Rooms are adequate and beds are good, air condition works well. The bathrooms are small - like a cruise ship. Staff is polite and helpful. The lobby isn't too nice - could do with some sprucing up. No bell man or personnel to help with bags. The front desk has to call a taxi for you - you won't find them outside the hotel. Location isn't in the most glamorous part of town. The station area is more modern. If you exit the hotel and turn left you can walk to a shopping center - restaurants that are quite inexpensive by Japanese standards. One fault - they give one bottle of water per room for a priority club member upon check in. How much is a bottle of water anyway? Why not just have one for each guest in the room? The Marriott has a better location and rooms but is more expensive.

This is a great place to stay! The rooms are large for Japan and the staff are all extremely friendly. The baths are typical Japanese ones that are nice and deep! Shower first and then fill the bath using their bath powder and sit back and relax! If you want to listen to CNN or BBC while in the bath, turn on the TV and the speaker is in the bathroom! I didn't have the breakfast for an additional ¥2,600, but it does look good! If you want to have a great view of Nagoya at night, go to the bar on the top floor. Your first drinks are half price if you are staying at the hotel. Have one of the Japanese whiskeys, as they are winning awards around the world, and the round ice cube is great! Be prepared for smoking up there though. The beds are comfortable and you can also borrow phone charging cords from the front desk. We payed ¥25,000 for the night, which is not bad for Japan, and it was a non-smoking room. If you are going to travel around Nagoya after checking out, there is also a place to leave your luggage at no additional cost. All in all, this is a great place!

Staying here for one night, thank you Masae san for providing me special rate! This hotel is placed just at the exit of Kanayama station which give you access to anywhere in Nagoya using JR Line or Subway: short stop to JR Nagoya station, Sakae, Nagoya Port Public Aquarium and of course express train to Chubu International Airport. if you don't really like crowded place like Nagoya Station or Sakae then this hotel will suite you. Don't worry because some convenience store and Starbuck are surrounding the hotel, many local restaurant and 1.5km walk to Aeon Mall. Very surprised with the spacious room, large bed and lot of in room amenities. Don't have time to try the hotel restaurant. The Front can also order you special food, i got this information when i have dinner in Bulan Bali Restaurant (Indonesian Halal food) near Sakae. the owner said you can ask the front to order Halal food and usually they will call us to deliver. Nice room view (i uploaded a photo) No wonder this hotel are one of Top 5 hotel in Nagoya!

My family and I stayed at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya. It's about a five minute walk from Kanayama station, which is Nagoya's second major center. There i a lot of great places to eat within walking distance. The hotel staff and accommodations were great and although a bit pricy, breakfast was outstanding. It satisfied my entire family's pallet. The room was comfortable for hotels in Japan. The room had all necessities along with a view of Nagoya. We couldn't ask for any more. I will certainly stay at this hotel the next visit to Nagoya.

If you must stay in the center of Nagoya, JR Nagoya station and its surrounding, then you will not like this location. However, it's only a short stop away by JR train if you don't mind the travel (in Kanayama). The hotel's is located right next to Kanayama station and it's such a breeze to travel from and back to Chubu airport (when compared with other larger cities in Japan). There's a couple of Starbucks around the hotel, and many restaurants aroudn the vicinity as well. AEON supermarket is about 10 mins walk away from the hotel, passing the railway station. Lots of stores around the area too, so one don't really need to go into the city if you just wanted a feel of Japan while staying there. There's also a convenience store opposite the hotel. The room is very well appointed and spacious (in Japanese standards). In fact, I think this hotel has the largest room compared to all my travels in Japan :), and yet not at top end prices. Housekeeping does a great job in daily service and all of the staff were very pleasant throughout my encounter. Breakfast was also very good, with an array of variety to suit local and western travelers. I will definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Nagoya. There's also a comtemporary museum located right next to the hotel, missed that this time.

The hotel is right outside of the Kanayama station. We travelled from Nagoya airport to here with no trouble. Fare was roughly 800Yens. Around 50 minutes of train ride. The hotel was bigger than I thought. ( As Japan's room s were usually small and tiny) Its right on the ground floor which also housed the museum of Fine Arts. Very convenient location. We were assigned to 25th floor which gave us a great view of the city. The beds were comfortable , amenities were sufficient. We were given 2 bottles of water each day which we used to make tea. Even later we found out from Nagoya locals that Kanayama location had the best food and prices as compared to Nagoya. Very quiet area and not as crazy as Nagoya but easily get on trains and subways.

Upon crossing the door to enter the hotel, one of the staff members approached us to ask if we were check in, and if we wanted to leave our luggage there (it was around 9.30 in the morning). That was only a sample of the cordiality the staff had. As a platinum member, they emphatically thanked us, and even gave us a free upgrade. After giving us the keys to our room, at least six members of the staff kindly showed us the way to the elevator while greeting us and give their thanks for staying with them. Some might consider it a bit overkill, but to me, it was a simple gesture that made you feel welcomed. On to location: The hotel is to the right from the south exit of the Kanayama Station (I think that’s two stops from central Nagoya station). The area is peaceful enough (more so when compared to Nagoya’s main station), but there are many restaurants around – from Italian and Mc Donald’s to typical Japanese food. The museum of fine arts (if memory serves me right) is also there. It is also possible to walk from the hotel to Atsuta Shrine (there are several smaller shrines on the way), but it might be a bit too far for some (30’). The view from the room, while not outstanding, was nice, especially at night, with the lights from different buildings giving the place its spark. The bathroom was huge, and it had 3 clearly distinct sections. The main one had the sink and the bathtub (along the shower), one with the toilet and the third with another shower. The room in itself was also spacious enough to walk around a bit, and also well equipped. It had a table and two chairs by the window and lots of sockets to connect all your devices (can’t remember if there were any usb ones). When all is said and done, I would definitely come back to this hotel (if only to be greeted like last time).

This was a trip to Nagoya for a trade show with several members of my staff. One staff had for Family reasons postpone his arrival and arrived a day late. Beeing busy all day and having a congress dinner and dinner with customers we arrived late at the Hotel. Just to find out that the room which was paid in advance was given to another guest. After long arguing they finally gave us an upgrade room with an extra fee. Only after talking with they returned the money (thanks

ANA Crowne Plaza is a decent hotel close to the train station of Nagoya. The rooms are quite big and comfortable. The bathroom is big enough and the amenities offered are more than sufficient. Would definetely visit it again.

3 night stay Hotel: Served its purpose well. A decent very functional but rather bland modern hotel. Probably time for a refurb / update. For tourists, Kanayama is a less convenient location than staying near the main Nagoya train station. Reasonable service. An OK old fashioned bar on the top floor with good views. Room: Reasonable size room, compact but sufficient. All seemed rather dated, with old fashioned décor. Very clean and comfortable. Very quiet. Slept very well. Decent reasonably modern compact bathroom. Reasonable hanging / drawer clothes, and bag storage space. We had quite a lot of stuff for a 3-4wk trip.
