Extremely good Hotel to stay. Staff are very kind and helpful. They kept safely my iPhone which I left in lounge. Excellent location and rooms are very comfortable. Pool was clean and environment was friendly. Foods were great.
We came for our anniversary. The hotel service was outstanding! Alex at the front desk was incredibly helpful. I told him it was our anniversary they decorated the room and send a special dessert. The room itself was spacious w/ a ceiling fan and a balcony view of the Gulf. Restaurants were "ok". The cigar store was closed the entire we were here. It still doesn't take away from my rating because the hotel staff consistently went above and beyond. We will come back, would recommend to a friend. It was a true 5star experience!
Grand Hyatt in Muscat is a real disappointment. I prefer Radission Blu in Muscat instead for a premium service. My overall experience was disastrous. Check In staff assigned me a room with a horrible view (See the attached picture) despite being a frequent traveler. Breakfast was extremely modest with a 3 star variety. Corridors lacked the charm of a premium property. Swimming pool filed with insects. Finally, the room amenities and interiors reflect a motel / hostel ambience. I wouldn't pay more than USD 100 per night for this property.
The exterior of the hotel is impressive and you are in the water. Staff are friendly enough and the level of service is above average however, the interior of the hotel is a bit tired. The rooms are spacious but the bed has worn springs with permanent dips. The carpet is a bit worn in spots and the bathroom needs updating. Not bad for a few night but not a luxury destination in Muscat.
Wonderful hotel with a beautiful pool area, nice clean rooms and luxurious feel. We had breakfast included, which was terrific with long opening hours. Lots of fresh fruit, pancake&waffle station and several healthy options. Staff absolutely lovely, very helpful, positiv and such good service Would definitely recommend
Just left my fifth stay here at the Grand. Unlikely times before I was left wanting a little more. The local staff (guest services, gym staff) were amazing, but the European and sub continent staff were lacking in customer service. On Arrival it was a very lack lustre welcome, they gave me the wrong room, when asking for another key the lady was very angry looking. Location is always a dream here. And would recommend it to the business traveller.
This place is swanky in a 1970's meets Art Deco way (wait til you see the massive stain glass windows), and has a slightly faded resort-style atmosphere. The cleanliness and service is really great, as you would expect from a five star hotel. All the staff were exceptionally professional, and the Business centre was efficient. The club lounge serves light meals all day. The food was good at the Barry Bar, and at the pool bar. Shishas are served from 5pm to 10pm (later on weekends, I think) at the pool bar. Food prices start at about OMR6 for a sandwich, chips and salad. I stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the car park. The room was very quiet. The hairdresser was competent but not brilliant. There is a kids pool and an adults pool with a lazy river and a swim-up bar serving drinks and light meals. The pool is directly behind the hotel. Prices start from about OMR100pn. The wifi access was excellent.
This was the perfect birthday gift for my partner. The ambiance was truly amazing including the service. We got a nice surprise birthday cake. Great all round staff. The view from our room was spectacular and the pool was so nice to relax. Loved the bar right inside the pool Great fun. Can't wait to visit again.
I enjoyed the hotel and its facilities. Staff were superb and understanding, actually they went the extra mile when I lost my suitcase - took my predicament very seriously and used CCTV to locate my bag! loved it. Overall it was a good experience and Im very much looking forward to returning to the hotel.
We picked the Grand Hyatt as it was close to the city but right on the beach. The other luxury hotels, the Al-Buston and Chedi are out of town. Excellent service and fabulous room overlooking the pool. The pool was lovely with a swim-up bar and great pool staff. The restaurants are all good if expensive (Oman is expensive !) but there are several local restaurants nearby worth a try. Special thanks to Abdulmajid, who looked after us beautifully.
