manager gave as a one-day trip plan with 5 things to do and it was a great trip. taxi was expensive but its ok worth a visit. my family and I had a special welcome with fruit platter in our room. staffs are fantastic and this ibis had room service it was helpful for me to heat up my baby food etc.., I had my dinner in the as we were tired to go out there was a buffet was there with many varieties Arabic and Indian mixed with some seafood. under 6 was eating for free and the staffs were welcoming.
I want to ibis restaurant almost on daily basis for lunch and using the internet to do some research. The service is good and i get a good hospitality from sunil, indra and all staff. Thank you for Ibis Muscat Hotel and I recommend for business men who is looking to stay in the middle of the downtown and feel comfortable.
The parking for car was very tiny. Very bad breakfast. The rooms are small but comfortable. The wifi was fine only at the ground floor and very slow in the room. I think it isn't fine for vacation.....
Room was Very neatly maintained not so big or small , it giving the satisfaction at the end of the day and it situated in the perfect locality that you can get all your needs in nearby place. overall its a good on to Go with , specially mentioning the service of Mohammad & Francis through out my stay was very good they extended their support for my issues and they rectified it in less time
As espected, clean, good food, well communicated (by car), with several big malls near by. Restaurant open 24 hours, taxi service permanently. Staff friendly and efficient, specially Mohammed Lonati, very helpful.
I'm coming here for long time and always staying in same hotel, nice stuff, good food....Awal it's very helpful and accommodating, breakfast very good, the buffet that they serve one of the best,u have a large variety of food..... Always the stuff smiling and taking care of your needs
I came to visit my family in Muscat and its nice place to stay around with restaurants and malls as well as near city centre. the staffs are very helpful always welcoming but the rooms are smaller for us but for short stay its very good or for short business trip. the food was nice and room service was quick. i'll come back in September and will stay here as they have good deals online. but the wifi had trouble the operation manager was attentive and explain to me about the wifi and he said they are working on it hope fully by September. this hotel has little gym which is ok for me.
The hotel is available at a prime location as it is near the two big malls. Avenues Mall and Muscat Grand Mall. It's a nice and clean place to stay. I would like it if the bathroom had toiletries, I stayed at two nearby hotels and they provided free toiletries. The rooms are average sized, not too big nor too small. The staff is friendly. I won't stay here again as i got better deals and services in the same price around the same locality. If you are looking for free wifi, you'd have to go down the lobby which was a big disappointment. I had no wifi on the 5th floor room.
Before I begin this review, I'd like to thank all of the lobby and dining area staff for going the extra mile to make my stay very comfortable. Ibis hotels are often my go-to for affordable accommodation but I've never quite met Ibis employees as friendly and helpful as those of the Muscat branch. You guys rock! With that out of the way, there are some things to consider before booking. The location is quite a steeply priced taxi ride from the older city area where most of my favorite places to visit were located (I.e mutrah souk, qurum beach, the giant incense burner) which makes me guess this hotel is more favorable for business. However, the neighbourhood in which the hotel is located boasts a wide variety of cheap and cheerful restaurants and also the Muscat bakery which serves all sorts of local confectionary. There's also a few fast food restaurants nearby if you're not feeling particularly adventurous. The beach and the local mosque are worth a visit and are a fairly short but very sweaty walk away, and the area is very safe which is always a plus. There's also a bowling alley opposite which is heaps of fun! The room itself was spacious for a low price, I had plenty of room to pray without banging my head on any furniture... The shower room is also very spacious, and you will be equipped with a safe should you need one. 10/10 for cleanliness as well! The only thing I found a little disappointing about my stay was the food. I tried the burger which was delicious, but the breakfast and a mezze platter I had though palatable was a little sad and definitely didn't get my appetite in the mood for what Muscat has to offer. The no thrills food wouldn't have mattered so much if it wasn't for the fact that each dish costs the equivalent of nearly £10 each. There were also occasional hiccups with the wifi in my room, which was slightly annoying since I was uploading and downloading things for uni work. In short I had a pleasant no thrills stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel for business visits and short term holidays. I stayed here during a 3 day transit knowing nothing about the city but the lobby staff were always on hand to point me in a good direction, and exploring was easy due to the hotel's very safe location. Look forward to seeing you guys again!
We are currently camped at IBIS for 2 weeks. The best part about the hotel is going in to details for each and every guest. As we were looking for some conventional Indian breakfast items for breakfast....we were informed by friendly staff about south Indian dishes on the menu. very friendly service. highly appreciated. I would like to mention about Rajendra who provided with best service. Would surely come back again and recommend to other office colleagues....keep it up....all the best !!!
