Right in the heart of Nice, 2 blocks from the beach, 1/2 block from a lovely walking street. The room was comfortable and a terrific value. Staff were helpful when asked. And the price, all things considered, was terrific. .

Hotel was in a perfect location. Easy walk to get to beach, easy walk to get to old town. Staff was extremely nice and most helpful. Able to give advise and directions. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Coffee and small ice cream treats were always available. At 6pm each day, a happy hour with small bites and wine was lovely.

Be aware that this is NOT a boutique hotel, if by "boutique hotel" you are expecting a smallish hotel that has a unique sense of style or some other special attribute. In terms of accommodations, this is more akin to a higher-end motel. My "suite" was fairly large and pretty clean, but oddly shaped and very cheaply and sparsely furnished, with a bit of an ant problem by the balcony door. While I never heard any noise from the hallway or other rooms, there was a ton of outdoor construction noise all night long - might've just been my bad luck on that count. I also did not have a working phone in the room - there was no dial tone, and the front desk didn't try to fix it. I had a mobile, so I could call out in an emergency, but it meant that if I wanted to talk to the front desk, I had to take the elevator down four floors to talk in person. On the positive side, the location is good (it's close to shops and restaurants, 15-minute walk to the train station, across the street from a supermarket). The front desk staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful, but they were understaffed - there was only one person working the hotel at a time, so if a guest were checking in/out, there was no one else around to help with anything. I was there the weekend of the F1 Grand Prix, so they doubled their prices to around 440 Euros - a luxury price for a bargain-basement product. My last night there was down to 220 Euros, which was more in line with what was on offer. In short, though, while my experience there wasn't terrible, it's probably worth spending more on something nicer.

We were staying the 4 nights before our tour started and it happened to be right before Grand Prix weekend and so had very limited hotel/room selection. We booked the JR Suite with Terrance as one of the few rooms available anywhere in Nice. While more money, it was very nice to have a terrace to sit on in the evenings. Our room overlooked rue Maccarani so had a bit of noise, but the sound-proof windows/doors helped greatly. This is NOT an Americanized hotel; the elevator is small, the hallway is narrow and crocked, small rooms, etc. There is a small store next door, bakery across the street and several restaurants/stores on the pedestrian mall around the corner. Because rue Maccarani is one-way and there was lots of traffic/road work in the area, the taxi let us off at the corner and we took our luggage the half-block to the hotel door. No problem for us but alert your driver if it would be a problem for you. While hotel WiFi is free, they offer a portable WiFi device for 1 Euro/day which is much cheaper than others offer. There is a simple but free "happy-hour" on the first floor terrance in the afternoon. We found out later (quite by accident) that you have benefits at the many HappyCulture-brand hotels around Nice, such as going to their free happy-hours (each hotel has different offers and hours), using their restrooms, and storing luggage at the hotel by the train station. If any of this might be of interest, make sure you ask for details since I don't remember hearing any of this when we checked in.

Good hotel, in a great location. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Wonderful staff! Free breakfast is hearty with a nice selection. Rooms are smaller, but typical for France, and clean. The courtyard is charming and a relaxing retreat.

The location of the hotel in the center of Nice is good. The stay we had in 2016 was nice but this time in April 2017 there were too many problems/mistakes. We had one of the suites. The cleaning was poor. A lot of dust on all furnitures. The Balcony, which would be big and nice, was never cleaned during our stay that time at all. We stayed for 4 nights. One morning we weere in the breakfast room at 9am. There no more bread or rolls anymore. We had to wait 1 hour till somebody was organizing that again. Caused by the location of the hotel in the center city, there is a lot of noise from outside.

Small rooms that need upgrading. Bad hallway lighting. They neglected to tell me about the parking discount if you only park overnight so we overpaid by €45. The management will not address my complaint having not responded to my last email on this issue. The website photos look better than the reality.

The rooms were responsive and the corridors a bit dark. Otherwise the hotel had a central location and very friendly and helpful staff. A small cozy affordable hotel in the heart of Nice. The breakfast was fresh and totally fine.

If you're looking for a cheap, quick stay in Nice, Hotel de Flore should be considered. It's very close to the promenade, and surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops - both easy eats and high-end establishments. I stayed here for four days on business, and it was hard not to feel claustrophobic. Rooms are dated and extremely small, so much so I had to move my bed to fully open the bathroom door. TV didn't work either. However the staff were very polite, welcoming and helpful.

We took a 2.5 week vacation and stayed in Luxury Hotels our whole stay. In NICE we decided not to do that but stay in a good hotel. This hotel was so simple, easy, cute and had many great perks. You can walk to Everything from this location. It is in the heart of Nice. The Happy Culture Hotels work with each other so as you are walking the city and you need to go to the bathroom, stop in for Tea or grab an umbrella you can do it at ANY of there locations. Super cool idea so you dont have to walk back to your hotel. You can even take the WiFi with you while you are out exploring the city. The Staff is really helpful and breakfast was good. We were presently surprised. I would stay again. Thank you
