We stayed in both the upper and lower units of this beachfront home in Newport, and overall it was a great fit for our group.Each unit has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which worked well for our family of nine (grandparents, adults, teenagers, and younger kids). The layout gave everyone space, though the one thing that would have made it even better is if the units were connected internally—you do have to go outside to move between them.The property was spotless upon arrival, and the host/property management was extremely responsive. On our first day, we had a toilet overflow in one of the bathrooms, but they had someone there within 20 minutes to fix it. Immediately after, another crew came in, fully cleaned the bathroom and restocked towels, which we really appreciated.Between the two units, the upper unit is definitely the standout. The stainless steel appliances, along with the sloped ceilings and skylights, give it a much more open, updated, and comfortable feel. The lower unit is still functional, but it could use some updates—particularly the refrigerator, which was an eyesore, and some of the bedroom and living room furniture, which felt dated and mismatched.The location is excellent—just a few houses down from Cabo Cantina and other restaurants, yet we had no issues with noise at all. The beach is right out front, and our teenagers and kids loved being able to walk to the Balboa Fun Zone or head straight to the sand within minutes. The area felt very safe.
