We booked the Luxury beachfront villa - check-in was great. They greeted you as soon as you got to the speed boats and check in was VIP and fast. We had a guest services boy take us to our villa and here is where it all fell apart. Tung - who also goes by Tom - who's English was perfect - dropped us off. We had questions about where to eat dinner - he told us we could only eat at the Wave bar (doesn't serve dinner) or the buffet, there were no other places to eat. We asked him for a map of the Island - he said they were out of maps and there were none online. He said there was nothing else or no where else to go on the island. We felt like once he brought our bags to us and dropped us off that we were on our own and not getting the answers or the customer service we should be at such an establishment where we spent so much a night to say there. We asked Tom to take us around the island and we spoke to a concierge who told us MANY NOT TO MISS things on the Island and gave us a MAP! On our tour we found out there was numerous resorts there, many restaurants and things to do - ALL of which we had access to because we were staying at Luxury. We IMMEDIATELY changed resorts. For such a high end resort, we should not have had to deal with Tom for a second. The other issue was our view on the luxury side. All you see is the city, the Tram and speed boats 24 hrs a day. Pics must have been photoshopped - definitely wasn't worth the money and we were happy to leave Tom and the city view!
We stayed here for two nights with our two children aged 6 and 8 years. We stayed in a beach side villa with a private pool and it was just beautiful. I couldn’t fault the service or the beauty of the resort. The pool was huge and quiet. We were well looked after. We didn’t realise that the hotel was next to a theme park when we made the booking and my children were delighted. There is no noise from the theme park in the resort. The hotel provided free transfers around the island and luxury resort guests were not kept waiting. I was so impressed with this hotel, we loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
We travelled to Vinpearl Luxury in April on a Luxury escapes package. We stayed in one of the villas with direct beach access with its own pool. Pros: Staff were so attentive from the moment we arrived at the airport The resort itself was easy to get around as it wasn't too big which was great because it meant it wasn't too busy The beach was right there as soon as we stepped out of the villa and was beautiful and clean You can get around the island using the resort shuttles so it was easy getting to Vinpeal Land and to the boats which take you over to Nha Trang You can get massages and other beauty services at the resort. We got a foot massage and a full body massage and they were amazing. The Bar is located on a little pier where you can see the lights of Nha Trang and listen to the water. Very quiet and nice place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day Cons: The cocktails were not very alcoholic so it felt like you were just having a juice The breakfast and dinner buffet which were included in our package didn't offer very mucy vegetarian food. Each night they assured me that there would be more options the next night but there never was. Having said that, there was a wide variety of food if you weren't vego You also had to pay for a water with the dinner buffet which seemed a little weird Overall it was a great place to stay, very relaxing, the staff were amazing and make you feel like you're the only people there.
We had six wonderful nights relaxing at this resort 9-15 April. It has an enormous beautiful pool and a lovely clean beach area. The standard of service by the staff in all areas was 10/10. The room was very big, clean and well serviced daily (except for one day when the sheets had holes in them and were stained) and the private villa pool and outdoor area was kept nice and clean as well. It was lovely sitting down at the Waves Bar over the water each evening. We had two massages at the spa and the ladies there were lovely and the facilities excellent. We also had a cooking class with the executive chef which was very enjoyable. Our private transfers to and from the airport were also excellent. If you want to do anything else on the island (eg the amusement or water park, the pagoda, golf course, etc) the staff quickly organise a tuk tuk to take you where you want to go. Don, the restaurant manager, was very friendly and greeted us by name from the first night. The breakfast buffet was very good each morning and generally the nightly buffets were good with enough variety although at night often the food wasn’t hot enough. Our main suggestion for improvement would be with the barbecue food section as the chef out there overcooked the seafood, especially the octopus which was too tough to eat every time we had it. Perhaps a couple of paddle boards and kayaks for the beach area would be good too. We highly recommend this resort especially for couples who would like to relax at a quieter resort and be well looked after.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive, we felt like the only guests there, very special beautiful unique place, ultimate luxury resort, worth every dollar!! From arrival at the mainland reception we were treated like royalty, smooth private jet boat ride to the island reception, and private check in. Our room (beachfront with private pool) was huge, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely personalised welcoming touches. We chose the full board option and the meals whilst buffet style were fresh and delicious with plenty of options including Vietnamese. Gorgeous white sandy beach with sun beds and beach bar. The pier bar is also a spectacular location.
From the moment we were greeted at the airport we were treated like royalty. The highest standard of service was second to none. From the transfer staff (bus, boats, buggies), to the concierge and baggage handlers, food & beverage staff, cleaners and lifeguards, everyone single member of staff contributed to the fantastic service we received. Our room was luxurious and spacious and was serviced daily. The restaurant and room service were also excellent. Small gestures such as the welcome and farewell treats and the fresh fruit basket were a nice touch. My only negative comment (which isn’t even bad) would be that we didn’t use our private pool as the beautiful beach and resort pool were right at our doorstep. For anyone looking for a resort to relax with all the trimmings, Vinpearl should not be overlooked.
The Vinpearl Luxury is a beautiful hotel where you can escape the loud noise of the Mainland. The property is very nice, clean and all i expect. Staff was very friendly and nice but sometimes a little ungainly but on an acceptable way. I can recommend this hotel.
Just had a lovely stay at the Vinpearl Luxury Resort at Nha Trang. We stayed in a Beachfront Villa which was great. There was also a plunge pool at the rear of the villa, but we didn’t end up using it as it was in the shade from around lunchtime and there was also not enough room to sit near it, as well as no lounges or chairs around the pool. The beach is just lovely and there are plenty of lounges and umbrellas to sit under and enjoy the whole experience. The main pool is enormous and we used it on a daily basis. In all we had a lovely stay, only negatives were that our villa (012) was quite a long walk from the restaurant and the food. Breakfast and Dinner was included with our accommodation which sounds like a great deal, unfortunately the food lacked variety and over the course of an 8 night stay became very boring. We also noticed on the first night that the lights used to keep some of the food hot were not doing the job and the food was cold and unappetizing. We mentioned it to the staff who didn’t seem to understand the issue and the cold food remained an issue for our entire stay.
Nha Trang is nothing like you've seen; with ocean views, city views and mountain views combined, Vinpearl Luxury is the perfect place to view it all from the front of your room. We arrived to be greeted by a friendly staff member at the airport, and quickly escorted to a speed boat which took us to Hon Tre Island. Staff were friendly, although, some were difficult to communicate with due to a lack of English, however, everyone would say hello to you from management to garden maintenance staff which was lovely. The villa is spacious, and what we expected from the photos. Styling is quite traditional, bed is large and comfortable, and air conditioner worked perfectly. We had a private plunge pool out the back, and the mini bar fridge was stocked with one complimentary use. With being new to the area, we decided to walk to the nearby 'Wave Bar', and were instantly welcomed with warmth from Anh and No, who were the loveliest bar staff. They both spoke English well, engaged in conversation with us, and answered our 101 questions from what to do on the island, to menu recommendations. The Wave Bar instantly became a safe haven for us which we returned to the following day, only to meet the wonderful manager Nenad, who gave us a rundown on all the spots throughout all the resorts, as well as some sight seeing spots throughout Nha Trang. The three of them are truly the dream team, and were a highlight of our time at Vinpearl Luxury. Each morning we had buffet breakfast included at the Blue Lagoon restaurant. This was a short walk from our villa, but towards the end of our stay we found the options got quite boring and some mornings we preferred to skip our included meal. Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Vinpearl Luxury, we did feel that the staff didn't make it clear enough what we had access to staying at Vinpearl Luxury including access to all the other Vinpearl resorts and restaurants, or the nearby entertainment facility 'Ocean Hill'. We were fortunate that Nenad, Anh and No gave us a brief on all this shortly after arrival, despite them being Food and Beverage staff, and not responsible for our introduction to the resort. There are also a lot of expansion works happening at the moment, which meant that most mornings we were waking up to dynamite explosions, which shook our whole villa. Whilst we had a note in our room advising of this, we did not know this prior to booking, which may have impacted our decision to stay at Vinpearl Luxury resort. Overall, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, Vinpearl might be right for you. Their exclusivity meant we had plenty of privacy, and no large and/or noisy groups where ever we went (in the Vinpearl Luxury vicinity). Despite being off the mainland, we could easily go across using the speed boat service which ran every 30 mins 24/7. If we wanted move around the resort we could quickly walk over to reception who would organise us a tuk tuk to get us to where wanted to be. There are plenty of activities held, moreso at the other resorts than at Luxury, but staff can organise to move you around with ease. Overall a wonderful experience, and would love to go back for a visit in a few years when hopefully all the development works are complete.
My husband and I stayed at Vinpearl Luxury for two days and thankfully it was a short stay. We heard mixed reviews about this resort but decided to give it a chance and thought what better way to spend our time in Nha Trang than with vin pearl, well known in vietnam for its luxury hotels. While there were some signficant cons about this resort, I'm giving the hotel a 3 star overall rating as I do acknowledge some positives about the resort: The food was underwhelming. For a luxury resort, we were expecting food of higher quality. Vinpearl definitely misses the mark here and seems confused on a culinary level. We tried both restaurants (buffet and what they label as authentic vietnamese sit down) and both missed the mark for us. I felt that the vietnamese food didnt taste authentic, while the buffet with more american flare also fell flat. While the resort seems to try hard to provide variety, the resort seems to have trouble perfecting both types of offerings. We also tried the in room dining option and ordered two coffees and a burger. We specifically requested that one coffee come with ice and sugar separate as vietnamese coffee tends to run more on the sweeter side as well as a medium rare cook on the burger. Although the staff member we spoke with said we can expect it to arrive in 15 min, we waited OVER AN HOUR before we decided to call again to check on the order. The order then arrived 20 min later ( now over 1 hour and 20 min wait) and the coffee was incorrect and burger COLD and dry. We did have one good meal at the resort and that was the beef Pho at the breakfast buffet. The only authentic vietnamese dish we had with what appeared to be noodles made from scratch. Also, the wave bar had some great tapas, however we both got a stomach ache after. The accommodations also was underwhelming. Our room smelled musty and the dust on the dark colored floors were noticeable. The fruit platter was a nice touch, however, the fruit didn't appear fresh and caused a fruit fly frenzy in our room. Also, the most alarming issue with our room is what we noticed in our private pool. We were excited to spend some time relaxing in the pool but only to find what looked like long worms at the bottom of the pool. We promptly called the front desk to ask them to clean out the pool. They did have someone come to fish it out, but we inquired on whether they could have someone change out the water as a precaution. After speaking to two different people who assured it would be done, no one came by to clean out the water so we were not able to use the private pool. Also, the next day, we found more in the pool and realized that it could possibly be tree snakes. A couple inches long and curling at the bottom of the pool (our pool did have a tree beside it). Either way - we did not want to risk getting in our private pool and considering our short stay we just called it a loss. Upon check out, when asked if there was anything wrong with our stay, we informed the manager of the worm/snake situation in our pool so that they are aware in the case of future guests. While the manager was apologetic and we certainly werent expecting anything out of telling her, we definitely felt that customer service would have called for more in this situation. She said she would have it checked out right away, but it didn't appear that way after as she did not seem concerned. So why still 3 stars considering the above? Despite the overall negative experience I want to credit vinpearl where warranted. The service that we experienced to and from the airport was incredible. Although our flight from Hong Kong was delayed we had a very patient staff member waiting for us at the airport. The boat ride to the resort was also a fine experience adding to the "get away" feel. The wait staff that we encountered at the buffet and restaurants were kind, attentive and hardworking. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the beach front was relaxing and serene. The wave bar area was a beautiful setting - pristine water with lots of fish during the day and romantic setting at night with lots of dim lit lights. The hotel also was good about having trolleys always available to commute from your room to other areas on the resort. Overall, we did have high hopes for this place however, we also knew the risk we were taking reading other reviews. Unfortunately, we paid a high price for it. We definitely have received a true luxury experience at other resorts in Vietnam and this didn't make the mark for us.
