This hotel was pretty average but was clean and in a great location. Extremely overpriced however this is expected in the Carmel & Monterey area.

Property is in a good location, moderate price for Carmel area. Heads up on hidden fees: parking, WiFi etc (the later was stated on Expedia site at time of check in). A $33 parking fee for a self park motor lodge is a great revenue maker, but should be explicitly stated when choosing. Hole in bathroom ceiling and worn, threadbare robes We won’t stay here again despite frequently being in the area for family activities.

Lots of little problems that weekend, phones not working so had to come down to ask for missing things in room such as toilet paper and towels. No hot water was available for most of day during one day and no method of communicating to guests. Again, more trips to front desk to inquire on eta. Checked out in person on last day and now they’re adding more charges to my credit card which now requires me to call and inquire.

It's a nice hotel in great area. A lot of restaurants, shops and stores are around. The room and hotel itself was clean. Beautiful flowers were blooming all over the place. We had breakfast in the hotels restaurant and it was delicious.

The front desk staff was super nice. The beds are horrible mattress thin, squeaky and the bedsheets were itchy and felt like sandpaper. The pillows again super thin. Housekeeping in the morning was super loud outside our room, and to top it off we try to sleep in and at 8:45 am they knocked super loud to clean the room when check out is not till 11:00 am. Will not return to this hotel.

I didn’t like all the add on fees and add on taxes to these fees. Resort fees w added taxes, excessive parking fee w added car occupancy tax. The list goes on and on. All the fees and taxes added over 30% to the bill. Ridiculous
