The property os very comfortable and the site could not be better the views from our room were super nice, very romantic. We got a very large room with a fireplace and all was perfect expect the food, there was only one restaurant open and the food was ok but overpriced for the quality and the experience.
Tranquil, peaceful, amazing view from our room. Outstanding food and service. Incredibly beautiful grounds and a world class auto museum experience. As an architect I appreciated the attention to detail, design, scale, plantings, colors. Really liked the disc golf course as well.
The resort strives to provide guests with an exceptional experience and our experience was just that. The resort is also very pet friendly and our room was very quiet even though there were other dogs nearby. The canyon areas surrounding the resort are spectacular and provided wonderful adventures for my husband and I. We drove to beautiful overlooks and spotted wild turkey, pheasant, big horned sheep and deer on two of our drives. Our next stay we will take advantage of the rental atvs at the Adventure Center and some of the guided tours that the resort offers. It was an amazing stay over Thanksgiving and the dinner was exceptional.
Extremely friendly and classy place with spectacular red rock scenery. Everything you could ask for, except golf, which is a plus in my book. There are nice adventure experiences for almost anyone, and the food is excellent.
We took a great trail ride on horseback through some of the most beautiful country in western Colorado. Our wrangler was really funny and knowledgeable. Even the novice riders in our group felt very comfortable. We had an enjoyable lunch Paradox Grille after the ride.
Our stay at the Gateway Canyons Resort was just perfect. The resort is beautiful and comfortable. The staff is top-notch: authentically customer-friendly, positive, professional, and made sure our every need was met. The scenery in the surrounding area is spectacular.
Having been at Gateway Canyons once before and not having a chance to see the Automobile Museum, I wanted to return to complete the visit. After several years, I finally made it back. First off, you really need to want to go there, to go there. It is not a get on an airplane, take a cab and check in kind of place. It is in a remote part of Colorado (my home state) and unless you fly in by helicopter, it's a fairly long drive. But as far as my wife and I are concerned it is well worth it! We love the remote location in spectacular canyon lands. Just our cup of tea. Everything about the place is first class. I'm sure we'll go back sometime if the opportunity arises.
We stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The setting is gorgeous and tranquil (unique red rock canyons), the grounds are beautiful, the staff are amazing. KIVA Lodge Signature Room is the way to go which had its very own outdoor hot tub which we loved. There's so much to do, we enjoyed hiking every day and the Off-Road Touring (is exhilarating- it was the highlight of our get away). The food was great. The auto museum featured rare and historic automobiles the presentation includes the one-of-a-kind 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car. Great resort. Great location. Amazing staff. I highly recommend.
Gateway delivered another wonderful extended weekend. Every detail at this resort has been carefully crafted to embrace its remote & rugged surroundings. The staff members in every department where of the highest quality, friendly and extremely accommodating.
Amazing resort location and amenities, but the food was insanely over priced for what you get. We'd come back, but we'd BRING OUR ON FOOD!!!!!!! The area is gorgeous with Canyonlands everywhere. Activities were very nice. But, seriously, stay away from their restaurants unless you like over priced food that is mostly poor quality.
