We stay in Castle plaza hotel for 1 night. This Old hotel but still clean. Near underground shopping centre (just walking infront the hotel). Room need some renovation (too old) but still clean, batroom small. Breakfast standard Free wifi
reasonable hotel. conveniently located accessible by Unimall, underground shopping mall from Nagoya station of JR, Meitetsu. Kintetsu and Subway lines. I didn't get wet though arriving on a rainy day. Plenty of restaurants and shops around,
We booked a room for three of us, and we're excited when we knew the room was much bigger than the one we stayed in Shinjuku. They provide tea, coffee, and sufficient amount of amenities. The bed is comfortable and the air con worked well. They served Japanese and western style of breakfast. The highlight of all is its location which was only five minutes walking from Nagoya main station.
This hotel was booked for us and we were quite disappointed. The lobby is nice but as soon as you step in the elevator there is a musty smell. First we got rooms on the smoking floor which was unbearable if you are a non smoker. Later on we got rooms on a higher floor but the combination of cigarettes kept on haunting us. The bathroom is tiny. I am sure there are plenty of other places to stay in Nagoya for this price.
First thing first like 4 star hotel it's expensive but it is in a great location. Few minutes till train station, half-hour till castle, science museum. Beds are quite soft (but I had nightmares and thoughts so I didn't sleep very well). Breakfast... We went to Rose Garden one. It had European breakfast with few Japanese accents but the other one is full Japanese breakfast. Reception is friendly and they speak good or mid-level English...
I am almost 2 meters tall and I felt like living in a doll's house. Well, we are in Japan. The room is perfectly located close to the railway station, is clean and offers everything you need for one or two nights on a business trip. In case you do not speak any Japanese, it can be challenging. Staff is very friendly. breakfast international and noting is bothersome. I will go there again during my next stay in Nagoya. When travelling back to the airport, don't forget to bring cash, otherwise you are not able to purchase tickets at the train station and taxi is less convenient and 10 times the price.
The single room is so small that I felt that I was back in university dom again. The window cannot be opened and the aircon is only for heating. The temperature was set at 26 degrees. It was stuffy and uncomfortable. It was practically an old hotel , which I had no choice but to stay for 4 nights as it was booked by our organizer. After my function, I moved to another hotel on the other side of Nagoya station. It was a luxury compared to this even though it was cheaper in price. I had the Japanese breakfast for 3/4 mornings. The menu didn't change at all. On the third morning , I lost my appetite.
Stayed for 1 night . Room seems dated 20 years ago and there is a lack of power point for devices . The hotel reception is friendly . Except for location which is a door away from entry into unimall ( a subway link ) that connects you to all of shopping mall , the hotel is just ok . Breakfast is just simple but I'm surprised that they are using a home toaster and guest have to queue up to toast bread . Nothing fanciful. Do note that like all Japanese hotel , u need to climb a step up to a toilet cubicle amd this mot wheelchair friendly. Probably good to consult with the hotel
Great location, walking distance of the train station which has a very impressive range and selection of eating places. Breakfast was a little unusual with two lines, one for western breakfast and the other for Japanese style breakfast. We were told that our voucher was for western b/fast but a quick trip to reception meant we could get the Japanese b/fast we wanted. The restaurant at b/fast was very noisy. Closer inspection of this showed that it was the staff making the noise trying to organise guests to sit here or there. As there was plenty of room such organisation was not really necessary.
We had to stop over for a night in Nagoya for chose Hotel Castle due to the offer and close proximity to train station. There is a underground walkway that leads from station to hotel. However, the exit (you need to climb up the stairs) and there is like 10m uncovered from exit to hotel. I was pulling 2 huge luggage under some rains, so it was not perfect. Rooms are also dated and in need of renovation. There are some hints of smoke smell even though it is non smoking. Location is perfect with food nearby. For the price we paid, I can't really complain. Staff speak good English and overall a satisfactory stay.
