We were satisfied with Novotel during our stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. The buffet breakfast was really nice. The hotel is near to the beach and you can also reach great restaurants on foot. The hotel only have approx. 25 sunbeds on the beach which was a bit strange for us, but in the afternoon we could find free of them.
We stayed only one night after arriving at the nearby airport, and before facing a long drive the next day. Big hotel across the extemely busy road from the beach. Clean, and with friendly staff who were helpful and smiling. Large room with small balcony from which we could just see the sea view, but it was too hot and noisy to sit out on. Very large kingsize bed but puzzled as to why it was on one side jammed up against a full length picture window leading into the bathroom. Made getting in or out on that side very difficult and light shone in from the bathroom, waking me, when my husband got up in the middle of the night to use it. Hotel staff will help you to cross the unrelenting traffic to get to the beach, but you are on your own when coming back, extemely daunting! Very loud karaoke type music in the evening, even with windows closed it was unpleasant, fortunately stopped at 10pm. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices in a nice setting - unfortunate we had to share it with several families with very badly behaved children who ran screaming around the room. Nha Trang is in the middle of a building boom with very many new hotels and houses under construction, looks like it could double in size in the near future, hard to see how the infrastructure will cope. It is already far too busy for me, crowds of tourists throng the footpaths, popular with busloads of Chinese and Russian people. If you are imagining a quiet beach holiday this is not the place. If it sounds like your kind of holiday, ask to be directed to Lanterns restaurant about 10 minutes walk away, we had amazing Vietnamese food there at a good price.
We spent 5 days at the Novotel and each moment was wonderful. Upon arrival Huy helped us out of the taxi and ensured we were charged the correct amount. The room was high in the hotel, beautiful and had a lovely view of the ocean. There was traffic noise, but we would recommend being high up in the hotel to minimize the noise. At all times the service was attentive , friendly and helpful. We hired the private car for a number of hours and Huy took us on an amazing trip around the countryside and was the perfect tour guide. The food each morning was delicious and varied. We will be back again one day! Thank you for the amazing memories.
We stayed here a few weeks back for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. The staff were super friendly and the rooms are well equipped and pretty spacious with a sitting area and large balcony. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a superior beach view - it was truly amazing - such a beautiful view. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay but had it been sunny the beach was a stones throw from the hotel. Breakfast was brilliant, a fantastic spread, really something for everyone. Some of our group enjoyed the spa services too and said it was fab. Only had a couple of issues which was with the key card not working but staff on reception came to my aid immediately and resolved the problem... also, I stayed on level 5 or 6 (sorry can't remember exactly) but the floor above was having some building works done which meant there was a lot of banging - we were out most of the day and when we were in the room we were on the balcony so couldn't hear it but i would imagine if we had been in the room it would have been a problem as it was loud. all in all a great stay, i would definitely return.
Right opposite the beach at Nha Trang. We stayed in Premium Ocean view rooms and they were fantastic. Large variety of food for breakfast. Hotel is only allowed a certain number of beach lounges but we had no problem getting them whenever we wanted. Beach towels need replacing. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't stay in Nha Trang longer than 3 days. Too many Russians.
The main selling points of this hotel is it's direct beach access and warm, friendly staff! I was impressed by the fact that all the front desk staff knew me by name among all of the other hotel guests. There is also a security staff member usually available during the day to assist in crossing the normally very busy road in the front of the hotel for access to the hotel provided beach chairs and umbrellas. Unfortunately, the hotel is only allotted a limited number of spaces for beach umbrellas and chairs so it is highly recommended to get to the beach early to secure one. Adding to this problem is the fact that some of the beach umbrellas and chairs were broke or not functioning properly. Other than that, the rooms were comfortable and the daily breakfast buffet satisfying. There are also plenty of eating options within a short walking distance from the hotel.
The location is ideal, as it is both next to the beautiful stretch of sand that has made Nha Trang famous and very/pretty close to different points of interest (night market, Cathedral, Yersin Museum, Po Nagar Cham towers, etc.). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Amenities are ageing a bit, but the bathroom was great and the beds very comfy. The swimming pool is on the small side, but the beach is just a few steps away from the front door (ask the guard for the hidden tap to rinse the sand from your feet!) and the sea is pristine early in the morning. Breakfast was great, with excellent homemade products.
We stayed at the Novotel for 3 nights in mid April. Rooms are tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the beach and islands in the bay. Bar area lacks any form of atmosphere and service can be patchy and at times confusing HOWEVER a huge shout out to Huiew the bar tender who's Mojito was voted by our wives as second only to La Plancha in Seminyak for taste and presentation. Breakfast was fairly ordinary and its not often you see a hotel GM walking around the dining area stuffing his head with pastries. Mate get them delivered to your office, it's not a good look. The star of reception and of the hotels customer service was undoubtedly the inimitable crazy. helpful and ever friendly Mr T. If I was a hotel in Nha Trang I'd be making a big offer to lure him away. As for Nha Trang we wont be back. The place is chock full of unfriendly unsmiling Russians who seem to be perpetually drunk, sunburned and angry. The beach is dirty and one of the guests we spoke to at breakfast told us she had encountered not one, but two 'blind mullets' in the water whilst swimming. We found out later that there are much beter beaches just 45 mins north of the town!!
Great Hotel with great service . Rooms were great and very neat and comfortable. Staff were great and always willing to help. Location is excellent on the main beach road . Dining was ok not great. Will definitely stay there again , just wish I had more time there. Spa was great and reasonably priced.
Whilst travelling through Asia we found that many hotels don't care if you book interconnecting rooms for kids. They issue rooms quite far apart which means parents have to split up to each go with a child in the other room. However Novotel Nha Trang got this right and made for a perfect stay with mum and dad together and not worrying about what the kids might be getting up to in the other room! Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff working here, great rooms and a convenient location. Thanks for a special Novotel welcome and recognising my gold status and upgrading which has never been offered to me before in any other accor/Novotel hotels. Only gripe but not by any means anything to do with the Novotel is sometimes you feel you are in Russia not Vietnam. Russians have very different manners to Australians which was sometimes found very frustrating. Best stay ever!
