We both wish we could have had longer. We had a room that was quite large and beautifully appointed. Huge king bed stand alone bath. Private pool at the rear balcony that over looks the harbour, beach and restaurants. Very comfortable. Great hospitality and welcoming. The water st the beach was quite cold while we were here but our pool was fine. Fabulous restaurants are a short stroll along the beach. Superb breakfast included. I can’t rate the staff highly enough they go out of their way to help.
We absolutely loved Mykonos and this hotel. Unfortunately we were only here for 2 nights and but now know we would have preferred to book 5 nights. It's perfect for anyone who wants to chill at the beach. The hotel is gorgeous and extremely clean. It is I believe only a couple years old and very reasonably priced. It was an easy cab ride to the town where there are many shops and restaurants . You can walk to the convenience store a couple minutes away for water and snacks or you can enjoy and excellent meal also on the beach front at Yalo Yalo. There are many hotel beach front hotel restaurants and bars. Scorpios is one of the most popular ones and is within walking distance too. Staff was extremely helpful and there was always someone available for assistance .We visited Athens, Santorini and Crete and this was in our top 2 favorite hotels on our trip.
Close to the airport and quick taxi ride. Arrived and service is amazing. Everyone is friendly. I usually stay with SPG but decided to try this place. Absolutely stunning. Have private pools and my room walked right out to the pool. Can also use the beach below. Loved the location was off on the side, away from the super packed areas. Many restaurants to choose from, there is a small gift shop and basic grocery store down the beach. The hotel was very clean and I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful people there are. There’s a small gym, breakfast was included. Taxis are easy but can be limited to go to downtown area of Mykonos. Walk to the other end of the beach and there’s a bus that commutes back and forth for a few euros. Crowded but doable.
My wife and I stayed at the Thalassa Boutique Hotel for our honeymoon as part of our Athens-Mykonos-Santorini trip. One of the highlights of our trip was the experience we had at the Thalassa. The hotel itself is very attractive and sits right on the beach. Platis Gialos is a quieter beach from what I am told so if you are looking for a party beach you have to book something near Paradise or Super Paradise. Also most hotels are not right no the beach and require either walking or other transportation to the beach. The nice part of Thalassa is that it is right on the beach and there are complimentary sun beds for guests (other folks have to pay up to 20 euro a bed). Our room was an ocean view room and it was spacious, very nice, very clean. We also had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table which is nice for the morning time to sit outside or at night time sipping on some wine or beer and watching the waves. The hotel pool is clean and above beach level so is nice to people watch while you soak up the sun. Eleni and the team we what made our stay just amazing. On request Eleni booked us great restaurants in Mykonos town, taxis to and from town, transfers to the port for when we left and a day ATV rental which was awesome. The staff is so enthusiastic to help and are always smiling making you feel like a true guest. We were so delighted by the way we were treated. The best story I have to share is a few days after our stay. My wife found out she was missing her engagement ring while we were on Santorini. In a panic she thought someone at the hotel we stayed at in Santorini had stolen it. The hotel in Santorini phoned Thalassa and Eleni spoke to my wife and told her that she had found the ring! Now this could have been easily something a staff member at Thalassa could have kept and being a very expensive piece of jewelry none would have been the wiser. We are so grateful for Eleni and the staff for literally SAVING our honeymoon! Eleni put the ring on the next boat out to Santorini and we went to pick it up at the port. I cannot say how thankful I am for the staff at Thalassa. These folks are truly made from the best stuff on earth and we recommend EVERYONE to stay here. When we make out way back to Mykonos we will be staying at Thalassa again.
We could not have been happier to spend a week in this hotel it is absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, we had booked a junior suite with sea views which is one floor up from the pool area. The beds were to die for and the shower was incredible. The whole feel of the hotel is cool and stylish. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of Platis Gialos beach, but everything is reachable in a 5 min walk. Being at the end of the beach gave a sense of calm and more space. The (FREE) beach loungers were great, the rooftop pool amazing and everyone at the hotel from reception, bell boys, cleaners, restaurant staff tobeach boys could not have been friendlier or more helpful! The restaurant was wonderful, breakfast was a delight no awful buffett in sight only freshly made dishes which you ordered. The menu was also wonderful, the freshly made sushi to die for and a fabulous selection of fresh food for anyone who isn't a sushi lover. Kostas you were a star, from dawn til dusk you were there to meet our every need and always a friendly face. The resort itself is 10-15mins from Mykonos town if you want to venture out but equally you have a wonderful selection of restaurants on your doorstep. I honestly cannot find anything bad to say about this hotel it is absolutely first rate and would happily have stayed here for a month.
It was the best hotel we stayed in so far. Excellent location, clean rooms, pool, beach. Staff was very friendly and attentive (from cleaners to managers) Breakfast is amazing, with so many vegetarian choices. High five to Nikos, who always gave us the service we never experienced on any beach. Well done guys!
I was so happy with both the hotel and it’s location right on Platis Gialos beach. The hotel is newer (One of the reasons I booked here) and modern with plenty of room: side tables, couch, etc. We had a gorgeous oceanfront room on the top floor which was totally worth the price. Air conditioner Worked really well which is a rarity in Europe, even at the nicest hotels. We had a slight housekeeping issue with our room upon check in which was corrected almost immediately (although the front desk should have been more apologetic about it) the room was perfectly clean and very well-maintained the rest of our time. Housekeeping did a great job and also brought us extra towels every night. Location/Platis Gialos The beach is the nicest in Mykonos: chill during the day with good music. Several restaurant choices and a mini market vs. any other beaches. The bus stop is right there to town. If you want to party go next-beach over to santa Anna or Scorpios (Paraga Beach) or in the other direction to pretentious over priced Nammos (Psarou beach). Both beaches are walking distance away. There are a ton of hotels that have great views but aren’t on the beach and people have to track their stuff down to the beach every day. It was so nice to just walk outside and be on the beach immediately
Excellent hotel in a good location! Loved breakfast and the rooms are lovely! Beach is nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We’d recommend this to anyone traveling to Mykonos who wants to be on the beach. About 10 minutes to town by taxi, 15 by bus. Walking distance to other nice beaches, restaurants and clubs as well.
Many thanks to each and every staff member for our excellent stay. Beautiful hotel, staff and location. The pool was wonderful even though you are also on the best part of the beach. Breakfast was really good as was the restaurant attached. Thankyou
Hotel is super well located at the far end of Platy Gialos, which keeps in right in the action of the beach, but away from the densely packed part of beach. Its also a short walk to Pinky Beach, SantAnna and Scorpios. The views are spectacular. I got upgraded one day to a suite with a pool, and it was absolutely stunning. My regular room was more traditional but no less attractive and very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a nice little gym, beautiful pool and deck, steam room and nice restrooms/showers if you arrive early or leave late. Breakfast was made to order, and fantastic everyday. Tons of choices. The Beach and free Chairs are a huge plus, and the staff is very attentive. Really everything was top notch and the hotel feels very modern, new and fresh.
