We really loved staying at Santa Maria Village Resort! It's in a great location, just a short distance from town. The views from the hotel, and especially from the pool, are amazing. With sunset, it was even better! The room was really clean and had everything we needed. Also a nice view from the balcony. The facilities of the hotel were great and the breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Staff was also very friendly! Would definitely recommend.
Very cute hotel with an amazing view on Adamas Bay and village at the swimming pool. The breakfast area in a very cute patio with a green and flowered rooftop was very generous, various and delicious. The hotel is clean and the welcome desk agents are very nice, helpful and dynamic. They lend you swimming pool towels and the airport shuttle is for free. Only one point: all the rooms don t have the view on the bay. Be careful when you reserve
My husband and I stayed at Santa Maria Village Resort & Spa last week during our 5 day trip to Milos. Upon arrival, we were notified that our room had been upgraded to a pool/ocean view. Hurray! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, and our room offered a terrific view of the sunset. The breakfast offered was tasty, with lots of options ranging from scrambled eggs, bacon, and assorted parties and fruits. Parking on site is free if you decide to rent a car ( which I would highly recommend doing in order to see all of the beaches and unique fishing villages that Milos has to offer). The location of the hotel is great because it's walking distance to tons of restaurant/ bars and the port of Milos. It's only about a 15 minute ride from the airport. The wifi in the rooms was lacking, which is the only downside of the hotel. Other than that, we had an amazing experience and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!
The room was very clean, and we opted for a room with a hot tub which also had a great view! What really won us over though was the hospitality. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful any time we asked about recommendations (restaurants, beaches to go to) as this was our first time on the Greek islands. On the day we checked out, we were supposed to have a ferry ride to one of the other islands, but it was the day of the strike in Athens which basically left us without a way to get to our next island as no ferries could leave the port in Athens. We went back to the hotel as we did not know what to do as our next hotel was already booked for the next island that night. The people at the front desk offered for us to stay and use their facilities and assist us until we found another accommodation (as they were completely booked for the night). They even offered us the use of their phone at the front desk to use in order to call the hotel we had already booked on the other island as we did not have cell phone service outside of our country. We could not have asked for better service, and we would definitely stay here again!!
We enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very friendly, the breakfast was yummy and the spa was lovely! We also enjoyed that we could walk into town! So much better than driving. The view is also nice and it is quiet and the room was comfortable and large. We had a standard garden room. If you’re heading to Milos I would definitely recommend this establishment.
Firstly I want to say that I am writing this so that they can improve on their services, NOT to be slammed back at and criticised as in previous reviews. We have travelled many islands in Greece and we booked this hotel going on past reviews. The facilities are excellent and the rooms are nice with great cleanliness. The hotel is located in a great location, within 10 minutes walk of the town, however the path is dusty and stoney which could be improved. Unfortunately as much as the bar staff enjoyed making cocktails, we found them a bit lapse around the pool. Our dirty plates sat next to us for an hour and in the end we moved them ourselves. One day it was very windy and a parasol blew over. They sat there and watched whilst the guests retrieved it themselves. The hotel could also benefit with a shuttle service into town for those people who struggle with hills, even if this was to be certain times of the day. I hope they take this into consideration. Lastly and sadly we didn’t find the staff over friendly. On arrival we sat down with one of the receptionists who showed us a map of the island. We were slightly unsure of the trips we wanted to book and probably dithering a bit, but instead of saying, have a think and let me know, she just got up and left us without saying anything. We then asked her about a boat trip we had seen on the internet and she just said that they didn’t deal with the company without even offering to ring for availability. Her customer service skills could be improved quite honestly. I understand that hotels deal with certain companies but she could have offered to make a quick call. Having said that, they did arrange an extra nights stay when we were stranded on the island due to high winds. On our departure we informed them that this would be early so we settled our bill the night before. We were aware that reception is not open before 7.30am but we and another couple had to hand our room keys back. On entering the breakfast area we were shouted at saying the floor was wet and to get out. Where are we to leave the keys?? Maybe a box outside would help? They offered to make a boxed breakfast which was not prepared for us so we basically asked for some foil and put a few pastries in ourselves. I hope this explains our scoring on booking.com. Now we are home we have more time to explain and hopefully you can make improvements with staff. We think this is a lovely hotel and location but sadly we had higher expectations going on past reviews.
LOVED this hotel. The location was absolutely perfect - walking distance to everything you need at night and multiple car rentals to get around during the day. The "foot path" is convenient - but you certainly want to wear appropriate shoes. The hotel itself is adorable, setup like a little Greek village surrounding a gorgeous pool, nice outdoor bar, and with beautiful views. I stayed in a lovely room on the second floor with a balcony and a view that was Instagramable. The room was spotless, the shower adorable, the balcony and view perfect, air conditioning more than adequate, wifi a bit weak, and bed super comfy. Breakfast was more than adequate although it would have been better if there was a good espresso machine - they serve drip at breakfast and there is a pod machine at the bar. When I read initial reviews I saw some people mentioned that the staff was cold / distant. I didn't find that the case at all. I found each member of the staff to be warm, professional, and happy to share thoughts on the island. A special shout out to the young lady at reception whose boyfriend has family in Texas - she was great! (sorry - her name has slipped my mind.... too much ouzo). At one point, I had a minor crisis involving my phone and a gypsy scam at a local beach. I needed to use the wifi in the reception area and monopolized the room for calls and wifi for a while. The staff was very understanding and supportive and helpful. This hotel was truly beautiful and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Many Thanks.
We stayed in Santa Maria Village for 2 nights and we had a great experience! We had a very nice welcome and they explained to us with maps all there is to do in the island. We definitely used those maps every time we went out to explore! The breakfast included was delicious and with a nice variety of food. We requested laundry service with less than 24 hour notice and the hotel made sure we had our laundry back that same day! The hotel is also great at responding to their emails super fast. We would recommend Santa Maria Village to anybody staying in Milos!
We stayed at Santa Maria Village for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay: Milos itself is really beautiful and is absolutely worth a visit, and the resort is located perfectly on the island: it is a short walk from the port and the main street with lots of restaurants and bars. It has a picturesque view to the sea, the village and sunset right from the pool (a simply unparalleled view!!) Our room had a view over the landscape of the island, just like the breakfast terrace. The room was very clean in a traditional Greek style and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and offered a large variety of dishes of all kinds including freshest local products and fruits. The staff is very friendly and accommodating: they helped us arrange a car hire and gave valuable recommendations on places to visit in Milos. Santa Maria Village was a perfect base to explore the island from and to relax in the evening by the pool with incredible sunset views and cocktails from the bar (they even offer spa treatments). The whole experience felt very authentic, I would love to come back!
We can’t recommend these apartments highly enough. They were clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty, different every day and the staff were helpful and friendly. The best thing about it is the pool area, hardy to find in Milos and we saw nothing as nice as this. It was mainly couples, so quiet and peaceful. An easy walk to the village with restaurants, the port and buses. The hotel arranged car hire which we appreciated as we saw so much more of the lovely Island. It also enabled us to visit beaches according to the wind direction. Great value for money. We would return without hesitation.
