Hotel Venini (Milan) is quite close to the Central Station (€12 for a taxi). The hotel looks plain from the outside, but don't be deceived - inside, it was very clean and comfortable. Our room was a good size, and the bathroom was excellent - everything was very clean.. Breakfast (Continental) was included and there was enough variety of cereals, cold meats, bread/toast ..... to give us a good start to the day. The area around the hotel has many restaurants in a short walking distance - and the one we chose gave us our best meal of our time in Italy: a huge bowl of penne pasta, a big bowl of amazing risotto, two glasses of wine and a coke for a total of €24. The room was affordable and the location was quite good. It is a walkable distance from the railway station and the area has also some nice restaurants definitely worth trying. The room was clean and it had the basic things you would expect, as AC etc. The downsides of staying in this hotel were: - beds with no pillowtop mattress, which had an impact in my sleep due to the strings from the mattress pushing my back - A bit of noise coming from outside as well as from the hotel

The costumer service was horrible, I had to pay 80 € in the front desk for one extra friend stay in my room only 3 hours until the flight time . El servicio al cliente fue abusivo me hicieron pagar 80 € por un amiga que sólo iba a estar en la habitación 3 horas hasta que saliera su vuelo . Nunca había visto eso antes en ningún hotel.

Great breakfast, good location, good value

Stay was pleasant. The reception was always smiling and ready for little chat. The breakfast nicely prepared with good taste, generally looks like not much but the quality is very, very good. The lady in charge of breakfast is ready to make any type of egg or any coffee/tee . High standard typical sweet - Italian style breakfast. Room was tidy with the fridge. Towels were change everyday. For some needed, for me and the planet wasn't that necessary unless dirty left on the floor. I can say good quality for this price.
