Le Nouvel Hotel & Spa

Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Restaurant menu needs more selections for seafood and vegetarian items. Reception area needs better and nearer locations to entrance and exit.

We were very happy with this hotel. It was a little out of the center of the city, but an easy walk into the center and a moderate walk to the old city. It was quieter than in center city, but close to several colleges, so lots of eateries and convenience stores nearby. The hotel was clean and our room was very nice. We had a king standard and the only complaint was that we had a support post in the center of the room. We plan to stay here again when we visit Montreal.

Excellent hotel, good price, friendly staff, good restaurant, good wi-if, and in a great downtown location. Perfect for business or leisure.

Good location. Close walking distance to restaurants.

Fast check in-out, clean all around, Very comfortable bed, fast elevators, quiet rooms, front desk people very knowledgeable and friendly.

Got a free upgrade, it was nice. Too bad parking wasn't free.

Love the city! This hotel is a little old, but the staff is friendly and very helpful (they speak French, English and Spanish). Plus the hotel is only about a 5min walk to the metro train station. Plenty of restaurants nearby and taxi cabs line up right around the corner to take you wherever you need to go. Some travelers had a prob w/the wifi but it worked just fine for us during our stay.

We remained optimistic throughout the stay that it wasn't that bad but several things were difficult to ignore. The room smelled like cigarettes every time we entered and the halls smelled like trash on several occasions. The bathroom door was extremely hard to close and metal pieces in the shower were coming off. They charged my card twice on 'accident' so there was a hold for a substantial amount of money which I couldn't access for up to five days. Then when they returned the charge that was never supposed to happen, they returned a lesser amount than what they took out and couldn't explain why that happened. I had to put a dispute in with my credit card company to get my money back because of someone's mistake. It was a hassle trying to contact the appropriate people at the hotel and involved several phone calls to their front desk.

Booked a room with two queen beds. However, after checking in and getting to the room it turns out we were given a room with king bed. When we went downstairs with the concern, we were told that the hotel was very busy that night and they had to accommodate stuffs. They told us that either we can request cot if we indeed need two beds or we can sleep on their couch bed. - Lots of drama went on that night. They even went on to say that we booked online and not by calling the hotel so there was never a guarantee that we would get a room with two queen bed even though we booked it. Very bad experience.

Very nicely situated near Concordia university and St. Catherine street (lots and lots of nice restaurants and places to hang out). The staff was very nice and the decoration is very modern. Loved it! Highly recommended if you'd like to check out the city.

just ok, just ok, just ok, just ok, just ok, just ok, just ok, just ok

The hotel is close to the metro. Was in town for the Women's World Cup. Close to good restaurants. Parking is available for $15/day. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Walked around the downtown area.

I started to stay downtown instead of by the airport. I picked this hotel for the price. The hotel was clean. The location is great and the staff are very helpful.

Very good hotel, good location, clean, good price and very nice staff people.

Great hotel, with very friendly staff. Near to many trains and one bus line. Easy walk to the underground city.

Meet my expectations and even beyond expectation really nice hotel. I will certainly recommend this hotel

The building is very old room got smell and decoration is out of date. The location is still good enough to take a walk around.

Great location, comfortable rooms, good amenities, with mediocre staff members.

great but didnt have so much time to appreciate the hotel
