I spent weeks looking for a hotel that checked all my boxes, and the Deck Hotel was perfect! Many of the hotels near the water are outdated and super expensive, with reviews all over the place. The Deck is a quick walk to the water and around the corner from Rue Massena, which has all the restaurants and shops. Pros: great location to the water and restaurants, friendly staff, super new and modern decor, free flat and sparkling water, and super quiet at night. Con: I wish the room were a bit larger, but standard for France.
Great location, upgrade to the suite if you can the terrace is great.
They staff are very friendly and helpful. Ask them for recommendations on viewpoints or restaurants and they will immediately point you in the right direction. The breakfast is good, I particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs (which are overcooked at most hotels). Rooms are small, but clean and quiet. I was a pretty good guest until the end. I was drinking red wine in bed and spilled on some of the linens. I immediately brought them to the front desk, apologized profusely for being a dolt, and offered to pay. They just accepted the apology with grace, handled bring new sheets to my room, and did not ask for reimbursement. Crazy! I have never stayed at a place with people as kind as this. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Central location and very close to the beach. Rooms were on the smaller side albeit not an issue as we didn't come to Nice to stay in our room.
