indoor pool is why you would stay here. Very comfortable temperature. Nice hot hot tub. Kids loved it. only downside is whole floor that pool is on smells strongly of chlorine. continental breakfast was perfect beds could be more comfortable. wish there were more hooks to hang wet towels

Came to Nanaimo ahead of my daughter’s sports tournament so she’d be well rested the morning of but honestly getting up really early and taking the 6:15 am ferry would have been better than this! Cons: The rooms are tired and in need of an update but that didn’t stop us from staying here. There was a bad odour in the hallway - almost like something was cooking. My biggest complaint was the level of noise during the night. I think even Mexico at Spring Break is quieter than what we had to endure last night. We were woken to banging, things being dragged around, heavy footsteps and very loud talking above our room for HOURS beginning at 1:30 am. At 4 am I was finally so exhausted I fell asleep. I called Front Desk to complain at 2:30 but it made no difference. So much for being rested for competition. At a hotel full of families one would hope unreasonable noise could be dealt with. Pros: I can’t write all negative for this hotel - the lady who helped me at check in was very helpful and offered excellent customer service - this hotel is lucky to have her working here! Also having an indoor pool is a benefit to a team full of teens.

We had a good experience over all. We were disappointed in the free breakfast. This hotel falls short of other Days Inn we have stayed at. There was no waffles, pancakes or hot food of any kind. There was no protein to be found. We eat at the restaurant and paid more.

stay was very good great value for $$ the entry to site is a challenge cant help the industrial odour surrounding old Nanaimo

This hotel is in a good location for the places that I needed to visit. The hotel is very clean and the staff are super friendly and more than happy to help in anyway they can. The hotel is beginning to look a bit tired and I think will soon need some renovations.

The place is clean... but dated. I did have an issue with only one entrance to my room, from the back side of the hotel. They need another pass card entrance. The pool needs an upgrade too. Nice enough if travelling with a dog... not sure if I would stay with family.

This is an older hotel on the outskirts of Nanaimo. There is an on-site restaurant but no other services within walking distance. On my morning of check out I discovered multiple silver fish bugs in the room. I identified this at checkout but the clerk’s only response was “yes we’re aware, it’s an old hotel” No apologies and no offers for any form of compensation for my negative experience. I will not be back and will not recommend this hotel to my friends, family or colleagues.

Inbound from Ottawa to visit some friends. Needed a clean room with king sized bed close to the airport after a long day of traveling and a midnight arrival. And then another night on the way out - (six a.m. departure). Days Inn fit the bill for us on those two nights. Nice easy check in - great room & indoor pool & hot tub - sofa, tv, fridge, coffee maker, and free wifi and continental breakfast! Water view was a nice bonus - as was the restaurant attached to the hotel. HOWEVER, if you are planning on staying there for your whole visit, want to go out for walks, visit tourist attractions, I would suggest you book something a little closer to central Nanaimo - and forego the indoor pool. *I was told it's the only hotel in Nanaimo with an indoor pool* - is that even possible?

Have stayed here twice just to overnight before early flights. Both stays have been good. Rooms are decent and staff are friendly. Prices are great and its one of the closer hotels to the airport. Would recommend and stay again.

Went for a hockey tournament. The location was in good proximity to the arena but the area was kind of dodgy. Only place with a pool so that is why we picked it. Next time I think I’d look for a better hotel and take the kids to the aquatic centre instead.
