We arrived here after 7hrs of traveling. I booked this hotel DIRECT and not through any "cheap" sites. Upon attempting to walk in , we had to walk between two people who were smoking just to get inside. One of which we found out was an employee....long blonde hair female, wearing shorts & a tshirt. ??? The other, a patron I'm assuming who was pretty "out of it". This was our first hint of our night to come. I booked and PAID for a 2 Queen Bed room as our daughter has epilepsy and needs a comfortable full bed for a good nights sleep to help avoid seizures. We arrive around midnight as I had already made note to the hotel that it would be a late check in......only to find that they give us a King room with a pull out "janky" sofa bed. I go down to the front desk clerk (who btw was the only NICE thing about our entire experience, a very nice gentleman) who did try and apologize and explained they were overbooked. Therefore we could not change rooms. Being it was late, all other hotels nearby were fully booked & we were exhausted from traveling, we sucked it up and took the room regardless. As the gentleman front desk clerk guy gave us blanket, sheets, & pillows for our "sofa bed" and was attempting to give us pillow cases for our pillows with the "help" from the long blonde haired female employee.....and I mentioned the fact we really wish we could have the two Queen beds we had previously booked/paid for......the female employees reaction to us was this...... "Well this isnt the Hilton". Like, seriously. No its a FAR CRY from the Hilton. Its a far cry from an abandoned Hilton! But we did PAY for a room that we did not get only to end up being a King bed with stained comforter, a janky sofa bed, an AC Vent that a prior guest used as an ashtray so the entire room REEKED of cigeratte smoke causing me to use my inhaler 6 times. And to boot....No remote for the TV. Surprise! By FAR the absolute WORST hotel I've ever been in. To not have any regard for a paying customer, travelers, out of state and just not care what happens in your hotel, is disgusting & disheartening. Complaints fall on deaf ears. Refunds aren't even discussed. Save your money and travel up the road to the next nearest city or better yet, sleep in your vehicle. It's much cleaner and most likely safer. Absolute worst hotel experience we've ever had. I've always thought certain reviews were "exaggerated" and we aren't high maintenance by any means.....but EVERY single review in here regarding dirty bedding, film on the swimming pool, cigarette smoke smells filling hallways & rooms, no regard for reservations, dirty rooms.....are all 100% accurate. I'm certain I will get the generic "we are sorry to hear....call "blah blah blah" automated generated response. The owner needs to step up and actually respond to people and CARE about your business. The ONLY positive moment was the young gentleman who worked the front desk.

My stay at motel 6 was great. The front desk worker was very polite and helpful. I think her name was Devin. She was very helpful with the best restaurants in Anderson and she helped me with some activites to do while I was in town. My room was super nice and very clean as well as it wasnt too expensive. Honestly for the price i wasnt expecting such a great service and such a clean room. I had no issues whatsoever while staying at motel 6. I was honestly very impressed. I would definitely recommend motel 6 for a place to stay while in Anderson, IN.

Filthy place. The halls reaked of cigarette smoke. Burns in the blankets. Stains all over the sheets. Ripped up and filthy carpet. This place used to be decent for the money. They did away with the hot tub. Just a local dive motel now. That’ll be the last time we ever visit again

I have stayed at this Motel6 location several times over the past few years and have watched what was an OK place to stay in Anderson turn into a scary, disgusting location that I will not be staying at again. When I checked in they said the back doors were for exit only, no entrance allowed. Well, there was a rock in the door sill to prevent the door from shutting and locking so anyone could just walk in. When I got into my room I noticed that the mirror had not been cleaned for a long time, there was a film on it that I was able to wipe off with a towel. The toilet didn’t flush correctly and the AC/Heat until was not able to maintain a decent temperature. I was not planning on spending much time in the room so I just wrote it all off. Got back in the middle of the night to the backdoor NOT locked. Woke up to find a huge bug on my pillow. I panicked and flicked it off without thinking about taking a picture. I got up and sat down in the chair, moved the ottoman to find a bunch of things on the floor underneath, which tells me the room was not vaccumed. At this point I decided I was moving to a different hotel and as I was packing up my stuff I hear a commotion out in the parking lot. I look out the window and there were 2 guys fighting, one grabbed a bat out of his truck and started swinging. I packed up and was out within 5 minutes. When I asked for a refund for the next night the girl at the front desk didn’t even bother to ask me why or if there was something she could do. I told her the room was disgusting and that they needed to talk to the cleaning staff. I really got no reaction from her at all, she was in fact rather snotty when I asked for a paper copy of the credit. It is really too bad that the management has let this place run down so much, I always thought it was a nice little hotel but obviously they have not maintained it after the remodel.

We were on our way to spend 5 months in Palm Springs and it was the first booked hotel on our trip. The room was dirty, as was the bathroom. There were holes in the walls where pictures had been previously hung and the bathroom had a broken mirror, permanently stained toilet and chips in the flooring. The continental breakfast was at the end when we arrived and so there were not replenished. Never again !!!!!

We arrived late on a Friday night after traveling for 6 hours and was hoping for a decent night sleep. We didn't expect a 5 star hotel/motel but what we got still gives me chills. Upon arrival the front desk area was disgusting but we were hoping it was because it was under construction. Right after we checked in we looked into the pool area and the pool was nasty and had an oil film on the top. I would never swim in something like that. While walking upstairs to our room the hallway smelled so bad and it was dirty. Upon walking into our room, the light made a buzzing sound that would not stop. I went to lock the door and the lock fell off in my hand and it was obvious that it had been glued several times. The door was uneven therefore you could see right in my room from outside in the hallway. There were dirty napkins on the floor, the window would not shut all the way, did not have a screen, could not lock and remember we were on the second floor. The room was just plain nasty and smelled. There were holes in the walls, the bedding was stained as well as the floors. The bathroom was even worse. The shower was filthy, the toilet was dirty even though it says that it had been sanitized and their were hairs all in the tub and floor. I couldn't bring myself to take my shoes off or even put my suitcase on the bed. I was traveling with family and they also had the same issues in their room. In the 20 minutes we were there we quickly decided to leave and stay somewhere that we did not have to worry about cleanliness and the possibility of bugs. The front desk clerk was great and did refund our money and apologized for everything. That was the only good thing that came about. I would never recommend anyone to stay there and personally I think the place needs demolished and rebuilt. I have stayed in other Motel 6 and have never had any issues, but I will think twice about staying in one in the future after this experience.

We noticed food and clothes in the fridge and drawers. Called downstairs the foreign guy was so clueless, he said the manager would be here at 8am, well he lied so we will never stay here again, plus I got bit by a bed bug, so they didn't wash the sheets. We will pay more to stay better and not have to worry bout bed bugs. My husband is calling the Corporate Motel 6. DO NOT STAY HERE!

When we arrived our room smelled like marijuana so bad. We went downstairs to complain and the supervisor brings up a foam carpet cleaner and sprays the floor. He opens the window which has no screen (on the 2nd floor) and says “no lean out, this ok, nothing here”. Then when we go to use the restroom and pull the sani strip off the toilet, lift the lid and it is disgusting!! It was not even cleaned! Pubic hair and urine on the seat, nasty ring inside the toilet. Look in the shower and there’s hair everywhere! We go down and demand them to clean the bathroom. The supervisor comes back up with a bottle of windex, WINDEX! And one wash rag. He proceeds to clean the toilet first and then the tub with the same dirty rag! windex does not disinfect and now he’s spread the toilet germs to the shower, so we now know we will not be using the shower either. My daughter points out the burn marks on the top blanket which leads me to believe that they did not change the bedding due to the existing smell. At this point I am already very angry and my 13 year old niece starts having troubles with her asthma because the smell never aired out, it was so strong. All of this occurred within 30 min of our arrival. We had booked a non refundable room but I was determined to move to another hotel either way. While waiting for check out three other customers were at the desk complaining of similar issues with their rooms. One thing I can say positively is that the manager immediately promised me a refund as we were checking out, which was processed within a week, but they still charged me $4 for room keys.

This motel is in extremely poor shape and is very dirty. The bathrooms are stained. Our room didn’t even get cleaned while we were gone. We also had to switch rooms because our door wouldn’t lock! The staff had no answers for why our room wasn’t cleaned. Save yourself time and go somewhere else.

I had to post a second review to be fair since the place improved. The lobby and pool areas are now cleaned up. It looks like the hot tub has been totally removed. The rooms are basic, standard, clean. The amenities provided are sparse - two Motel 6 soap bars and coffee in the lobby until 10am. Free parking, easy check in and a noon (thank you) check out. I had a mini fridge last stay, this time a microwave. The best part, dogs stay free, and there are no pet friendly tell-tale signs.
