We spent 4 nights at the NH Ambassador. The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. Good closet size with plenty of hangers. Good one-day laundry service. Breakfast was OK ... the panacotta and babàs were excellent but the hot options were limited (only scrambled eggs, bacon and a few vegetables) and the coffee was just so-so. Our son's bathroom was fine (apparently renovated recently), but ours was a bit old, the toilet didn't always flush properly and the lighting was poor. Service offered by the reception staff was a bit slow, but efficient. In comparison to other NH hotels,this one is a bit below standard, but we would probably come back because of its excellent location and stunning views over the bay.
Good things: fast internet Location Friendly reception help although they are not able to make a booking extension. you will be connected to phone to discuss any booking at the desk - very poor. Bad things Had a room at 18th floor and was very unhappy with the cleanness of various room items. Counted many black hairs in the bathroom, even one big long hair on the towels. Dirt in the bath tub. Carpet is showing lot's of dirt and spots. No sufficient 220 Volts connections close to the bed. Walls in the room are dirty. In general the room and bathroom are very outdated. No free drinking water in room. Will not choose NH again.
Despite the very good looking photos in their website, the room is average. However the bathroom is just horrible, dirty, small and full of mold to the shower walls. The ceiling has marks from drain water and if your over 1,80 cm height then you won't be able to shower. And let's not forget that you wouldn't be able to sit to the toilet. On the other hand, the lobby looks very fabulous, but this is nothing compered to the room. Also the check-in agent was pretty slow but very friendly.
Bathroom issues of leaking water through the ceiling and light bulbs failing twice in the shower recess as well as some less than helpful staff on the front desk influenced my opinion of this hotel, which is generally good value for money and is well located in Naples.
Even if the hotel is well located, our room were old, the pieces of furniture, the walls and the floor were not in a good condition. And the cleaning of the bathroom was poor : sclale depostis and mold on the bathtub.
So helpful with the recommendations on the tours around Naples 😊 Tour guide "Naples by night"; by Riccardo Longobardo, was excellent! Ferry ⛴ to Ischia, fully recommended. The Hotel was awesome and breakfast amazing variety! Ciao Naples be back!!!
The only reason I couldn't give 4* to this property is due to the fact it was in dire need of a refurbishment. As a brand NH hotel is really lovely but this hotel seemed to be more of a business group / large tour group hotel; very old fashion furniture and needed maintenance (the AC in my room wasn't working and had to call the electrician to fix it) There is no complimentary water in the rooms either. Bathroom is very small. The good things are : 1/ all the rooms start from a high floor so great views 2/ close to the Naples train station (10 mins drive) 3/ close to attractions 4/ 15-20 mins walk to the famous Gino Sorbillo pizzerie 5/ 2 really good Italian restaurants opposite the road 6/ really good spread for breakfast (however no live eggs / eggs to order) We were only here for a night so none of the other things really bothered us - but it lacks the qualities and amenities of a 4* hotel.
I have to say that the best at this hotel is the staff , they are really 24/7 in the position to help you with whatever you need, Always with a smile, thank you NH Napoli, you make my visit more Special! I just have to recommed to take the top floors spacially the nummer 30, the view is awesome.
This hotel had a few tour groups staying, but they seemed to be understaffed. The price was good and the room was clean and quiet. It was an easy walk to places. The breakfast was really nice. We had a nice view of the fort and ocean. The other person in our group, the staff could never get the room cooled, so that made for an uncomfortable sleep.
Showers not clean nor were the toilets in the second room occupied. No staff in the bar in the evening. In general the hotel lacked staffing in general as they were doubling up on jobs. The food was good. I would not stay there again in this tired old hotel.
