Wonderful location

First, the good...and there is plenty of "that." The hotel is located just a short walk from Hofbrauhaus and Marienplanz. Aside from Hofbrauhaus, there are several fine restaurants nearby. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is perfectly fine. My main complaint, and it is not really a complaint, is the 4-star rating the hotel has received. To put it in context, my wife and I have stayed in 48 European hotels in 46 cities, from 2-star to 5-star. Our room was small but that is not my complaint, Europen hotel rooms, even in 5-star hotels can be small. My complaint is with the bathroom: it was tiny was a shower stall wedged into the corner and a combination shower gel and shampoo container attached to the wall. If the hotel was rated three stars, the bathroom would be perfectly fine. But, this was not a 4-star bathroom. I believe in truth in advertising: if this hotel was rated as 3 stars....it would have gotten an excellent review from me. As it is rated 4 stars, I can only give it a good rating. However, this did not detract from our stay, and, overall, the hotel is a fine choice.

Stay away

The elevator doesn't service the top floor, so if your room is up there, then you'll be hauling your baggage up the stairs with no help from the hotel. Parking is in the basement, and there's a car elevator to get down there from the street level. The parking spots and the car elevator are extremely tight, even for a compact car. The room itself was adequate, though the ceilings are rather low. Breakfast was the bright spot of our stay. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience.

Good hotel in a great location. Staff were extremely helpful and nice. It's an older hotel and parking is a little tough in their underground parking lot. Walls are very thin and we were kept up half the night by the people in the room next to us letting their kids run and around and scream. Internal sound proofing is not that great. But, the hotel was in a great location and if you just need a place to put your head down and focus on going out this hotel is a good option. The staff make this place however. They were great. Top marks for staff professionalism and helpfulness. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Very nice small hotel

Very good location, good staff in all capacities, breakfast was very good, room was clean and comfortable. We chose the Standard room to save money, but would choose a larger room next time. We recommend this hotel. Have fun!

The hotel was very quiet most of the time, except for breakfast was lively. The staff that we met were very kind, the maid was very friendly! There was a good breakfast selection and they offered champagne at breakfast and mulled wine during Christmas season in the afternoons. The room was a little tight but very clean, fresh and updated. The walk to the Christmas markets and main old town areas was reasonable and we found street parking close by.

We had a great stay. The location was excellent and very convenient to old town Munich and the Christmas markets. The breakfast was very good. Parking was very convenient, The service offered, particularly by Dominic was incredible.

KEEP AWAY!!!

Paid 185 euro for 1 night in business trip. The room that they offered was a tiny room on top floor that u had to walk through stairs to reach. Furniture was really bad and the feeling was like a time travel, I believe that those rooms was sealed since 1980. The room was really noisy and could not understand the reason as it was on top floor. Keep in mind that I am a Gold Member of Expedia and I travel a lot . The personnel was really rude and didn’t accept to change rooms even if we ask to pay more money for that . Next day we had a chat with the manager and was even more rude and annoyed. It doesn’t even worth it to give more details. KEEP OUT OF THAT PLACE!!!!! Doesn’t fulfils even the standards .

Not the best value or location but ok for a night

Super hot (but tiny) shower and lovely breakfast were highlights. Staff was unresponsive to requests and concerns such as inability to control heat. Direction to cool stifling hot room was to open our ground floor window.
