So many roaches

There were so many roaches. We had some tortillas that weren't in the fridge and they were all over them. They were in the bathroom, on the walls, etc. we would pick something up off the floor or move a shoe and there would be a roach underneath. This was after getting into the room with a torn privacy screen in the bathroom and a carpet in front of the door that was so torn it was a tripping hazard. Truly, I could go on and on. To ask for a 150 dollar security deposit in case of "damages" is absurd. Parking was not included either. Truly the ugliest place on earth.

I stayed at the Ritz Inn Niagara on July 1, 2025 for one night, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The location is convenient, and while it’s not right in the heart of the tourist area, it’s still close enough to everything you’d want to see. The service was excellent — from check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly and helpful. I want to give a special mention to the staff member who greeted us at arrival — she was exceptionally kind and welcoming, which really made a great first impression. Our room was very clean and well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a budget-friendly and pleasant stay in Niagara Falls. Great value and warm hospitality!

Hi, Check in office looks like a place that is beyond repair it gives out smell that I didn’t encounter in my life , employee was mildly rude and not interested, no answers !! Going to our room was a walk on a floor where you could fall in with your feet luckily it’s holding together with a couple of different broken carpets that are missing some spots !! This property looks so bad from outside that it gives a felling of a drug addiction and low moral hub and it takes the word sketchy to another level!! I’m so sorry I can’t upload pictures so everyone can see dried blood and poop stains on the sheets, we saw a bug walking on a bed and pillows smelled like they where washed 12 months ago , some wired filthy grease was everywhere in the room and on the bathroom walls , you could see three different colours on the room door and on the bottom of the door there was a hole where you could see outside!! After seeing everything I mentioned above we didn’t stay there ,and ended up spending more money than we planned for a different hotel , Expedia pictures promoting this place is at least 20years old we definitely feel robbed paying for nothing we could use ….. there is absolutely not one thing to say positive about this place I would recommend everyone considering staying there to keep away if you want to save your health …….

Not great but not bad!

The motel (it's not a hotel) is really close to the horseshoe waterfall (15 minutes walk max). There was mold in the shower when we arrived but as soon as I told them, it was cleaned perfectly. It's not a great room, but for the price, the size of the jaccuzi (for 4 person!) and to be so close of everything it was a nice stay. The bed was comfortable.

Extremely Disappointing Experience The condition of the property was far below expectations. The bathtub pipe was broken, making it impossible to take a proper bath. The cleanliness was unacceptable—washroom floors were dirty, and the towels provided were clearly unwashed. The corridor resembled a garage, with hair and cigarette butts scattered throughout. The actual facilities did not match the photos shown on the website, which felt misleading. The pool area appeared neglected, filled with debris and stagnant water—more suitable for frogs than guests. I strongly advise against booking this place based on the online images or listed amenities.

This property was such a disappointment. We reserved for 2 nights but we were not going to arrive until 330am Saturday morning. I called around 4pm Friday to let them know, and was told they close at 2am and reopen at 9am - the website does not say they close. We hoped that traffic would allow us to make up the time, but that didnt happen, so e got there Saturday morning at 10am, the carpet on the stairs was torn and dirty, ashtrays on the tables outside the doors, the pools was a swamp (literally), we get into the room and it appears clean, i check the beds (i do at every hotel) and there is caked up dog hair between the matress and boxsprings, as well as a dead bug of some sort, we immediately left. I showed the pictures to the ypung lady at the desk and she seemed very concerned, she refunded our stay and apologized.
Right side of the bed - dog hair and blood spots
Right side of the bed -dead bug between matress and boxspring
Left side of the bed - not really sure what this is.

It's not a terrible place, but it's "manageable" (at best) if you're looking for a place that doesn't cost a fortune. Your eyebrows will probably raise when you first approach it, but remember the theory that "real beauty is on the inside". It wasn't spotless, but it wasn't dirty. It's pretty outdated, but everything works. It's walking distance to a handful of restaurants and the Falls are about a 10 minute walk if you take the Incline down. The staff was very nice and helpful if needed. My biggest complaint would be the bed. It had more miles on it than a 1995 Honda Accord. The springs were all out of "spring" and you pretty much slept on the box that creaked like an old floor. For no more than 2 nights, the fridge, microwave, jacuzzi, high shower pressure and lower price could be enough to get you by, but any higher expectations and you'll be disappointed. And parking is $10 per night, but I'm pretty sure every hotel charges for it, and most charged more. I would consider staying there again (for no more than 2 nights), but it would be like trying to talk myself into sleeping on my brothers couch in his tiny 1 bedroom apartment with his wife and their newborn baby living there also.

had a very disappointing experience at Ritz Inn Niagara. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the place lacked proper maintenance. The reception area had no air-conditioning and not even a fan — it was extremely uncomfortable. While the room itself was just okay, the floor felt sticky and poorly cleaned. The overall maintenance of the property was very bad. Outside the rooms, there were cigarette butts scattered everywhere, making the place feel dirty and uninviting. This is definitely not a place I would stay at again, and I don’t recommend it to others. It really needs major improvements in cleanliness, comfort, and service.
