The room had a mildewy smell upon entering and the bathroom was dirty as well as the beds. There were broken light fixtures and outlets as well as the fan in the bathroom is missing just an empty hole that could pose safety issue. Area surrounding motel is pretty sketchy and feels unsafe. Wouldn’t recommend.

We booked two rooms and when we checked-in we were allocated with one smoking room and other on non-smoking room. It was not mentioned anywhere while doing online reservation that we would be provided with smoking room. The smell of smoke was so strong that we couldn't stand for even single minute. Also, A/C was not working properly and did not have remote or button to control the temperature. The bedsheets were dirty and spots on it. Telephone was not working and drawer was broken. Lights were inadequate. When we request the staff to change room they just said that they can't help with this. Overall, the experience was so terrible and I would NEVER suggest anyone this stay. More to this, when I talked to Expedia customer service, even they did not compensate us.

The Motel Rideau is sub standard, dirty and too massy ,no dairy cleaning, no bf, no hot water to make coffee,the owner don’t provide enough clean towels, parking is full of big , long vehicles, it doesn’t suits family to stay there:

I had a really bad experience at this motel. The staff was unprofessional, and it took forever to get any assistance. Management was even worse—Mean and unhelpful when I had an issue. The room was filthy—stains on the sheets, dirty floors, and a musty smell that never went away. The place seemed poorly run, and I won’t be staying here again. Avoid it if you can.

Is really old and not clean. Towels and bed linen are Ok but you can notice furniture hasn’t been moved to clean at least the visible spots and the windows as well. Mattress is uncomfortable I suggest they put a memory foam pad on top to help, since you can feel the springs every time you move or turn.

I would not suggest anybody to go to this place. It’s disgusting staff is rude. They don’t speak no French nor English their Chinese not friendly at all. They overcharge you by charging you extra deposit fee of $60 for nothing rooms are dirty. There is spiderwebs all over the place hair all over the place bedsheets are burned. I guess from people smoking in them. Terrible conditions of mould and cigarette smell holes everywhere chair was broken taped with the scotch tape to put back together. Bed shook like it was ready to break all the pictures that you see on the website. It’s not for that motel. False advertising they were blood stains all over the wall disgusting I was overcharged for two nights stay and I’ve been in bad places almost $720. That’s including the $60 deposit that I hope I will get back. Please doesn’t offer you no glasses for water doesn’t offer you no coffee or tea as a complementary stay like you get in any motel Just terrible. Terrible. Terrible service if I was by myself, I would’ve slept in my vehicle. I would be probably safer than in the room. I booked a double bed and I was accommodated only with a single king size bed terrible. I would not suggest if you have an option of going somewhere else take them this place should not be listed on hotels.com because it just puts a very bad reputation to the website.
