we stayed there in early June. Even though we arrived early, we were able to get into our room ad freshen up after a long flight from the US. The staff was typically Marriott: Friendly, helpful, well trained and efficient. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The lobby is very attractive and a nice place to linger. Location is excellent. One can easily walk to old town Nice, or along the Promenade. Parking was convenient and reasonable given the location. I recommend without hesitation.
We ended up here because of a travel delay. Close to the airport and easily accessed from Promenade des Anglais. Rooms are clean, modern & functional. The pillows are comfy. Bathrooms are equipped with good lighting, tub, shower & bidet. Restaurant offers morning breakfast & serves dinner until 10pm. Room service is available until 10pm. The service is fast and food the food is good. Valet & self parking is available for a fee. Rather noisy. We could hear every conversationm, every child running in the hallway. Be sure to check your bill at check out. We found several mistakes.
They place is quite dated. The pool is a lot smaller than the pictures indicated and not as nice. The ceiling to our bathroom looked a bit molded. It's about 20 mins by bus from the nice train station. Uber is very convenient getting to places you want to go.
A very central comfortable hotel in Nice just off Promenade des Anglais. Very modern stylish welcoming. Good sized rooms, very comfortable bed. Amazing rooftop with great views especially at night. Friendly service except at breakfast.
My partner and I have just spent the last 4 nights at the AC Hotel as a short holiday and we have loved it. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are very friendly. When booking the hotel I mentioned that it was my partner Owens 30th birthday during our stay. To our delight we had complimentary champagne and chocolates delivered to our room to celebrate. We are so greatful for the generosity and cant thank the hotel enough. The pool and bar/ restaurant area on the roof are lovely, one evening we enjoyed a meal on the roof top too. The hotel provides bottles of water in the room and there is an ice and water cooler accessible on the 7th floor near the pool which was very handy. The hotel and surrounding area was sometimes a little noisy at night but it is to be expected in such a busy area. Ladies I would suggest bringing your own hairdryer as the dryers in the rooms are basic. Alot of people have wrote negative reviews about the views from the rooms. I agree the views are of surroundings buildings but it is a fair sacrifice for how lovely the hotel is compared to many of the hotels on the sea front. If you want a stunning view then just spend the evening on the roof top at sunset its beautiful.
I arrived on Monday after much research into Nice and its hotels as my Son is a full time wheelchair user so I am used to things not being as expected. Before booking I phoned what I thought was the hotel to check the lift serviced the roof top bar and pool area as we intended to lounge around the pool for most of our stay. I was assured it did. I had already phoned other hotels and discounted them as they didn't have lifts to their roof top terraces. With this confirmed I booked the hotel. After arriving we made our way to the rooftop terrace only to find it was above the 7th floor and the lift didn't go past this floor. I went to reception and explained our predicament to the manager who said we had been given the wrong information. I was informed it was a Marriott call centre I had been in communication with so they had given me the wrong information and not the actual hotel. They were apologetic and would pass on the situation to higher authorities to ensure it doesn't happen again. The manager said that hotel staff would lift my son in his wheelchair up and down to the roof terrace as needed, and we have been give complimentary breakfast and wifi for the duration of our stay. We accepted this as there was not much else we could do. When it came to the lifting, the staff were ready within minutes and always more than willing and very friendly and it was no hassle to them. However, my son didn't want to feel like an inconvenience by continually disturbing them so once on the terrace stayed there which greatly restricted him and he couldn't just go his room or the restroom for example when he wanted. Also the other down side for us is the air con not working correctly in my Sons room; a maintenance man came to fix it but it still isn't getting cold. We haven't reported it again as I think it's just not working correctly and I have read this in previous reviews. All this being said, I must compliment the actual hotel on their staff; they are so helpful and seem really keen to help. I found the management, and particularly Vicky and Robert in the pool bar particularly helpful. The lady on reception also was very helpful with trying to arrange taxis. Victor on the information desk recommended places to eat of an evening and he was spot on every time so definitely get his opinion. The roof terrace is lovely and the pool is very nice; contrary to other reviews I have yet to see birds swimming in the pool. There are pidgeons looking for crumbs but that is it. The breakfast is nice, of good quality and plentiful and the lunch time food in the terrace bar is also very nice and of the correct portion size. Would I stay hear again; yes if I wasn't with my Son but because of the stair issue with him obviously I wouldn't. Would I recommend this hotel, yes I would.
We stayed for a short vacation. Hotel is well located, 20 min from center if the city. You can have a nice walk on promenade. Right across from the hotel is comfortable beach. You can buy tickets for it right at the hotel. Hotel is very clean. I really liked ladies and Victor ( who helped with our car) at reception. They made us feel welcome. Booked tables for us at restaurants and reserved first line on the beach. Breakfast was good too. Fruits, pastries, eggs. The only thing is that some of the rooms have doors between then and you could hear your neighbours. I would stay here againg
Stayed here a week on a Globus tour in May. As other reviews have said, you might well mistake this hotel for any Marriott in the US--good sized rooms (for Europe), comfortable bed, desk, large closet, nice bathroom, etc. It is a block from the (pebble not sand) beach/promenade. And there is underground parking (which we didn't need). There is a nice rooftop bar/ pool area; the group ate welcome/farewell dinners here. The slight downside is being located a distance from restaurants, tourist shopping and the sights. Since we never have a car in Europe, we would rather stay at a hotel closer to old-town. But there is a major bus stop a block away where you can get a bus to the main train station if you don't want to walk. BTW, by accident our trip overlapped the Grand Prix weekend and the main train station had lines to get in a line (much worse than Disney World at its worst); luckily we weren't going towards Monaco that day.
Stayed here for 3 nights on business. Hotel is at the far end of the new town, away from all the activity and restaurants, which are an easy stroll away. It's off the main promenade and most rooms do not have a sea view. Staff are great though. Rooms are average and basic, but have all the necessary amenities. Nice pool and bar on the roof.
Staff is excellent and the room was spacious and clean. The roof top pool and bar offers a great view of the beach and is quite the scene. The hotel is a short walk across the street to the beach. I would highly recommend to travelers visiting Nice.
