Best bang for your buck

We were given a choice of which room we wanted. We went with an older cabin with a kitchenette, our friends went with a newly renovated room. Both had their own charm. For the price this was an excellent place to stay. Close to everything we wanted to do. Very quiet even though it was right on the highway. clean, comfortable accommodations

A Hidden Gem on Island Highway

We were most impressed with the cleanliness and all the supplies, accoutrements and the service. The room itself was a nine out of ten, certainly of higher standard than the basic street appearance of the property. We would definitely stay again. the Bargain of the Summer.

Nice little place, too bad for the room odour.

I really like the kitchenette concept that is not extra-charge at this motel. A small fridge, stove-top and micro-wave, as well as 'just' enough dishes are there for you. It is a nice room over-all. The big negative is the odour of the room. Upon entering our room, the stale, stinky smell was over-whelming. They were fully booked, and she said that we had the room for three people, so we didn't complain- who wants to complain on holiday? Trying to make the best, we turned on the fan (in the window, the A/C unit), the bathroom fan as well we opened the window. The worst of it cleared and we slept with both fans operating to try to give ourselves clean air while we slept. Upon leaving for the day, we left the A/C unit on , as well as the bathroom fan, trying to avoid the stench upon return. Well, they switched them off! So now we had to smell the stink all over again when we returned. This action seemed chintzy, especially given the price that we were paying- I mean, the room clearly has an issue, let the air circulate!!! Leave the fan on and your guests will enjoy the room so much more.
