Historic town in Auvergne

The town of Murat was better than expected. Small cobblestones streets, old, charming houses. Many shops, cafes, restaurants. The nature around town is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers. Murat is also on the Circuit des Monts du Cantal The apartment was big enough for 4 people. Appliances are not recent but functional Overall clean but a coat of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt.

Dirty and smelt of gas-we left after one night!

Given the price we were expecting basic which I was fine with but I did not expect dirty. The floor, sofa and bedding was covered in hair. We also smelt gas intermittently so were concerned there was a leak. We felt very uncomfortable there due to it being grubby and feeling unsafe due to the gas smell. We left after just one night. When we swept up to clean the place we swept up so much dirt that was not of our making as we had tried to out of the property as much as possible! I felt really let down by the HomeAway website that they would host a property which was unfit to be rented out as either the owners do not care or are unaware - both of which beg serious questions.

Beautiful location, apartment needs work.

The building, town and surrounding countryside are fantastic. The apartment needs a deep cleaning and new paint. The bathroom needs work-a missing piece of a step right in front of the toilet is ugly and uncomfortable. The coffeemaker, hot pot and microwave were coated with grime and everything was just a little grubby. But the basic room is great, wonderful big windows. It could be a gem with some regular care and paint.

Points :Belle maison en extĂ©rieur (façade Ă©quilibrĂ©e, maison de notable). Accueil de la famille trĂšs apprĂ©ciĂ© et disponibilitĂ©. FraĂźcheur d'une maison en pierre. L'an dernier j'avais louĂ© des combles et c'Ă©tait le four donc j'ai vraiment apprĂ©ciĂ© la fraicheur et la vue.Points -Il n'a pas Ă©tĂ© pris en compte les avis nĂ©gatifs qui datent de trois ans. La douche est toujours bouchĂ©e !! L'eau sale remonte sur vos pieds propres. Le logement est dĂ©fraichi et le lino usagĂ© renvoit l'image d'un logement sale. Le lino est Ă  changer. Le mĂ©nage Ă  fond n'est pas fait : poussiĂšre sur le dessus d’armoire, sur le linteau de cuisine ou sont entreposĂ©s des bibelots, saletĂ© au dessus des prises. Un bien immobilier s'entretient et les revenus ne sont pas rĂ©investis dans cet entretien intĂ©rieur qui fait cruellement dĂ©faut. C'est vraiment dommage...C'est toutefois pas insurmontable pour des propriĂ©taires responsables et dĂ©sireux d'amĂ©liorer l'accueil du public..

Super logement !

Nous avons passĂ© 4 nuits en dĂ©cembre avec un ami dans ce logement et ce fut un super sĂ©jour. Le rapport qualitĂ©/prix est tout simplement imbattable !Le propriĂ©taire est trĂšs sympa et facilement joignable. MalgrĂ© une arrivĂ© trĂšs tardive, il n'y a pas eu de souci pour accĂ©der au logement.L'appartement est assez "vieillot" mais ce ne pas dĂ©rangeant du tout. Il est assez spacieux et il y avait assez de chauffage. C'est aussi pratique car on peut facilement se garer devant.Il se trouve dans la ville de Murat qui dispose de pas mal de commerces et de restaurants Ă  proximitĂ©.De plus, nous avons choisi ce logement car il est Ă  10-15min en voiture de la station de ski du Lioran.Si je devais mettre une critique, ce serait peut-ĂȘtre la propretĂ© de la cuisine qui serait un peu Ă  revoir.

quand nous arrivons sur cite empressions d'ĂȘtres dans un squatte des l'entrĂ©e , les photo ne correspondaient pas , salle de bain vĂ©tuste rester bloquĂ© dans les annĂ©es 60 avec douche qui ne s'Ă©coule pas et dĂ©borde sur le sol et chauffe eau a gaz que de mon . toilette casse au niveau du rĂ©servoir d'eau et fenĂȘtres vĂ©tustes avec carreaux cassĂ©s. Pas d'insonorisations entendons les voisins jour et nuit quoi qu'ils fassent.(pas dormi les deux nuits) Nous sommes restĂ©s que deux nuits aprĂšs avoir trouvĂ©s une autre location plus sĂ©rieuse. ( double location qui n'Ă©tait pas prĂ©vu dans mon budget) Je ne conseille a personnes de louer cette appartement qui et pourtant trĂšs bien placĂ© dans Murat ( 2 personnes au maxime pas 5) trĂšs déçu pour une premiĂšre expĂ©rience avec votre cite et espĂšre un geste commercial de votre part cordialement Mme GUILPAIN CATHY

C est une belle bĂątisse qui a du potentiel. Le propriĂ©taire ne sait pas la richesse qu il a avec ce bĂątiment. Le Monsieur qui nous accueille est trĂšs gentil il fait tout pour ĂȘtre de bons conseils il nous fait visiter l appartement mais malheureusement c est lui qui a les critiques. Le logement doit ĂȘtre revu . Si il ' y a pas les moyens financiers ce que je peux comprendre mais au moins arranger la salle de bain refaire la douche qui n est pas du luxe en premier. Un bon coup de peinture et changer ce qui est cassĂ© serait bien dans un premier temps. Revoir la literie qui n est pas du luxe non plus . C est un vieux bĂątiment qui n est pas insonorisĂ© alors il est vrai qu on se croirait en HLM. Nous ne sommes pas lĂ  pour mettre des coups de bĂątons mais pour faire comprendre au propriĂ©taire que si il fait dĂ©jĂ  quelques embellissements ce serait bien. La douche en premier et les matelas. Plus il en fera plus il louera plus longtemps. C est un magnifique village avec une superbe vue . La balle est dans son camp. La critique des gens d avant n ont pas Ă©tĂ© inventĂ©s.

Nous avons passe cinq nuits dans cet appartement qui en fait est une maison de 1800 divisĂ©e en plusieurs appartements. Les literies du petit lit et du BZ sont lamentables, l'appartement Ă©tait sale a notre arrivĂ©e, des clous rouillĂ©s pour tenir une planche a mĂȘme le sol dans la salle de bain, des joints de salle de bain vraiment moisis, le bas de la cabine de douche qui remonte sous nos pieds, une mauvaise Ă©vacuation de la douche, de l'eau chaude qui met longtemps a arriver et, qui une fois la devient froide avant de redevenir chaude le tout en pleine douche... Aucune isolation entre les diffĂ©rents appartements ce qui fait que nous entendons tout des autres et qui n'a pas dĂ» les aider Ă  dormir par rapport Ă  notre bĂ©bĂ© qui a pleurer la nuit. Les points positifs sont l'emplacement et surtout l'accueil du frĂšre de l'hĂŽte qui est vraiment un homme plein de conseils, gentil et comprĂ©hensif. Je dĂ©conseille fortement cet appartement pour un sĂ©jour avec des enfants en bas Ăąge.

PropriĂ©taire trĂšs agrĂ©able, au top. L’emplacement de l’appartement est bien, Ă  11kms du Liorant. NĂ©anmoins le logement est trĂšs bruyant ( manque d’isolation) entre les appartements et la literie Ă  revoir, matelas Ă  ressorts qui ont besoin d’ĂȘtre changĂ©s. L’appartement nĂ©cessite des travaux afin qu’il y sois plus agrĂ©able Ă  vivre.

Avis mitigé, le logement est fonctionnel mais vétuste et bruyant lorsque des personnes occupent le logement situé au-dessus. La literie est passable, le canapé également, la douche est petite et pas nette, le stationnement compliqué, l'emplacement est pratique pour se ravitailler.
