Great place within walking distance of most anything. Ornate accents and character. Staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you don't get an interior room unless you don't want a window. Ours was supper quiet and dark, but felt a little cloister phobic

We stayed here for two nights, needed an extra night and ended up Priceline-ing the Mariott for the third night. The location is great! Despite some awful construction on the roads, it is located near to a lot of great restaurants, and walking distance to the Quarter. The room is TINY with a TINY bathroom and two chairs. There are no other amenities, save a newspaper in the morning. Coffee is a Keurig in the lobby only. One elevator is a bit musty smelling (there are only two elevators). Overall an ok place to stay, but two nights was our max!

The location is great. Room was very dark and small.

We arrived a little after noon for check in and had no problem getting our room. Our car was valet parked until 4pm the next day for $38. The room was an interior room with great appeal. I loved the classic marble tile in the bathroom and the Keurig in the room. I requested decaf pods and they were delivered to the room. The front desk kept our luggage after check out so we could wonder around the French quarter. It was about a 10 minute easy walk to Jackson square. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location and very quiet hotel. Front desk was very helpful

Nice hotel comfortable room high ceilings. Smelled in lobby though of hotel

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. 24 hour valet parking was convenient and my car was brought to me very quickly. Hotel was nice, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. It was nice to stay within a couple of blocks from French Quarter without being in the middle of the craziness of the Quarter.

I had a good experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly. However our room wasn't cleaned on time one day, it wasn't until like 7 p.m we had to call the front desk to complain, so that was annoying. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The hotel is located one block from Canal Street, not far from French Quarter or the Convention Center. Very good location. The area is quiet. Right next to the popular breakfast spot, Ruby Slipper which was delicious. I would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Elegant building and rooms.

They didn't tell me they were putting me in a room without windows and wouldn't move me to a different one. It was dark & depressing. The staff was friendly but uniquely un-helpful (wouldn't clean the room unless you're out by 9, couldn't recommend a restaurant, etc.). Great for vampires and people allergic to vitamin D.

When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly front desk personal but after that it was like walking into the bates Motel. The overall appearance is old and the entire hotel has a old water smell. The room was very small and not having a window made it even worse. After a through overview of my room it was noted that the ceilings had old paint, dust, and just a overall sketchy look. The bed was very uncomfortable and after sleeping over for just one night in preparation for my cruise I caught a cold due to the stile air and shady black dust coming from the vent.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Seemed to be old - in a good way. The decor was French traditional. It was right a cross the street from the Sheraton and JW Marriott - where I was attending a convention. The rate was better than the Sheraton and I would much rather stay in something with local and historical flavor than the corporate opulence of the Sheraton. Housekeeping staff was extremely friendly. The only thing it is lacking is a bar in the hotel - but that may be a good thing - because I got to experience a lot of the local bars and restaurants that have been in New Orleans for hundred years or more. It was within walking distance of the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, the big hotels where all the conventions are, and great food.

This was a business trip we maximized into a mini-break. The hotel was beautifully clean with plenty of great fresh towels and an attentive and cheerful front desk team. My only issue was the noise--at 4:00-6:00 AM when revelers return and pour into the room next-door, it sounds like they are in YOUR room. They were not especially loud or obnoxious--the walls are just THAT thin. I am very hard of hearing and noise is almost never a problem for me. Otherwise not a bad stay and may return for business soon if I need to get up THAT early again.

The hotel provided an excellent location for walking. It was one street over from Canal Street and the French Quarter was reasonably close. The location provided for quite evenings for soothing sleep compared to the hustle of other hotels. The hotel appeal focused on the historical aspect and the lobby reflected accordingly. The rooms were smaller than we hotel rooms we knew well, but it provides sufficient enjoyment for my wife and myself. We would stay again for another trip with the cost savings prices offered in NOLA.

I have stay at this beautiful hotel 4 times in the last 3 years and I have never had a bad experience here!! And I will stay again on my next trip to NOLA!!!

My experience from this hotel was very good. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well.

Please publish my comments online. Itinerary #7205235732089 Super horrible disaster happened!!! During my living 1st day, after the house keeping I lost all of my staffs including valuable private thing even food, clothes, pants, etc. Although some part of my personal things is found back, I still lost some personal thing! My clothes is thrown directly to the trash can so that everything is polluted and dirty. I had to suddenly stop my trip. It seriously and deadly affect my emotion!!! Although the hotel pay some money for my compensation, I think the hotel general manager is not enough and no sincerity at all! This bloodcurdling experience make me so scared and angry!!! I can not find a sentence to express my feeling!!!

it was ok. hotel was clean and very well located. I was surprised that the main door closes at 11:00 but you can still use your key to get in.

no breakfast, no swimming pool, no gym but good location

Quaint but lovely hotel. Great location, close to French Quarter. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean.Great brunch place next door. Will stay there again .
