The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from Geising train station. A fair walk if you are carrying some heavy luggage. The hotel itself runs efficiently, good reception desk with knowledgeable and helpful staffs, restaurant with a good and healthy spread for breakfast and also serves other meals of the day too. The place is kept clean and is well maintained. Everything works! The room itself is quite small, no wardrobe, shower & bathroom cubicle is very tight and basic amenities are provided (shower gel, shampoo and complimentary water). Better pillows could be used. WiFi in room was disappointing with weak signal. We arrived quite early about 10:30am and the staff were most helpful and accommodating by giving us a room at that time. I was most impressed with their hospitality! Danke!
The hotel is minimalist, but at the same time has a lot of character. I stayed there in December, and they played Christmas movies in the lobby and provided complimentary gluhwein outside. The rooms themselves are sparse, but have everything you need and are definitely comfortable. The hotel is located outside the main center, but it's an easy ride and makes the price of the room a lot more affordable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Lovely hotel and an easy 10 minute walk to the S to get to city center. Staff is very friendly. I love the mix of rustic and modern of the hotel. I have read that rooms were small and I had the smallest they offer the cosy alms. I had plenty of room. Good breakfast buffet, 24 hour bar...was a very nice stay in Munich and I would stay here again.
As a minimalist design lover, i found this hotel as much as i expected. Clean, enough, friendly, minimalist, black and white, young, energetic, square. At first, i only booked for one night but then i extended for one more night, bcs it was like "my own room" feelings. The bathroom was the best part of all, black and white! I really really like this hotel, even though there was no coffee/tea, no electric kettle, no fridge. You can buy coffee at the reception desk and bring it to your room, and it was good :) and they have lots of games to be played at the restaurant/lounge area. Before we checked out, we asked one of the hotel staff to take our picture using instax photo camera that they provide, and it's free. You can use it as much as you like :) One thing that i didn't like is the parking fee, it's lil bit pricey for me But overall i recommend this hotel to everyone who likes minimalist design! Thx for having us!
Nice hotel for business. Staff is very nice and they really try to assist. WiFi is not working on the second building - shame. Breakfasts is very nice. The location is very good – it’s walking distance from the city center (where you can find very good restaurants) and there is a nearby metro. Good value for money.
I stayed here for the Munich Springfest a.k.a Freuhlingsfest. It is a two block walk from the fairground where the festival is held and it was extremely convenient. Rooms were clean and modern. The hotel opened in 2016. There is a subway stop (U train) directly out the front door, so it is easy to be accessed from the airport and to all points in downtown Munich. The staff is friendly and helpful, and everybody speaks English. They also made good recommendations for restaurants nearby. There is a buffet breakfast for 9.3 Euros that was good. My one minor gripe would be that if you are used to American hotels, you will not find many soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. Instead, there is a large bottle of shampoo clamped to the wall in the shower, and a large bottle of liquid hand soap clamped next to the bathroom sink. Industrial strength, not what you would find in even an average American hotel. So bring your own soap and shampoo. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and can recommend this hotel for a traveler on a reasonable budget. Not the Four Seasons, but it does not present as such.
The room is clean with minimalist touch, I like the bathroom - clean, simple and very practical. The staffs were great, but the front desk needed a lot of training, they keep the guests waiting and seems so sloppy and messy - as if they are just out of hand, despite 2 or 3 staffs were there. It a mess, to be honest.
In terms of both memory, i remember the BOLD in Giessing - Equally at par with Sofitel Bayerpost? why? its simply stunning. The Minimalist but clean interior is very refreshing and the staffs are pleasant. Great Coffee Too! This will definitely be the hotel i will go back to if i am back in Munich and i hope they do keep this up.
We stayed at Bold hotel on two occasions during our road trip in Bavaria and Austria. We chose this hotel as it was conveniently located for our purposes (close to Autobahn to south with good connections to city centre, too) and reasonably priced. At first everything appeared to be ok. The building seems to be quite new (or recently renovated) and functional, rooms are simple but clean and spacious and we got our room straight away although we arrived quite early. However, after the promising start too many things went wrong, and especially our second stay was, if not a nightmare, in any case one of the worst hotel experiences for quite a long time (and we are not the first ones to complain about minor mistakes). I won't go into details too much as there were simply too many things that shouldn’t have happen and it would take several pages to describe them thoroughly. The common denominator for all these unfortunate incidents, however, was that the very young and evidently inexperienced staff were not at the level required by their tasks. The final insult was that in the beginning of our second stay we were advised by one of the staff members to make our own bed as they have prepared bed only for one person instead of two! Don't take me wrong. I'm not an age racist or saying that it's impossible to run a hotel with young staff. Most of the staff members were friendly and trying hard, sometimes maybe too hard. It's just that these kind of things should not happen in any hotel, no matter if it's a three star or five star facility. All in all, I wish I could recommend this hotel as a good budget option as there's basically nothing wrong with it. At the moment I just can't, however. They simply have to sharpen up their customer service, especially as the hotel seems to rely mostly on young people when it comes to their personnel policy.
We spent wonderful 5 Days in Munich at the Bold Hotel! Ok the surrounding is industrial, but the employees are very friendly and their service is beyond just good, it's phenomenal!!! The Receptionist, Service in the breakfast room, even housekeeping everyone is friendly and helpful with any question you have as a guest!!! Breakfast buffet has everything you desire and all is fresh and homemade!! The rooms are clean and very functional. The little kitchen gives you the opportunity to make yourself something small to eat and enjoy the quietness of being alone. We had a room in the 4 floor with a little balcony and a great view! You also can go to the restaurant and have a delicious meal and a nice cocktail! The hotel offers free WIFI and a garage to park the car! It's about a 5 min walk to get to the public transportation which takes you to downtown! We felt very welcome and will definitely come again! Our thanks to the staff and please keep up that spirit 😊
