I traveled from TX and my stay was great! It was very peaceful and there was not a lot of unwanted visitors hanging outside (if you know what I mean). I will return to that location when I return back to AL.
I am a hurricane evacuee. I am grateful that you had a room available. Your front desk clerk we're fantastic. The housekeeping and laundry staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast could have included more things like eggs. I had trouble trying to sign up for the Windham rewards. I could not get the website to function. The day shift girl said that I had to use the website. Oh well I stayed from night of September 7 to leaving on September 17. I don't know how many points I have. Thanks again for your help. The people on your staff were helpful and kind. I especially want to thank the older male night clerk who helped me check in after a difficult 16 he ride to get to you.He was kind and nice enough to help me with my belongings and help me get my cat into the room. He also looked at a huge bruise I had on my wrist that I got from traveling and we double checked and it was not a spider bite just a bruise. He told me about your ice machine but I had cold compress' with me. He made me feel safe after a horrible commute. Thanks for your help.
Very nice place to stay, neat and clean with friendly people there to help you out with any problem you might have,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Reserved a room because we were evacuating for the hurricane. I've got an autistic five year old and service dogs. Drove in horrific traffic for fifteen hours and arrived exhausted and stressed. Go in to check in and were told they didn't have our room. Treated very rudely by front staff who refused to help in any way or call a manager. No open hotels any place so left to sleep in our vehicle with an autistic child. Nightmare!!! No help no sympathy nothing. Bad enough anytime to do this, but even worse to an evacuated family with a disabled child. No excuse.
I specifically booked a room to accommodate 4 people to a room. Got to hotel at 10pm and was told that room only had one bed and I'd have to pay more to stay in a room with more beds. To be fair I did go back and see it was only one bed in description, but then why sell the room as accommodating 4 people? Far too many other choices for a traveler on this location. Move onto a better choice that represents itself honestly. That's what I did with my family.
For some reason I had to have my key reset every single day I was there. Never received a refund for the vending machine. The remote on the tv was not responsive even after a battery change.
This motel had some good things. The rooms were clean and it had a laminate floor, which I approve of highly. The AC was new and quiet. The bathroom had the toilet and tub in a separate room from the sink, which I appreciate. The desk clerk was very helpful. However, it had more cons. When we first walked in we were hit with a moldy smell and a feeling of dampness. It was raining outside, so that would partly explain the dampness but the linens on the beds, everything felt damp. Nothing could explain the funky, moldy smell. It had a TV that we could not turn on. One trip to the front desk was necessary to learn how to turn it on, and that was difficult. The remote was useless and it took two of us to get it turned on. One contortionist might have been able to do it. However, the channel guide provided in the room was not accurate (which did not seem to bother the desk clerk at all) so it took another trip to the desk to learn how to actually find channels that we wanted on the set. It was totally ridiculous. The pillows were small and limp and although they provided a little coffee maker, there were no cups and we had to go to the front desk to get cups. There were no water glasses, either.....nothing. There was a refrigerator and microwave but we did not try them to see if they worked. Breakfast was minimal, yogurt, two choices of cereal (both high in sugar) and some sad looking waffles that one was supposed to put into the toaster. They did not turn brown. We did not have a pet with us but they did allow pets, for a $25 fee. The clerk told me that was a bargain. However, we recently stayed at a DaysInn in another town that charged only $10 and the room rates were much more reasonable so I am not sure what the average pet fee might be. While this place was adequate, we will not stay there again. The cost was more than we have paid for nicer rooms in nicer motels. Oh, we were warned by one of the other guests that it was not in a "nice neighborhood" and we should not walk around after dark. We did not see any threats as we walked to a nearby grocery store.
As soon as I walked in the room I smelled a foul odor. There was mold on the ceiling, walls, and even on the Gideon bible in the nightstand. I left after 2 hours as the ac was also broken.
We stayed 2 nights and it was definitely not worth the money! The room had an horrible odor. The shower curtain was covered in mildew and mold. The first night the towels that were hanging in the room had obviously been previously used because they were wet. My husband went down the next morning to ask for more towels and was told they did not have extra. The room had new flooring however it was done poorly due to you could see a gap between the floor and the door. The linen was stained and the pillows were flat. We thought we would give this hotel a try since it was located close to our event we had to attend. Big mistake!
Was met with a very big good evening to you. From there it went up. The manager understood my needs (need help walking) and gave us a great room. Thank you very much.
