This is the most amazing, tranquil, romantic property. To think that he bought it and renovated the whole place. The views are breathtaking. For sure have dinner at the property's restaurant. Fixed menu but all the vegetables and herbs are right out of his garden.

Veronica’s apartment was perfect for us this last week in Rome. There is plenty of space, good AC (which is necessary this time of year), and everything else the three of us needed. It would be great for two couples or a family of 4. Veronica was responsive and we were met at a convenient time for us with a smile, a bowl of fresh fruit and many recommendations on dining and the area. The location was very good for us, which is close to Spanish Steps and Borghese Gardens, with Trevi, Pantheon and other sites a short walk away. Plenty of dining and shopping are available in the neighborhood which was quiet and pleasant. We would stay here again.

These people have no idea how to run a successful business. They took our booking, and confirmed it, then a better offer came by people booking directly outside of Hotels.com, and binned us. Absolutely atrocious customer service

This Villa was extraordinary and the # one thing that made it amazingly special was the kindness, graciousness, and warmth of all the team members, including, but not limited to Elissa, Francesca (5 star chef to us), Mattia, Masi, our lovely chambermaid, and the groundskeeper. A bonus was the owner and his partner visiting with us during our 4 course dinner one night, so gracious and lovely. There are not enough words to describe the uniqueness and simplicity of this property. It was truly serene, and everything I had ever imagined of what Tuscany would be like. Down to earth luxury. Bellisimo! We are so grateful to have experienced this.

It's hard to know where to begin to describe the magic of this place... the scenery, the history, the private spa, the heritage building, the in room jacuzzi.. its spectacular. But the real attraction of Relais La Costa is the chef Francesca. She is the lifeblood of the property and an absolute gem. She took us on an unforgettable culinary journey, for breakfast and dinner.. together with Diana her assistant they bring a warmth and hospitality to the place that few other places could come close to matching. We came for the property but would return for the food and warmth of its people. We can't thank you enough for such a wonderful, unforgettable experience.

900 year old gem!

What an amazing find...we stayed one night as we were working our way through Tuscany and the only disappointment was that we didn't stay longer. Rosaria and the team were welcoming and friendly, sharing their recommendations, and providing us with 5-star service. We enjoyed a refreshing time at the pool, taking in beautiful views of the valley and castles across the way, before we enjoyed the 4 course dinner, which they kindly provided vegetarian alternatives for two of us. It was truly superb and I can't wait for the opportunity to return!

A great view of castles in the distance

The hotel was amazing and we had a great dinner there on one of the nights. It is a bit out of town so helpful if you have your own car or dont mind lounging around, relaxing or having a swim. The staff are very nice and even helped us out with the bikes they have on site (free to use). A pity we were so unfit that we had to walk half of the hills. The view from the terrace is of a couple of castles in the distance, not bad at all.

Before arriving we were given clear and concise directions by text, which helped a lot. We had a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival. The staff were great throughout and we had 2 nice dinners there. Breakfast also had a good selection. The buildings and rooms are fantastic, clean and spacious, keeping the design of the ruin stones inside and outside too. Pool was nice and good sunbeds. The only annoyance was the flies, however I don’t think the hotel can do anything about that as they seem to be everywhere in wine country. Overall we highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Real Paradise!

Amazing place to stay! Very spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy two bedroom apartment! Super friendly and helpful staff, starting from Manager to servant. Super delicious food and wine! Such a quiet and peaceful place. Amazing view from our window over hills and nature! La Costa was highlight of our trip defenetly and wish to come back there soon!

Nice and remote, but no AC

Relais la Costa is a lovely place 15min away from Siena. The isolated location with the very nice pool makes it the ideal destination for a weekend of complete relaxation. The silence and peace as well as the view of Chianti are worth the drive. Management and staff are very friendly. The main drawback is that the place does not have air conditioning: During the hot summer months, I would stay in another resort for the same price. The manager did try to compensate for it with a small discount, but the lack of AC made sleeping impossible (our young kids suffered the most). Also, the dinner prepared on site is not worth the 40 euro they charge: You can eat the same food (or better), in a nearby restaurant or in Siena for cheaper prices...and without the hair we found in 3(!) dishes. Bottom line: Highly recommended in Spring/Fall, not during (hot) summer days because of lack of AC.

This is a beautiful place with character and charm. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Our family of four enjoyed two nights here in July. The pool provided us a refreshing dip and a time to relax after a lot of running around. The one thing to note is that there is no air con and the fan provided runs very loudly. Also, this place is a good 15 minute drive away from town - very much off the track. But that also meant it was lovely and quiet. Overall, we were charmed.

Loved it!

We booked this hotel last minute and wow what a great surprise this was. The staff was the friendliest we've ever seen and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking to relax in a quiet and beautiful setting, and have 4 course meals cooked and served on site (for an extra cost), and lay by an amazing hilltop pool, this is all that and more. It was a perfect stop for us because we wanted all those things. It's about a 20 minute drive to town, and it's a beautiful drive! We can't recommend this enough, and we hope to be back some day.

A little piece of paradise

My husband and I have just returned from 3 nights at Relais La Costa to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was also our first child-free holiday in 6 years. From the moment we were met by Englatina, I knew we had made the right decision about where to stay. She was as friendly and welcoming as the place itself. We relaxed immediately in the beautiful surroundings and had the most incredible room. The wonderful chef, Anglelica, was truly talented and clearly cared that you enjoyed the food. We ate two incredible meals here, one on my birthday. We couldn't praise the staff highly enough, as they were all so kind and welcoming. What a wonderful, wonderful place. I will always remember the special few days we spent with you and hope that before long we will return. Thank you so much for going out of your way to make my 40th birthday ( which I was slightly dreading) truly wonderful.

Fabulous location in the hills above Siena

A fabulous renovated property overlooking Siena. The views were amazing, the property beautiful, the rooms immaculate. It is difficult to say what made our stay so wonderful - the views, the property, the location? All were fabulous but on top of all this was a small team of amazing staff. All were extremely welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. And then there was the food - absolutely fantastic - from breakfast through to lunch through to dinner - truly delicious, exceptional tastes of Italy. Thank you to everyone at La Costa for a wonderful week.

Country classic living

Three nights at the hotel....isolated a bit from Siena, but only a 10 minute drive back into town when needed. The dinners were typical Tuscan fare that was very well done by the kitchen, good enough in fact that we ate there vs. finding places in town. Recognize that this place is up a gravel road a couple of miles off a secondary road...could be a little hard to remember or get to late at night.

What a lovely place. The apartment was perfect with lots of room, easily able to keep the kids apart! Lovely pool to relax in and the evening meals were fantastic - why travel away when they are this good and you can enjoy the wine and not worry about driving.

Love it! Love it! Love it!

This has got to be one of the best hotels in this part of Italy. It's new but it has old Italy flavor. It was once a house dating back 1,000 years. They built the hotel around the original rock walls of the old house. Everything including the faucets are high quality ... Even the towels are decorated. The apartment has a full kitchen. The unit has beautiful antique pieces of furniture. What a wonderful setting...the pool area is beautiful. The staff is wonderful, helpful and efficient. We WILLL return and hopefully much longer than one night. Come before the prices increase due to its popularity. (Yes, you definitely a car but it's not that far out of the way)
