan on going to Virginia Beach again next year, but definitely will not be staying here. It wasn't horrible by any means, just not up to our standards.

The location is on the beach as advertised. The view was incredible and the balcony was wide enough for a table and 2 chairs. The setup was a little odd... toilet and shower (outdated hot tub) were located in one section and the sink was located on the other side of the entrance. The room was not the cleanest upon arrival but when we asked for the front desk to send the custodians they did and they cleaned the areas that needed to be addressed. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The continental breakfast was good... it could be carried back to the room or eaten in the area. Attached to the hotel is The Lighthouse Restaurant which had good food and drinks. Within a block are shops and Ben & Jerry's and of course the boardwalk is right outside.

Hotel is very good , close to the beach, and have nice restaurant, but housekeeping crew are not professional, blankets were bloody and they didn't change them.

The hotel is in need of major renovations. The rooms weren't very clean, and the elevators skipped floors every other day. The television in the room barely worked, and I've seen better amenities at 2 star hotels. Would not recommend this hotel.

Watched dolphins everyday from the room. Breakfast was good. Staff was great.

Older hotel fairly clean comfortable beds nice views from balcony close to all the action small rooms but overall I would recommend to stay good value

Hotel had everything I needed but it just felt old and dingy.

Overall enjoyed our stay there. Very nice staff. Close to everything. Roomy for our needs. Really enjoyed the indoor heated pool. However the room could've used a good cleaning and the continental breakfast could use a overhaul.

The room was spacious, clean and beds so comfortable. It was a bonus having sink separate from toilet/shower facilities. Loved the balcony with ocean view and large whirlpool tub! The pool was clean and heated, kids loved it! We will definitely stay here again!!!

The staff was excellent but the hotel could have used a little better maintenance.

First let me say that Renee at the front desk is awesome; available to answer questions and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. I booked an Ocean View Queen Room and it was great. The room was spacious and clean. The Continental Breakfast each morning was wonderful. The view of the ocean/boardwalk was great. I would book this hotel again.

Spent 3 nights here and enjoyed being right on the ocean. Spent little time in room other than sleeping and showering. Room was clean and all of their staff were friendly and efficient. Hotel itself is a little aged and could use some updating. Good stay at a reasonable price.

We stayed at the Baymont inn. It was a nice size room with a Jacuzzi. My shower was wonderful! While it needs some painting and remodeling the hospitality was outstanding!! I would visit again.

Most of the staff was nice. We were on the 10th floor with 4 kids and only 1 elevator! The spare cot didn't even fit in the room and then they didn't have a spare blanket for the cot. The hallways were steaming hot and the ice machines in the hallways wouldn't produce ice b/c of this. When they cleaned the room, they left all of the beach sand on the carpet and only made the beds.

It was a lovely view of the ocean and the bed was nice and comfortable. The front desk was very nice and friendly.

Overall it was Ok.. The breakfast facilities were not available and the rooms in itself have old furnishings and old beddings, but it is worth the price.. If all you are looking for is a beach front property , this is an awesome one at a very good price...
