The hotel was very clean and the staff was quite friendly and polite! This is an older hotel and it's showing it's age. But the building is still very well maintained. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in St. Paul!

Customer service was very poor. Arrived to check in around 8 in the evening only to wait to be checked in. No one was at the front desk. Room was ok but could be cleaned better. Found stains on a few wash clothes. Left around noon for an outing and returned late in the evening to find room door opened and unlocked.. Freaked out and checked through every inch of belongings in hopes nothing was missing or stolen. When I told the front desk staff about this the response was " Ok". Another person was waiting at the front desk to check in for over 30 mins and kept looking around to find a staff member. I felt so bad for them so I went to my room to call the front desk just to help them out and get someone at the front to check them in. Hot tub was inoperable most of my stay. Not a ton of restaurants within walking distance so that was also a bit inconvenient. Not the best location if you're looking for a bit of nightlife or just variety of food options. If you're simply in town for a business trip or really prefer a very quiet and isolated atmosphere then this may be a good fit. Don't be shocked if you don't get ideal customer service though.

This location is safe and secure. Check-in was fast and friendly. Our room was clean. The pillows were skimpy and the AC was not cold. We loved that there was a bar/restaurant attached. The bartender wasn't very friendly during our stay but the food was good. The night shift front desk attendant is amazing! We will stay again.

The hot tub is one of the reasons we wanted to stay here and we were not notified upon check-in that it wasn't working. The AC was inaccurate and did not work. The handle for our bathroom door fell off. The ice machine was also out of order. The staff was very nice and it seemed clean. The breakfast was very good. It just seemed like a lot of the major amenities needed upgrading.

No air conditioning they will lie to you.

The air conditioning doesn't work! They will tell you that someone's going to be there the next day to fix it and that doesn't happen. The bar is poorly stocked. The hot tub is broken and brown water in it. The secured parking does not work and they still charge you for it. Will not give you any discount for the broken amenities. Wouldn't recommend staying there.
