Very clean and well maintained. Every room has a balcony facing the ocean. The beach is across the street and through a parking lot. A block and a half in the opposite direction is a Dollar General which has everything you might want or might have forgot. The rooms have a 4 burner atove, oven, microwave and full size refrigerator so you can cook for yourself to save some cash.

Everything I could want for a beach trip.

I took my 12 year old on a late vacation to North Myrtle. We spent most of our days swimming at the beach. I decided to add a day last minute to be able to take him to the boardwalk and Family Kingdom. I wanted somewhere clean, and preferably within walking distance to both spots. The Darlington Inn popped up within my searches, and seemed to be what I was looking for. After staying there, I’m so glad I found it! The owner was so kind and accommodating. I stopped in before check-in, just to ask if we could park there while we walked to the boardwalk. Then I’d come back at 4 to check-in. Since they had available rooms, and ours was already cleaned, she offered for us to check-in early. They are pet-friendly, and we met their dog as well as another visitor’s pup while getting our stuff to our room. Our room was pretty, and had a calm, beach vibe to it. The room was so much cleaner than the resort we stayed at in NMB! It had everything I could want when staying at the beach. The balcony faces the ocean, and the pool. Once situated in our room, we crossed the street to the promenade access. We were able to walk the few blocks to the Family Kingdom Saturday night. We got a good night’s sleep that night, and a nice shower before heading home yesterday morning. I wish we could have stayed longer, and been able to take a swim in the pool. Next time we go to the beach I would definitely stay here, and recommend it to anyone else.

I would recommend this inn to anyone. The room was very clean. The location is close to the ocean and the pier. The owners treated us very well. We will be back to stay anytime we are in town.

This was as advertised, one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed at. It was not new. It was not fancy. It was serviceable. It’s in a great location with great beach views.

Perfect family owned facility. They make you feel right at home. From advice of where to eat, pool and beach towels, beach chairs and even sand buckets I saw for the kids to use which makes traveling a breeze. Boardwalk and beach access is a hop skip and jump across the street. No crazy elevator wait times or crowds in your way at The Darlington. This is our forever weekend getaway place. Thanks Darlington Crew! 10 Stars if I could. See you next summer!

This property is very close to the beach, and no other buildings block the view of the ocean from this inn, you can even see it while enjoying the pool. The owners are very diligent in keeping the place clean and welcoming. There's a lovely path that leads to the pool full of beautiful flowers. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. If you don't mind walking, there are plenty of restaurants and shops. It's less than a mile from the strip and easy to walk there along the beach. This will be our preferred place to stay in Myrtle Beach.

I love staying here bc my husband walks across the street to fish at the pier every day until noon, then we spend the afternoons together. The location is convenient and it’s a family run place so everyone is warm and friendly.

Awesome place to stay for a first visit to Myrtle Beach. The property is family owned - so definitely a lot of personal touches- appreciated the dining and activity suggestions. We had an early arrival flight and a late departure flight so they were able to hold our luggage each time and got us into our room as soon as possible. Perfect location at the end of the boardwalk so immediate area was quiet but an easy walk to all attractions. We will definitely stay there again.

Upon arrival we noticed how well keep the Darlington Inn was. Place is family owned and operated which makes it feel more like home. When greeted by the staff was friendly, kind, accommodating there for what ever you may need all the way down to beach chairs and beach towels. Location was perfect with number of 2-3 bedroom cottages along with the Inn being right on Ocean Blvd and from the balcony you can see the ocean. My family really did enjoy the stay and will make this our stay place every time we visit. Just want to thank the staff who worked from open to close making sure the pool area stayed washed down and the pool clean. Location is literally 5 min walking distance from the Family Kingdom amusement park. Please if you choose to visit Myrtle Beach check this location out. You will not be disappointed at all. My room came with all the amenities you may need from full size fridge, stove, dishes to cook with and a microwave. Air conditioner stayed cool though it was in the high upper 100 degrees the room was fresh, cool and comfortable. We took our E bikes and was able to keep them chained up outside and no one bothered the and by the way we were there for 4 nights. Pulled in Thur- Monday. Please check them out a great place.
