Comfort Inn Carmel By The Sea

The hotel is a little gem in carmel. You can literally walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. There is nothing fancy about this hotel but it has a bit of charm on the outside and is an excellent place to stay and see carmel. I would stay here again in a minute.

Perfect for location for walking around town. Great value for a comfortable room.

Nice and neat, room is nice, breakfast is not bad, will go for this again.

Great location on Ocean; good value for the area. This is a 1960's motel, updated and very appropriate for the area! Rooms are small but have clean, nicely decorated room. Not a great mattress, but slept fine.

The room as a whole was comfortable the pillows were this small, half the size of regular pillows and not very comfortable. The location was great, close to everything in down town Carmel which made up for the ridiculous pillows. The breakfast was the worst I ever had in any Motel, the sausage was full of grizzel, and the peculiar yellow discs that were supposed to be eggs almost made me sick. There was also cold cereal and small kind of stale danish. If I go back to Carmel I will probably stay else where.

Great couple retreat. Perfect location. Beach is within walking distance

We had an excellent stay at Comfort Inn in Carmel. Other reviews rated it highly as a good place to stay for a very reasonable price. We would agree with that. Our room was much better than you'd expect for a motel/Inn, akin to a more upmarket place. The room was clean, large enough to be comfortable and the decor had quality feel. We also had a light view of the ocean and some of downtown Carmel. The continental breakfast was what you'd expect but we feel it's a great bonus to get some kind of breakfast when other places charge much higher prices for a poorer quality room, worse location and no breakfast. We would highly recommend this place for those budgeting under $100/night and wanting to keep the quality decent. The owner manager was a little over zealous regarding use of the waffle iron but I'm sure she's seen plenty of people mess it up! Minor details to an otherwise great place.

Recently remodeled, this quaint hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the heart of Carmel. Hot breakfast included. Rooms small, but very nice. Easy to find.

We didn't sped much time in the inn, but we appreciated to clean room and up-to-date design and amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

THE ROOM WAS A BIT ON THE MUSTY SIDE. THE FRONT DESK ROOM WAS OVERWHELMED WITH THE SMELL OF CURRY WHICH WAS A BIT OVERWHELMING TO A VISITOR/CUSTOMER.

The hotel is in a very nice location, easy to walk around town. I like the way they remodeled but keep the charm. The rooms were small but very comfortable. I would go back!

the location is very nice ,the price is nice , the reception is nice but the room was small but clean and confortable, the design heavy and the internet not secured? which make you feel insecured but overall I recommand it

Great location and the price was fantastic. Within a short walk to shopping and dining. Lobby opened a little late for thier free breakfast at 7:30am as I was already headed to the golf courses by then.

The location was nice. Walking distance to shopping and the restaurants in Carmel. The room was clean and recently updated. The However, the room was very small. The bathrooms were very nice and clean.

We were allowed to use the breakas rooom to play bridge in the evening.

Hotel was good. The rooms were clean.Very quiet and restfull. Breakfast was sparce.

very nice

This is definitely not four star, but if you want a nice place to stay for a few days in Carmel, it certainly met our needs. As it turns out it is right next door to what I believe is the only little market in Carmel. Very handy. Was even able to rent a video. If it is extraordinarily hot it could be a problem as there is no air conditioning. But it sure beat staying outside of Carmel when visiting the Monterey area. Recently redecorated.

The rooms were very small but nicely redecorated. Hotel was within walking distance of town and all the shops and restaurants.

Wonderful hotel in charming area. Walking distance to everything! Very comfortable room, bed, linens. Microwave and mini-fridge. Generous breakfast with bagels, Belgian waffles, cereals, fruit, etc. We were on motorcycles and they gave us a special parking place right in front of the office so the bikes would be secure. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit Carmel. In fact, we have attempted to stay here several times before but they have always been full so we were elated! Casanova's Restaurant is around the corner and it is a must!
