Helpful staff, nice and clean rooms, lovely bar/restaurant with affordable and delicious food and drinks.

Great proximity to the event we were in town for!!

I liked it was close to where I needed to be, but didn't like I had to pay for parking.

Not worth the price. Terrible breakfast and not happy about having to pay for parking for the cost of the hotel. Tiny bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the shuttle service gentleman went out of his way and brought us to Surly which is outside the 3 mile radius.

Hallway had a pipe exposed. Not sure why. Seemed tacky.

The hotel was very clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was close to the Xcel and they offered a shuttle to and from the event. However, the employees in the bar were not friendly and made us feel they would rather be anywhere else but there.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Staff all were wonderful, friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast that was included in the price was best free breakfast I’ve had. Hot food, cold food, delicious fruit and great coffee. The staff at breakfast we’re especially nice and helpful - coming around offering water and coffee refills. Also, pool and hot tub were clean and nice - lots of towels there to use.

There was water in the ice bucket and the inside of the bathroom door needed a good washing.

The staff was extremely friendly. Everything recently remodeled and looked very nice. I would stay here again if I ever needed to!

With the new renovation, it looks really nice. Decent bed, updated fixtures. But a pig with a new coat of paint is still a pig. The walls are paper thin - I could hear every word of my neighbors' conversation. Constant door slamming noises. Two doors down from the elevator and heard it all night. Yeah, it looks good. That's it.

I was not aware that the bar/restaurant was closed for construction. The shuttle and the bar were the only reasons I chose to stay here. I see now buried in the FINE print it is mentioned that the bar is closed. I waited 45 minutes in line to check-in. THEN once I got my room key - it was for an occupied room. Back down to the lobby to wait another 20 minutes to get a new room. I had planned on having dinner in the hotel restaurant before attending a concert at Xcel. Spending over an hour to check into a pre-paid room - there was no chance of getting dinner before the show. Staff was unfriendly, frazzled, unprofessional. A real disappointment!

Stayed here for one night with our four legged friend. Very accommodating and just a quick and free shuttle ride away from the Excel Energy Center. Will stay here again for sure!

Very willing and friendly front desk staff checked us in and gave us directions to local attractions. Convenient location close, but not too close, to 35E and 94 freeways and State Capitol and St Paul Cathedral, as well as other St Paul attractions. Room comfortable and quiet. Only complaint is we had assumed breakfast was included in the room price but wasn't so.

Hotel was easy to find. Near our concert venue and had a free shuttle. The hotel is old and worn. Clean. It was what I needed - a cheap hotel for one night.

We were in town for a concert at the Xcel Energy Center. This hotel offered the best value in downtown St. Paul, as they are close to the Xcel, offered free shuttle service, and free parking. They also have a restaurant/bar onsite. Even though the place needs updating, it was very clean, and the people were super friendly. This was exactly what I was looking for in a hotel!

The location was perfect for our one night staycation...easy access to downtown St. Paul, either by the hotel shuttle or cab. We went to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium for a concert and took the hotel shuttle down to it. It is also an easy mile walk downtown if you prefer that, we were just running late so ended up grabbing it. Plenty of parking for hotel guests too...that was a great thing with 3 cars in our group. :-) Staff was extremely friendly and helpful...that is a must in my hotel experiences so it was great!

Perfect location for attending a Prairie Home Companion performance. Easy to get to with GPS. We arrived early and they let us have a room with no problems. Nice pool and hot tub.

Paying for parking in the downtown/Capitol area is standard just as it is in all metropolitan areas. Hotel guests do have the convenience of paying a discounted parking rate of $10 per day which includes full in and out privlidges and overnight secured parking. Normal days parking is $2/hr with a $20 daily maximum with no rentry. Other hotels in the area charge upwards of $40 parking per night. Thank you for staying with us & we look forward to your next stay.
