Porto Mykonos Hotel

Overall, this hotel is five minutes walking to the center where all the shops and restaurants are. The view from the room is excellent. My balcony was facing the big parking lot for the ferries, but even with that, the view is breathtaking because you can see the old port from there and took very good pictures of the sunset. The service excellent. The room is minimalistic with modern furniture. The bathrooms are very old, it needs an urgent update. They are very very small but I can handle that. It can be five stars with updated bathrooms.

My boyfriend and I had a room booked for two nights: October 12 and October 13. Upon arrival, we were offered a one-night upgrade to Boheme, which is an upscale hotel owned by the same people. I'm glad we jumped on the upgrade because it was the highlight for us. Check out the review for Boheme- it was is really nice! The stipulation for the upgrade is that we would come back to Porto Mykonos for the next night and do two separate reviews for each hotels. We should have splurged to stay at Boheme. Our stay at Porto Mykonos was disappointing. Upon checking in, I always pull back the bed linens and check the mattresses. To say the least, the mattress was badly stained. I called down to the front desk and asked for a room change. They said all the mattress are like that. They were nice enough to show us a different room. That mattress had a blood stain. When I called the attendant out on it, I was assured that it "definitely was not blood", but when pressed, she couldn't tell me what it was. It was blood. No doubt. At this point, we were tired and just wanted to settle in. I put towels on top of the stain and tried to get some sleep. It wasn't very restful. The location of the hotel is ok. It's close enough to walk for the main city centre. There are great restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast buffet was ok. We've had better, and we've had worse. We would not go back. This is deemed a 4-star hotel, but its far from what you would you expect of a 4-star hotel. Boheme, however, exceeded expectations. Stay at Boheme, you won't be disappointed.

The view from the hotel and it's rooms are lovely. The room we stayed in was large but a bit dated. Very few electrical outlets available to use and the bathroom fan was noisy. The breakfast buffet was adequate and the staff were friendly.

Porto Mykonos Hotel is in a great spot and only 10 minute walk into town. The views from our room were amazing and it was very relaxing sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset before heading out for the night

Stayed here two nights end Sept. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcomed us with breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom was little small. We had a room with amazing views - wow! The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it is about a 10 minute walk down the hill and along the shoreline into Mykonos Town and Little Venice and the Windmills. The staff were helpful in telling us places to visit and eat. Breakfast was amazing - Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very impressive. Beautiful view of the waters from atop. About 20 mins walk to the town. And you just have to walk uphill back to hotel. Taxis are readily accessible from town in case you cannot make it up. Had a great night's sleep. Just request for more pillows and toiletries. Fitness center needs more work. Equipments don't work. Overall, I would recomment this hotel.

Stayed here two nights end Sept as part of a Gate 1 trip. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcomed us with a refreshing juice. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, though the bathroom was little small, like most bathrooms in Europe. We had a room with amazing views - wow! The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it is about a 10 minute walk down the hill and along the shoreline into Mykonos Town and Little Venice and the Windmills. The staff were helpful in telling us places to visit and eat, especially Kelly and Rula. Breakfast was adequate - could use a little more variety. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We came to this hotel on our honeymoon and they exceeded every expectation. When we got in they upgraded our room and brought us a bottle of wine to help us celebrate. Everyone was so nice! The hotel is super close to Mykonos Town and the port which is very convenient when you don't have a car. On our last day, they had one of their drivers drop us off and the port. 15 minutes before our boat was to arrive, we realized we left our passports in the hotel safe. We called the hotel and they had someone bring our passports to us within 5 minutes. Needless to say we were beyond impressed and extremely thankful!

Porto Mykonos was an awesome hotel, in a great location, and service was excellent. LOTS of steps, but they were so helpful with bags! Conveniently located within walking distance to Mykonos Town, the old port, shops, bars, and restaurants. Free breakfast was a perk. Beautiful views from the hotel too!

First the good things: The views are very nice from the hotel. A lot of reviewers seem to have trouble with the car park. This is easily overlooked. The location of the hotel is its main advantage. Downtown is easily accessible with no more than a 10 minute walk. The rooms are very private. Now for the needed improvements: First, the beds are terrible. The are extremely low and very hard and uncomfortable. More pillows would help too. Second, the water was labeled undrinkable and all water had to be purchased. Very unhandy. Third, the bathrooms are extremely small and need upgrading. Fourth, the staff could use a hospitality course. They are not rude, just not accommodating or friendly. Overall, I would give this hotel *** maximum.
