even though it says that construction doesn’t happen on the weekend..... wait for it .... .it does. elevator is used for construction which makes it hard to use. mold growing in the pool area leaking ceiling. stay away
Not much to look at during renovations but a good location and decent rooms. Ran into a problem when they shut down the one and only elevator for a couple hours during the day. Was travelling with my mother who is unable to do stairs.
I stayed at the place for two weeks in November 2017. The place was undergoing renovation, which we were not informed earlier. The hotel is decent, halfway between the airport and city center. There is a walmart and a couple of restaurants nearby. The breakfast options were limited. The rooms looks a bit old, but they are getting renovated room by room. Overall, they are budget friendly.
Good hotel for the price. Friendly front desk staff. Good breakfast and excellent location. The rooms are being renovated as the hotel is changing to Ramada. My only suggestion would be to change the mattresses. Ours was a little flat and hurt our back by the morning.
Pre-booked and prepaid for a king room. They only delivered a double double with confrontational front desk staff not wanting to move/allocate to the room, which was available, that was actually requested. Had to get customer service involved before the situation was resolved two hours later. Missed dinner reservations in the meantime... Not my first choice
Not all rooms are made alike. They have some decent newly renovated rooms, you just have to ask for them. They are currently adding another floor, as long as you stay on the bottom two floors it doesn’t really effect the stay very much.
Stay at the hotel again, this time midweek. Enjoyed free kosher breakfast. Rooms were clean, with modern renovations. Very Comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful. Staff was great. Cant say enough good things. Enjoyed lobby area with family and other guests.
We recently spent 1 night here, having driven up from New York to attend an urgent meeting. It's right off the Decarie Expressway, a straight shot from the Champlain Bridge. We have stayed here before for similar functions in that neighborhood and found the hotel very convenient for us. It's close to downtown and to Old Montreal and a few minutes drive to the Fairmount and St. Viateur bagel stores (a must do in Montreal). Across the expressway is the Orange Julep, a Montreal institution. The facility itself is adequate. We did not use the pool and parked on the street (if you do, be sure to tell the front desk so you don't get charged for parking). A bit pricey for its class but we found the convenience worth it. The hotel is clean and the breakfast adequate (although busy).
Stay there for couple nights for pure holiday in Montreal, a fine hotel with a good access with Metro to reach tourist attractions within the city. I enjoy every aspect of the stay, being it was my first trip to Canada. At nearby Metro station, there are some restaurants, coffee shops, and groceries store.
Parking is cramped & $8.CAD/day. Double beds comfortable old low to the floor style, fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, very few outlets. Bathroom has a fancy walk in glass shower. WARNING: put bath mat inside on shower stall floor. It is a very dangerous slippery shower. Also, there is absolutely no place to put your soap or anything you normally use in the shower. Think there is a pool in the basement. Free breakfast & WiFi. The breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant area. Think the hotel caters to a Kosher crowd. Breakfast had wonderful fresh croissants, scrambled eggs, HB eggs, canned baked beans, cereals, juice. They ran out of yogurt & offered no apologies. Upon checkout, we were not asked about our stay. It seemed overpriced for what they offered.
