We are from Minnesota and it really gave us the impression of being way Up North in a lodge/adventure setting instead of a regular hotel. We were very surprised and enchanted. We hope to be back soon!

It was perfect for my weekend getaway. Quiet and warm in my room. Hikes were awesome especially Mount Manuel.

We felt lucky to be able to stay and relax at Big Sur Lodge during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many thanks to the staff who keep the facility open and safe for the guests!!!

Have stayed there before and seems like the customer service is declining.

Huge redwoods just outside your door Be sure to take the gorge trail to the big river pool. Lots of paved walking or trail walking.

Dirty Units, Insects in my bed, dirty sheets, broken fan, unfriendly staff at the desk when the problems were brought to their attention

We had absolutely no power during our stay at Big Sur Lodge. Because Big Sur does not have strong wifi we were not made aware of this until it was dark out and most accommodations were full. We were upgraded to a room with a fireplace, but only given a few pieces of wood and two flashlights - one of which died after an hour of use. We were informed we would receive a full refund if we called Orbitz, but the hotel is now only willing to issue a 50% refund.

lStaff was exceptional. Location was very convenient to the coastal sites. Facilities were satisfactory. Meals at the lodge were excellent.
