As the name states, a coachman meets your every need. The inn is part of the Four Sisters group, and always guarantees a nice stay in a lovely appointed very clean room. Staying on the 3rd floor in a large room with a king bed and fireplace made for a romantic get-away. The evening hors d'oeuvres were very nice, house made appetizers, such as warm artichoke dip, plus cheese, crackers, fruit, wine, soda, etc. Breakfast was hearty, something delicious for everyone. The location was excellent, a block and a half off the main street, near great restaurants, and included on-site free parking. We will definitely return to stay again at the Coachman Inn.

This was such a neat little place. Perfect location within walking distance of the beach, great restaurants and you could not ask for a nicer staff. They made you feel at home. Clearly the people that stay come back over and over (regulars for sure)

My wife and I spent two nights here in late August,2017. We had a great stay! Management was exceptional, especially Karen Redman and her sister. The room was beautiful, breakfast was very good, and afternoon wine and hors d'oeuvres were terrific. The hotel is in the center of town and is convenient to numerous terrific restaurants

A great little place to stay with thoughtful staff and nice amenities located in a perfect place in Carmel. Coachman's Inn has nice clean rooms, a great breakfast, afternoon wine and tea and sometimes you're lucky enough to score one of their homemade cookies!

Comfortable rooms, good location, great people, fair cost. Only thing missing was a view. Parking is tight or unavailable. Everything within walking distance. Breakfast was fine, nothing great but convenient and nourishing.

The Inn is located just a block and a half off Ocean at 7th and San Carlos. It has all of the charm you expect to find in Carmel. Very friendly staff and off-street parking. Breakfast is included. I have stayed here several times over the past few years and am never disappointed.

We have been staying at the Coachman's Inn off and on for the last 15 years and it just keeps getting better! We absolutely love the quaintness of the hotel and proximity to the middle of Carmel and the beach. The recent inclusion of a buffet breakfast (arguably better than any dining establishment you will find), afternoon wine and hours d'oeuvres, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere are the reasons we will continue to return for years to come!

Almost everything was great, except the one thing the hotel couldn’t control…the noise. Since this Inn was built long ago in motel style, noise reverberates from people walking in the outdoor hallway or simply talking in normal voices inside or outside of their rooms. So we won’t be staying here again simply because of the noise. You can really tell they tried hard and mostly succeeded in remodeling this property. The sheets are wonderfully soft. There are charming places to sit outside. But the problem is people tend to congregate in these charming areas, talking and laughing until 11 – 11:30. I can’t blame them, it’s really nice, but their voices reverberate and you can actually hear their conversations and it makes sleeping impossible. It truly is a perfect location, very charming exterior. Rooms are very nice and clean (except the carpets are quite dirty but everything else was clean). There are no safes, which I found unusual, but neither my jewelry nor our computers were stolen, so I guess it’s OK not having a safe. There is not enough parking so we were constantly having to pay attention to moving the car. We kept a note on the floor by the door. There are only 6 hangers in the room (2 of which are occupied by robes) so we just moved the robes and tripled up on hanging our clothes but you should probably bring extra hangers. The breakfast was terrific. Cookies are terrific but you need to be aware the cookies seem to only exist between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. so you will need to hoard and save if you want a cookie for dessert. My suggestion would be to get an upper floor room and wear noise cancelling headphones to sleep.

The location of the Inn could not have been any better. The room was big, clean and very well decorated. It had an electric fireplace which made it super romantic. TV, microwave, fridge and a coffee maker were also present. The staff were very helpful and generally a delight to talk to. They provided us with a map and a lot of useful information. The breakfast was delicious every morning and fresh baked cookies were on offer in the afternoon. Wine and odeurs were on offer in the evening.

Karen the manager was such a delight and very helpful. The food they serve you for breakfast and early evening appetizers was so so Yummy!!! The location was great as well though be prepared it can be a little noisy. The beach is just a short walk and it's Beautiful. The prettiest beach we've been to in a long time. Loved our stay and will be back.
