First of all this hotels facilities were lovely and the location was perfect! The pool was clean and overlooked the harbour, the grounds are quite pretty with the vibrant flowers against the typical Greek white surrounds. There is a gym to work off all the Greek food and the breakfast is served buffet style in a spacious room and outdoor seating area. It had quite a few different choices and the orange juice is worth a mention, very tasty! Also my husband and I love the table tennis available! It's a very new looking table and we had lots of fun, just ask the reception for the bats and ball (you just can't use it once it's dark). Also, we loved that the ferry dock was just a couple minutes walk away as well as many restaurants and shops! We especially loved our €2.50 chicken gyros' from Let's meat souvlaki! HOWEVER... we stayed in an economy room which faced the sun all day but didn't have aircon so we weren't able to have a comfortable night sleep as the rooms fan was a very poor ceiling fan and the windows werent able to be open without letting mosquitos in day or night! My husband and I would not recommend this room at all in very hot, sunny Greece! The grounds on the way to our room in building 4 could definitely do with some work as paths were not complete with unstable stones throughout the last, only walkway to our room. The bathroom is a tiny wet room with no where to put your clothes you want to change into and one hook which isn't very convenient when sharing your room.
We stayed at Lagada Beach hotel for 2 nights. This hotel was everything we needed, a place to sleep near the port. It was clean, comfortable and had a good breakfast, the only suggestion would be warmer lighting in the traditional room. The grand suite sea view room had a lovely view and was worth the extra money.
We arrived at 2:0am after a very long trip to be made welcome by Sophia. The accommodation was fresh and spotless and the view from our balcony reaffirmed why we are visiting the Greek Islands. Breakfast in the beautiful grounds overlooking the harbour confirmed that we would return to this hotel.
Not much to say, since at the end didn't book here. But this was the only one hotel I got a very strict and weird position about payment... 😒 Either you pay 50% in advance or 100%! In the first case you get a "flexible" but much more expensive rate ( meanwhile you give your money to them for half of your holiday value!!...And mine was supposed to take place in August!!! After 7 months!!!). I Think it is ok to take a deposit...but half of the full amount for a flexible rate is really something crazy!! And they are very cold people, not empathic at all. Do not reply if they don't like your questions and do not consider the kind of guest you are. If you have children and may have different approach when booking for holidays for example... They do not have the host attitude which is required for a good nice hotel that you would expect to find on a Greek island. Actually I have to say, it seems to me they are not Greek people either... am almost sure about it. They only think of money. And they were also mean since first got me a quotation for a room which after 10 minutes was not valid anymore.... 😑👎🏻 I have been travelling across Greece for 10 years and never got this kind of treatment.😠 I do not recommend to book at this place. After a long survey, I finally got a much more marvellous accommodation in Milos (Villa Mina) talking to super fantastic host who simply asked me for two nights deposit only. As it is normal ... And have booked there very happily!
I stayed 4 days in Milos at Lagada Beach Hotel. The pool as well as the swimming pool were very good with the sunbeds to be the best part (so relaxing that every time I got asleep..). The breakfast was excellent (5 star for the orange juicer!) and personally I had no problem with the WiFi.
We booked 5 nights at Lagada beach hotel. It was a very friendly place near the city center and the port. WI-FI was incredible fast!! Breakfast was marvelous!! All the staff at reception was amazing!!
Stayed here for 8 nights and was very impressed by the facilities and standard of the hotel. There is a lovely swimming pool with loungers, but better still there is bean-bag type loungers under umbrellas right on the beach. The pool bar is open until 10pm at night and staffed by a really friendly guy. The breakfast is well presented with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. There is a very good selection of savoury eats as well as cakes, breads, croissants, cereals, fresh fruit,Greek yogurt with lots of spreads, tea and coffee. I was really impressed that all the towels were changed every day and that the shower curtain and bedding sheets were also changed during our stay. This hotel is far superior to many 3 and 4 star hotels that I've stayed in. Oh and by the way there is a tennis court, table tennis and a small, but well equipped, gym. A hotel right on the beach, a few minutes walk to Adamas town, friendly staff - what's not to like - EXCELLENT.
We booked 4 nights in Milos at Lagada beach hotel and we really couldn't have asked for anything better. We had a standard room on the first floor garden view and we had everything we needed. The bed is extremely comfortable, shower pressure spot on and there also is a fridge in the room. During the holiday I proposed to my now fiancée and part of the surprise was to bring on the island her two best friends with boyfriends, they also stayed at Lagada and they loved it. They organized some bubbles and a little surprise for our engagement and all the staff at the resort has been very kind and helpful organizing the best day for my girlfriend. Breakfast is good with different choices for food and drinks and the swimming pool is absolutely amazing and we had most fun with it. Very short walk to either the ferry, the town center and the bus stop but still keeping a very quiet and peaceful profile. All the staff was amazing, from Kostas at reception who welcomed us upon check in and took time to explain the whereabouts with the rest of reception team to the guys at breakfast to the bartender of the swimming pool bar and the night receptionists, always smiling and kind. My only point is that the bar at the swimming pool was running out of basically everything, from beer to wine..if they were better stocked up we would have loved to spend more time (and €.. :) there. We will definitely be back when on Milos! Thanks guys!!!
The hotel was on the beach and in close proximity to town. This was the only reason we booked it. Given that it is a 2 star I guess it is ok, but that should not undermine the cleanliness of the hotel and for their behavior. We had called them to ask if they provide beach towels and we were said that although they don’t they will provide some for us. Upon check in we got a big NO and were challenged on our confirmation very rude and in arrogance from the male receptionist. Although the room rates are not cheap for a 2 star (deluxe room supposedly their best rooms) the treat you as you own them! WiFi is extremely slow where you give up at the end. Breakfast not great. Staff service poor with few exceptions from some very nice ladies who clean the rooms. They hardly talk to you unless you initiate a conversation or even say a hello. The water from the tap was unclean (rusty). You had to leave the tap running for quite a while to clean the water. See attached photos. There are better places to stay and not pay as much.
Lagada Beach hotel is in a convenient location with Lagada Beach, Milos right on its back doorstep. For anyone familiar with the Greek Islands, having a beach just steps away is a real bonus ( particularly with no cliffs to climb to reach it). The pool area is also nice. Rooms are pretty basic and the “deluxe” rooms are all located on the upper flora which require you to walk up either one or 2 levels ( do 2 or 4 sets of stairs) to reach them. I wasn’t advised of this and we weren’t able climb 4 flights with luggage so they moved us to a ground floor “traditional” room ( ie: pretty basic) to avoid the stairs. Something up be aware of if you are an older traveller. Also although they advertise wifi it really doesn’t work in the rooms - which was very frustrating for us. They blamed our iPhones for this saying the iPhone antennae wasn’t strong enough?? Breakfast is also very basic but then many European breakfasts are. The hotel is in Adamas very close to the port so easily accessible from the ferry and is a short (15min) drive from Plaka which is a lovely village , and the capital of Milos. We had 6 days on Milos - I think 3-4 would have been good. Not a huge amount to do other than swim.
