This hotel looked good online and was cheaper than other hotels in this category. in Naples. It did not have stellar reviews so we worried about our booking...until we arrived and found that there is nothing wrong with this hotel! The lobby is pleasant and the check-in staff were courteous, professional, efficient and helpful. We had a room which was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Our room was not outdated or in need of repair. We had a great view of the port, the palace, the castle and Capri. The hotel was located within easy walking distance of cafe’s, restaurants, the market, shopping and attractions. We saved hundreds of dollars on our stay by choosing this hotel over other hotels that are within 1-3 blocks of the NH Ambassador. So my tip to you is don’t always listen to what other write in their reviews. I am a very experienced traveler and, in my opinion, this hotel should have a significantly higher review score.
solid hotel with nice clean room.breakfast was plenty but dinner in house was a bit pricey.plenty of discounted but good quality shopping nearby.overall nice trip but some areas nearby can be risky.most locals friendly and helpful.
The staff was pleasant and helpful which for me always is a reason to consider a return visit in the future. The room I had during my week's stay was spacious, elegant and well cleaned. From the window I could see a fantastic panorama of Naples and the Naples Bay with Capri in the horizon. I however found breakfast to be slightly too expensive, since I was there on a private budget.
Nice 4* chain hotel. Location good - less than 5min walk from metro. Reception staff friendly and helpful. We had room 1925 which on the 19th flood had great views! Room was clean and comfy. Bathroom - serious problem with limescale in the toilet, made me feel sick to look at it! The shower was either very weak or needed a new head as you had a dribble and no spray. Toiletries were nice quality. Breakfast was nice and of a good quality and variety. It’s advertised as until 12:00 at the weekend but we found by 11:00 most of the food had gone and didn’t seem to be replenished. Air conditioning - as we have found out on our trip across Italy, apparently you can’t have air conditioning switched on until the summer. So even though it was 22+ deg C during the day you can’t have any cold air in your room so at night it was uncomfortably warm on one night. Overall great hotel would return!
Last weekend we stayed in this hotel in Naples: it was a big disappointment. It was dirty: the toilet was really really bad (specially when you’re sitting in the bath and you see it from below), the carpet had stains and the bathroom was old and dirty. For Italian standards the breakfast was disappointing, and the cappuccinos tasted very bad (an old coffee machine, milk added). I’ve been to many NH Hotels before, but this was by far the most unsatisfactory experience. If you have to pay 180 euro’s a night, even more then I pay for an amazing NH Hotel in Rotterdam, the NHow, it’s even more frustrating. And last but not least: no coffee machine in the room, no shower gel the next day and cleaners talking loudly in the hall way on an early Sunday morning.
We want to the hotel for 2 nights and it was a wonderful stay. I recommend the last floor of the hotel because of the breathtaking views! The breakfast was great and the service very fast. Congratulations to the reception team (specially to Pascual), the check in/out was in one second and all the receptionists were very helpful all the time. It is a must repeat and hopefully very soon!
Just returned from a business trip where we got a prebooked rooms with certain discount price. Location is convenient but certainly rooms are not 4* worth. buffet offer is standard. Bathroom was dirty with a small shower cabin and shower was almost out of function. This is certainly not a hotel that I would recommend for a person looking for nice and clean place to stay.
This hotel is definitely not 4 stars. The room is dated, dirty, old fashioned and poorly designed. I would not recommend this hotel as there are plenty others near by, similarly priced and much better. Disappointed that I booked this but hopefully breakfast tomorrow will make up for the short comings!
Breakfast was left unreplenished for 15 minutes, and there’s no kettle facility in the rooms. The hotel bar closes early, and some of the staff appear dis-interested. In general; there seemed to be no staff when you needed them. We stayed in another NH hotel as part of the same trip (which was brilliant) but the Ambassador was severely lacking. A real shame.
Horrible the hotel has 4* but looks like one with 2* The bathroom was dirty, the furniture was broken and the shower did not work. a lot of food but very bad and it's not fresh we do not recommend this hotel!
