I recently had the unique pleasure of staying in what I can only assume was formerly used as a cigarette marinating facility. From the moment I opened the door, I was hit with a smell so powerful I briefly checked to see if I had accidentally walked into a 1987 bowling alley.The listing didn’t mention “smoker-friendly,” but based on the aroma, I’m fairly certain the walls themselves have a nicotine dependency. My clothes now smell like I’ve been chain-smoking for 12 years, and I don’t even smoke.I reached out about the issue, hoping for some understanding—or at least a refund—but apparently the scent of 10,000 cigarettes is considered part of the “charm.” Who knew?If you enjoy the nostalgic experience of breathing through a Marlboro Light, this is the place for you. If not, I’d recommend bringing a gas mask… or booking literally anywhere else.2/10 — one point for having a door I could open to escape.
