Stay: 24-27 April 2017, male and female 19 years old. Very good value for money; make sure to book through the hotel's website for best rates. While it appeared that we were very much below the average age, our stay was amazing. (Surprisingly large) room and breakfast were okay, but not too special; the hotel is a bit noisy and the shower head could not be raised sufficiently. However, these cannot be considered serious issues, since the staff is some of the best I have ever seen in a hotel, especially in this price range. Location is great, city (old and new) and beach are within walking distance, and there is a fine connection with public transport. Would definitely recommend to anybody who wants to stay in Nice in relative luxury for a small price.
This hotel has to be the friendliest well run.well situated hotel in Nice. Good room Very Clean,Great" service with& a smile" & always very Helpful. Complimentary Happy Hour is typical of the effort put into this hotel by manager & staff.I don't recognise the few moans of others & can only say thanks for a great few days and we will be back & recomend you to family & friends
This is a comfortable three star hotel with a friendly staff and some interesting items, such as a boiler in the room (tea, coffee, sugar) and an espresso machine available in the lobby. Good wifi, satellite TV and clean working fridge. Clean and reasonably large bathroom with good quality accessories, everything in working order and lots of fluffy towels. However the true bonus seems to me the perfectly central location, close (but not inside) the pedestrian a rea, less than 5 minute walk from the shore (Promenade des Anglais at its most central) and quite near the old town. Parking (in case you have a car) is not easy, but a parking garage is available just 200 yards away. Just by the entrance a fully equipped grocery store, 20 yards from a pharmacy and many dining options within the block. Could not have chosen better in this respect
I stayed here recently with my wife for a night and we enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is in a very good location near lots of restaurants and amenities. The hotel itself is well-kept and immaculately clean. The facilities are somewhat basic but everything worked and did the job. Two things really set this hotel apart and make it very good: the happy time (complementary wine/nibbles)...but best of all the staff. The welcome was really exceptional from everyone we came into contact with, especially Gael on the front desk. A very good value hotel in beautiful Nice.
Good Points: Very helpful staff, Good location. Breakfast just OK. (coffee poor quality). Internet OK. Bad Points: On first night the room heated up to an unbearable temperature as the rooms AIR CONDITIONING is not switched on UNTIL MAY !! Opened window but too noisy as room was above noisy street. Fortunately after complaining the next day they moved us to a room at the back where we were able to open window at night. Bathroom and rooms need updating and bath is only 3/4 size !! Walls are thin, corridor noise and noise from a joining rooms is very audible. In my experience this hotel is a 2 or 3 star at best.
they really have good service. Rooms are clean and fine, breakfast was okay but they can add more options for vegetarian guests. perfect location, very close to all the attractions and beach, overall excellent experience. very polite and helpful staff.
As many others have said, the location is very good. The staff is very good, with the exception of the breakfast staff, that could be better. It's good that they have a "Happy Hour" between 18:00-20:00! The rooms are not that big, but quite OK. The bathroom was probably renovated or had a VERY god cleaner as well, as it was spotless and very shiny. Well - end of story of the good things. This hotel has a 4**** rating and when comparing it to other 4**** hotels, well it's unbeliveable how this hotel could be a 4**** hotel. I would rate it as a +2**, that's it. Why? There is a sign / poster outside the breakfast room, saying: BREAKFAST LOVER and Hotel de flore Nice. But you can't be a breakfast lover at this hotel. The breakfast it's not good or very standard/poor and in a very small, easy overcrowded room, with a big noice of voices when everybody is talking. Well, I just say - don't go here if you want to enjoy a good breakfast. If you haven't got the breakfast in your room price, there is an extra 12Eur/person and that is just very very expensive compared to what you get. Look at their web site and you could see a Picture and text for the breakfast, also showing fresh raspberry, but no sign and something like it - as fresh strawberries as you could see them all over at the supermarkets and markets. There is an lounge area outside, which very easily could be very nice, but - it isn't. The chairs are of type iron and all have cusions to sit on, but all are very Dirty and have stains all over them. After the rain, many of them was wet, as no one had put them away. The umbrellas are not fresh either are most of them have holes in the cloth. One day the Hotel Manager was outside and he took one of the cusions and turned it around with the comment: - It's not so Dirty on this side. A water hose was laying around amony the tables during our 6 day stay. It would have been easy to put it away, but it was easier to just kicked away a bit, as the Hotel Manager did as well. The Happy Hour Rose wine is quite good and as said earlier, it's good that they have it. It doesn't look like the Pictures on their homepage and the olives could be of a better quality. It's not a 4**** Happy Hour. I could go one, but stop here. Next time in Nice, well - it will be Another hotel. Christer & Gunilla Stockholm, Sweden
we had a great time, nice hotel but it's not really a 4 star! nice room, 2 out of 3 lamps didn't work, air con was terrible. We had a room on the front which was noisy on Saturday night. Hotel was in a great location, very central. loved 'Happy time', free nibbles & wine 6-8pm every day. Breakfast was good, but very small room & packed, didn't really like having to share a table.
Lovely stay in this hotel as part of a British Airways flight and hotel package. Excellent location, easy to get to from the airport and close to promenade, city centre, restaurants, public transport, etc., comfortable cosy room, friendly and helpful staff and very good breakfast - what more can anyone ask for!
The rooms are not so big, but who cares? Location very convenient right at a few steps from the Promenade and the old town, surrounded by cafes and restaurants, decoration of the interiors which I loved for the touch of Provence. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most appreciated the aperitif offered every evening from 6 to 8 pm in the patio. And last but not least, the value of this charming hotel.
