Home / "Old School House" was EXCEPTIONAL. Host is wonderful. We stayed for 6 nights and saw new items each day that we had not yet noticed. Owners have impeccable taste. Home has HUGE windows with wonderful Sunlight. I highly recommend this home. There were plenty of "local" restaurants in the nearby towns. Plenty of chain restaurants as well, but we prefer to eat local.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spacious, inviting, and thoughtfully curated the entire place was. There are amenities galore along with plenty of peaceful spaces, making it the perfect retreat from the city. Whether you’re traveling with family or a group of friends, this house offers a great mix of activity and tranquility. Highly, highly recommend this one of a kind property!

We LOVED our stay at The School House! The home is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The pool was a standout — perfectly sized for families with little ones and incredibly well maintained with its refreshing salt water. Hunter and his family have created such a warm, welcoming retreat. We’re already looking forward to the chance to return!

Beautiful property just 1.5hrs from the city

We had a wonderful stay at Hunters property. Check in and walkthrough process with the property manager was easy. The house has plenty of space, 2 TV rooms, large kitchen and sitting room and a separate dining area. We traveled with friends, our 16 year old and our 1 year toddler. There was enough activities for everyone to enjoy. The basement has a gym, pool table, ping pong and a sauna. We look forward to coming back in the summer when the pool is open. Highly recommend this space for a weekend getaway.

Christmas get together

We had a wonderful stay at the School House for a family Christmas. The owner had put up a huge, beautiful Christmas tree and plus other fun decorations. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen with its big island was awesome. There are lots of areas to hang out in - handy if you need a breather from the relatives! Also loved the sauna.

Gorgeous and unique property

We enjoyed our stay at the School House! The house is huge and beautifully renovated - top of the line everything. We loved hanging by the pool and the kids enjoyed running around on the lawn, using the swing set, ping pong, etc! Lots of ways to stay entertained in a calm and peaceful environment! One small thing is that the couches are very low and were hard for my 82 year old dad to navigate, but we figured it out! Thanks Hunter for being a great host!

Great Getaway!

The house truly lived up to our highest expectations. The space is perfect for a group gathering of friends or family! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were impeccable. Amazing stay!

This rental is really amazing. We have rented many properties and this was one of the very best. The house was spotless, the style was very cool, the kitchen was incredible and stocked, and Hunter was an incredible host. He made everything super easy—offered early check in, followed up with any issues, and reached out several times to make sure everything was going well. The house is really unique, with very high ceilings and lots of nooks to hang out in. The screened in porch was a perfect place to relax (with a hammock) and the pool is great. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, very clean house this is one to check out. We were so happy with our stay and hope to return!

Magnificent

What a beautiful, clean, and serene property. We, ages 3 to 45, enjoyed everything about this charming house. It is well appointed, light-filled, and inviting. Thank you Hunter! This was a much needed vacation and the schoolhouse was the perfect location for it! Can't wait to come back next summer!

The Magical School House!

From the second I booked the property to the second I pulled out of the driveway, my experience at the school house was impeccable and unforgettable. Hunter is a fabulous host and was there to greet myself and my friends to give us a tour and share some insight about the property. The kitchen is stocked with all your essential cooking ware and each bathroom had plenty of towels. The pool and property are wonderful. The interiors are stunning. That bath tub- heaven! Me and my friends will certainly be returning. Bravo to Hunter!

Great weekend getaway!

Such an amazing and beautiful space! The house was clean and welcoming. It is modern, but comfortable, with high end finishes while keeping the character and history of the building in tact. The kitchen is filled with high end appliances, all the basic kitchen/cooking necessities (including ground coffee), and a large island with seating, overlooking the main living space which had a Fluance Bluetooth speaker. In the dining room, there’s a sitting area and a large dining table that seats 10. There is also a family room with a large tv, overlooking the pool. There are four bedrooms. Two master bedrooms with king beds, one with a full bathroom en-suite (large shower and soaker tub) and the other with a half bath en-suite, a bedroom off the kitchen with a queen bed, and a kids themed bedroom off the dining area with bunk beds (but fine for adults too!) and a full bathroom en-suite. There is also a third full bathroom off the kitchen. All the beds were super comfortable and showers were great. The backyard is gorgeous, with an in ground salt water pool, lounge chairs and a screened in porch which is a great outdoor spot at night. It also has a play set for kids. There are some other surprises too that I don’t want to give away. Hunter was a great host. He was very responsive and accommodating, opening the pool up early so we could enjoy. Hunter even organized a personal chef experience at the house (the large dining table was perfect for this!) which included delicious appetizers, main courses, desserts and coffee, and wine. He made sure all of our dietary restrictions were taken into consideration which was very important as we had someone with a severe gluten allergy in our group. The location is nice and easy to get to. There are a lot of wineries, cideries, and restaurants in the area, but we spent most of our time at the house and by the pool because it was so nice. We booked this spot for a low key bachelorette weekend and the bride to be had a blast. Thanks for a great time, Hunter! We will be back for sure.
