Travelling for work to the Mildura area for the first time and so happy I chose to stay the two nights I was there at the Early Australian Motor Inn! I was delayed leaving Melbourne and arrived late and the lovely owners very kindly arranged an absolutely delicious room service dinner for when I arrived even though it was out of hours. The room was quiet, lovely and clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant Springfields on Deakin and the food is truly divine, if you don’t try the Salt and Pepper Calamari (Chef’s Own Recipe) with an Orange and Fennel Salad you are missing out, tender cooked to perfection and the spices in the coating are exquisite. The breakfasts are amazing eggs perfect both scrambled and poached and the bacon is crisp and full of flavour, sitting atop toast made from the freshest tastiest bread I have ever eaten, it tastes like it was home baked that morning! Swimming in the Australia shaped pool at the end of a hot day was perfect, so refreshing! If you are looking to stay somewhere with everything and you are treated so well it is as if you are a family member then book into the Early Australian Motor Inn!
Room was very neat and tidy , with a spa and a shower , shower pressure was quite good , didn't try the spa , I thought that since it was on a busy main road I would be kept awake by traffic noise , but I couldn't hear any traffic , it's opposite a large shopping Centre which you can walk to , it has off street parking too but might be a little tight with larger cars, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again when in the area
Everything in the 'room' was Substandard. Room fridge with no inside light & turned off at night due to noise level. TV unwatchable on lounge or bed, as it had no swivel base. Reverse cycle split system A/C turned off due to noise level. Light fittings were old. No bathroom cabinet with draws for toiletries. Shower over spa bath small, old & dangerous with no drain in bathroom floor. Plumbing & sewerage were very slow to drain. No electric blanket or spare blankets/doona in room. Two spare pillows were on the floor of the very small wardrobe. Hygiene? Room service 'missed' our room. Value for money: No! Recommend: No! Car park is a joke. Too small & not allocated to your room so it's lucky if you even get somewhere to park. Location on Deakin Ave & close to Calder Highway means 24/7 truck & traffic noise. Do yourself a favour & stay somewhere (anywhere) else!
This motel is on a main road leading into Mildura, and was very convenient for us. The room was pleasant, and large, with tea and coffee provided. Toasters are available from reception, if not in the rooms. The spa bath was a luxurious touch not often found in motels, and we made good use of it. Although we didn't use the restaurant, there was an interesting menu, which sounded very tempting. We would definitely stay at this motel again.
I cannot say enough nice things about this motel...Service at reception was friendly and my room was clean and the bed verty comfy. The spa was very much appreciated. I had no traffic noise or noise from other guests.
Another enjoyable stay at the Early Australian last week for 3 nights in a spa room. This room is upstairs above the reception area and is very spacious, clean and quiet. It was nice to unwind in the spa after the long drive and relax on the comfortable couch with a glass of wine. There was a well stocked mini bar for those that need a nibble. We had our breakfasts and 2 dinners at the motel's "Springfields' restaurant although room service is also available. The breakfasts were well cooked and generous and the dinners were excellent. We shared the delicious salt & pepper squid & both tried the steak which was tender & cooked to perfection. We highly recommend this motel & restaurant and will definitely be back!
Great value on this special package Great food, comfortable room and friendly staff Easy access and ample parking We will definitely stay here again Room service is available but we chose to eat in the restaurant, small but well laid out and cosy
We first visited The restaurant in this motel in Feb 2016. The food and atmosphere was terrific. Although the restaurant is small the quality of the food back then caused me to book into the motel this time around - July 2017. We were not disappointed. Once again the food was excellent. The room was clean and warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was a hearty feed of bacon and eggs. Just be aware that tawny ports and liqueurs are in short supply. Also, they are not cheap, our liquor bill surprised us. We would go back again if we return to Mildura.
We found this little hotel on Wotif and were very happy with the facilities and accommodation. We were lucky to get a room with a spa which was very enjoyable as it was very cold in Mildura when we stayed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The extra blankets supplied were very welcome too. We had dinner and breakfast in their onsite restaurant Springfields on Deakin and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
Just needed somewhere in Mildura to break up the trip between Canberra and Broken Hill. Found this place located amongst several other motels but just took a chance as State of Origin was soon to begin. The room was clean, quite large and had a comfortable bed. Over all very good value for money, $99 a night.
