DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel St. Paul Downtown

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My wife and I spent a night to "get away." We knew it was mostly expensive b/c it was downtown but we expected a little bit more. Bathroom was small and cramped. Bathtub didn't work correctly and when we called the desk they said they would have the "room engineer" call us back but that never happened. It was clean, good location (middle of downtown and skyway connected...). Just felt like a ho hum room...

Overall great stay at Doubletree St Paul. Convenient location to our venue.

The pool was suppose to close at 11pm, my daughter wanted to swim before bed so at about 10:30 she went to swim and was promptly told that the pool was closed and she needed to leave, by the time she got back to the room it was still only 10:50!!! UNACCEPTABLE, we went there for her birthday weekend and she was not happy about being kicked out early!!!!!

it was a good location for the running event. the room was clean, but the hotel needs to be updated

the staff was nice the place is nice hard to the food was nice the place was in a good area.

Stayed here for the weekend for a concert. It was close to everywhere we needed to be and the parking made things so easy. The room was nice and clean and the staff were helpful. Would definitely come back.

Very good hotel. Overall pretty nice, a little pricey for valet parking.

The staff was wonderful, everything was clean, the food was good and affordable. The shuttle drivers were the best!! My only complaint is the location, although it was in the center of town, it as mostly offices near by, and thus not a lot of restaurants.

Friendly and Safe. Amazing Service and yummy cookies I couldn't eat because I'm being good :)

I arrived very tired from traveling and just wanted to lay down - the first room they put me in had a wedding party happening right below it in the atrium. The inward windows looked down into that and it was very loud. So I asked to be moved and they moved me to a different floor that use to be smoking floor and the room reeked of cigarettes, so I asked to be moved again. The 3rd room was fine. Nothing special about the room and I did not think it was worth the cost.

Great service. Love the cookies. Very convenient location.

I arrived late for check in after a long day of travel and the check in experience was difficult since the restaurant/bar in the check in area was hosting karaoke night and the music was so loud I could not hear the hotel staff checking me in. Also I got tired of riding the elevator with people who reeked of alcohol from the bar. It was a bit of a party scene which didn't fit my business travel interests. It was disappointing that breakfast was not included in my stay. Overall though, my room was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was responsive to our needs. Bar food was delicious. Street construction made the location unsightly, but this is not the fault of Doubletree. Parking was convenient ($15 per day). Our room overlooked a large ballroom (glass wall) where a wedding reception happened. The bass from the music was going until late.... you might want to ask for a room away from a gathering space for more peace and quiet. Overall, a good place to stay.

Great Location For what we had going on in St Paul, will stop by there again.

I booked a stay here for a girls getaway weekend. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They had a bar within the hotel in the first floor that was convenient and that I enjoyed because we didn't have to go far. The staff was super nice and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Downtown St Paul doesn't have much of a night life but it's in a convenient spot close enough to hit the highways and head anywhere.

for the $140 a night was great. figure $15 a night for parking your car though

Great overall. Renovations underway will be nice. No pool but comfortable beds and good service.

Even though the hotel was under some repair, the staff was extra helpful and the mess was minimal. The shuttle to the Wild game was timely and efficient.

Very friendly at check in, shuttle service was perfect, the driver Josh was super!! Room very nice, super clean

Other than the location, everything was great! Friendly staff. Clean room. Microwave and refrigerator equipped.
