Wyndham Vacation Resorts - Nashville

Don't try to check in early they will not accommodate. I tried to with 4 little boys and they did not even try even though we called a day prior to request because of an early flight

I searched Orbitz for hotels outside Nashville and the Wyndham appeared, pricing seemed decent And proximity to downtown but boy do they hound you for a resort / time sharing 90 minute tour- I said probably not but I guess I was not emphatic enough or their persistence was greater-- headache time -- on vacation to enjoy downtown life not listen to sales pitches- Beware!!!!

Traveling on business. Great more of a home setting..

Nice facility. Activities on site, long walk to pool and office.

Everyone at the hotel the staff the cleaning people were very comforting. The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Nashville and the grand old Opry recommend

The room was clean and big. The free wifi could only check email, if you wanted to watch a video you had to pay 10.00 a day for faster internet. Bed was hard as a rock, back and neck killing me and we were only there 3 nights. Shower/tub wouldn't drain, but they did fix that.

The hotel room was nice, 1 bedroom suite with kitchen and a big balcony. But it was a little outdated with the brass fixtures and hardware. And for such a big balcony, there was one tiny table. The shower doors kept sticking and then two rollers fell off as we showered on check out day. The guests 2 floors above us were very loud and partying late into the night Friday and Saturday on their balcony even screaming at times. The first night the people right above us were stomping very loud late but then didn't hear them the rest of the time. The bed in the bedroom was very uncomfortable and pullout bed was slightly uncomfortable. Our backs hurt real bad each morning. But suite was spacious, nice kitchen and great working air conditioner.

My husband and I and two other couples went to Nashville for the weekend for some sporting events. Many reviewers complained about the sales pitch, but we never had an issue. We avoided the whole thing by not going to concierge! This resort was a great place to stay. We had a suite which could sleep all 6 of us. The price was unbeatable $200/night. We were a $15 cab ride from downtown and seconds from Opryland, Grand Ole Opry and the mall. I would highly recommend this place for your trip to Nashville if you plan on sightseeing, enjoying the nightlife downtown, taking in sports, or if you just want to sit by the pool and relax. You can do it all at this hotel! And for the price, you can't beat it. Downtown hotels can be expensive, but with other people you can divide this cost and only have to pay a quick cab fee (which again, you can split) and overall still makes this place cheaper. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. We had no complaints! Highly recommend!

This place will charge you for a room refresh, late check out, and anything they can. There is no free shuttle to downtown and it's about a 15-20 minute drive in. I had asked two customer services reps if they could delay my checkout from 10am to 12 pm so that my pregnant girlfriend could deal with morning sickness. They both denied my request for 2 hours and told me the rates of 35 the first hour and 100 every subsequent hour not checked out! Unreal as I have stayed here before. They also have a major big problem being next to a swamp. Wasps, spiders, Mosquitos, and nats were everywhere. Disgusting. I will never stay at any Wyndham resort ever again!

My wife and I went for a relaxing weekend to visit the Nashville area. Had a wonderful time at the Grand Ole Opry, Downtown Nashville on Broadway St., and surrounding restaurants. Hotel with their shuttle service was perfect.

This is a resort with nice pools and work out room. The grounds are well kept. It is very quiet. Since this is a resort all the units have a washer and dryer. You do all the laundry of towels. There is no room service. There is no complimentary shuttle so if you do not have a car it gets pricy to come and go.

The outdoor pool was open and heated in March. What a treat after driving in from the frigid Northern states. Staff were very friendly. We liked it so much we booked an extra night.

This property was very convenient to my destination and it was a great value for my stay!!

From the friendly greeting at the welcome center to checkout, our experience with Wyndham was perfect.

This is a timeshare resort so you will be "invited" to a "workshop/presentation" on Wyndham. Our room had great, comfortable beds which is our number one priority. Its proximity to Grand Ole Opry is excellent and, while it is about 8 miles to downtown, it is a relatively easy and quick drive.

As always, a great stay at Wyndham Nashville. Good location, clean accomodations, friendly and very helpful staff. WIll always stay here when in Nasvhille.

Pros: - The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and did their jobs well. We had a smooth check in and out (although we made sure to be at the front desk at 9:30 for check out... more to come on that later.) Cons: - We stayed in a one bedroom, one bath suite. Although the amenities for the kitchenette were excellent and up to date, and the room cleanliness was just okay, the rest of the suite needs a little TLC and updating. The "pullout" couch in the living room is the most uncomfortable I have ever witnessed; both as a couch and pullout queen "bed". As for the king bed in the bedroom... it is very uncomfortable as well. I usually do not have a problem sleeping; I guess you could call me a "hard" sleeper. But with this uncomfortable bed, I tossed and turned until 5 AM. ... If you are looking for relaxation and a good nights sleep... this is NOT what you want! - We were told at check in the check out procedures were to be at the front desk no later than 10 AM or your credit card would be charged an extra $100 for every hour you are late. We made sure we were at the front desk, checking out, by 9:30 AM. - I could be over-exaggerating, but the whole resort gave off a super conservative "cult" feeling. "Quite time" is 11 PM - 7AM... which is fine and I completely agree with; but if we were out of our room after 11 PM, we felt that we would "get in trouble" by the security. I know it sounds odd, but that's exactly how we felt about this resort... ODD. - The walls are PAPER THIN. We could hear exact conversation of the family in the suite next to ours. And don't even get me started with the bathroom. You'd better hope the person in the next room is not in the bathroom the same time as you because both of you will be able to hear everything... AWKWARD. - The bottom line: this resort / suite just gives off a bad vibe. By the second day, we were both saying, "I just want to go home!" A vacation resort should not make you feel this way. If we weren't made to prepay the two nights we stayed in the suite, we would have found another place to stay for the second night.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly.

Adequate 2nd floor unit for 2 nights. Was there in early spring and real noisy because walls were like paper thin. We were told flood a few years back wiped out all 1st floors and they had been redone so would have liked to have seen our reserved 1st floor but when checking in was coaxed into 2nd floor unit that had been remodeled? We saw new paint, new kitchen appliances, new carpet but trim work and bathroom was dated and beat. Bedroom was the nicest area. Did I mention noisy? Very close to Opryland, parking spot close to room, seemed to have events going were a plus for this location.

We stayed at the Wyndam 2/28 thru 3/3 2013. Saturday morning we were awakened by a shrill alarm. I guess it was a fire alarm . Our building #13 was blaring. No one from the hotel knew what was going on. They didn'tknow if there was a fire. They told us to stand outside our rooms. It was about 25 degrees. After the alarm was turned off there was no communication from the hotel to the guests on what had happened. Was there a fire? Were we safe? nobody knew. I never felt so unsafe at a hotel. The entire situation could not have been handled any poorer. For $377 dollars, what a disaster.
