I was just at the Hilton Nagoya for a work trip and I really liked it. I found the service to be amazing and I loved the chic traditional Japanese decor in my room as I was expecting the room to look like every other Hilton in the U.S. We were upgraded to the Executive floor and gained access to the Executive lounge but only had time to enjoy the breakfast there. I must say the food was great! Very healthy, lite and fresh. Nespresso coffee makers in each room was a nice touch too! My room had an awesome view too! I also visited the gym/pool while there. The pool is a little short but served its function. The gym had an interesting layout but a decent amount of options. The lobby is a little dated though. They could work on updating that and making it more comfortable for casual work meetings. I definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay there again if all goes well!
although it doesn't locate above the station, it still does satisfy me. the food, the service, the room..everything just beyond my expectation. i can't be too fussy....but highly recommend this hotel.
Outstanding hospitality with overly friendly and helpful staff: at check-in,concierge, Sweets shop. Staff at Club Lounge sometimes so much focussing on single guests that others had to wait für Service. Rooms good,location convenient.
I don’t usually write reviews for big chain hotels because they are generally impersonal with no character. Nagoya was a stop for us to get to Takayama, so I picked the Hilton for its location mainly. Th airport bus stops and picks us up directly at the hotel. So getting to and fro the airport is convenient. They hotel has a shuttle that brings us to Nagoya Station and Nagoya Castle, so that it was convenient for us as well. The hotel is situated near plenty of cafes and restaurants, so plenty of choices for food. The thing that makes the Hilton stand out for me is the staff. They are really friendly and warm. The shuttle bus driver that took us to Nagoya Station for us to catch our train, gave us heat packs that belonged to him because he was concerned that it was going to be considerably colder in Takayama. We did not expect that and we felt the warmth. The room is bigger for Japan’s standard. Gym and pool was well equipped.
My first problem started when I was trying to book a room at Hiltons home page. Since some benefits like free WiFi required Honours membership, I tried that but I did not remember my PW. In order to get a new PW it was not enough with just my email adress but it also required Honours ID number! Do people remember this kind of numbers? Providing Free WiFi to all guests is standard in most hotels even the low cost hotels, why does not an expensive Hotel like Hilton provide this free of charge for all guests? The bathrooms were still a little bit like in the 1980´s. For example the flow of hot water depended very much of the time of the day. In the evening the flow was slow but in the morning it was better. In the restaurant on the second floor, we had to ask the waitress several times to fill up our glas of wine and water. Not very observant. I had to show my credit card three times, at booking, at checking and at check out?? It seems like there are several small things to improve, just smiling is not enough.
The only reason this property got 4 stars instead of 5, is because it badly needs some upgrades. The staff including Guest experience manager FUMIE MURASE are truly amazing, very friendly and helpful. Due to our Diamond status we got upgraded and the room was clean and functional. The executive lounge really needs upgrading. Great wifi The location is very close to the subway station making all the tourist places very accessible. Read the van schedule to the station very carefully as they skip some hours during the day. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed here for four nights total split up between 3 occasions. First time was for 2 nights and unfortunately if based on that, I wouldn't stay here again. I was "lucky" to have very noisy neighbours and got woken up at 1.30am with them talking in the corridor. Thought it was only a once off but the next night got woken up again with people banging their suitcase on the walls and doors. Understand this is outside of the hotel's control but I think the sound insulation of the rooms can be better. However, for my next two stays, they really redeemed themselves. Reia and Yumi from the executive lounge were amazing and made everything perfect on both occasions. They went above and beyond and it's this service that makes me want to stay here again. Hoping the next time I stay, I can see Reia and Yumi again and thank them personally. It's about a 15 minute walk from JR Nagoya station surrounded by plenty of restaurants if you want something local and a convenience store right downstairs.
Nagoya isn’t the kind of place that attracts tourists. But it certainly gets lots of business visitors. This hotel is a good fit. The rooms are clean and comfortable though small. Nice shower. Very good work out facility with plenty of machines and weights. The Executive Lounge puts on an excellent breakfast. No knock on it really. Decent place to stay, especially on the higher floors which are fairly quiet.
This is the first time visitingJapan and I was impressed with everything. It is an experience that has to be lived at least once in a lifetime. Hilton Hotel is a very clean, with spacious rooms and excellent customer service. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Located close to train station (15 min walking) , even closer to Fushimy subway station (5 min walk) and a lot of restaurants, makes this hotel the perfect choice to stay.
I stayed 3 nights this time and I have to say, the Hilton in Nagoya is as perfect as everytime, that I was here. Spacious rooms, which is not standard in Japan, everything in perfect condition. Great gym and yummie breakfast. The staff is always attentive and tops the high level of friendliness, that is normal in Japan by far. Everybody, that I talked to spoke good english!!! I am looking forward to returning to this hotel soon
