We stayed at the UNA Hotel in Milan! The pictures do not do the hotel justice it was 10 times better than what we expected! we was greeted by a very polite gentlemen on the front desk who spoke excellent English and helped with all our questions. The room I had booked was a superior double and en suite. The room was more than what I thought very clean, clean beds bathroom etc.We only ate breakfast there which was very good with the choice of cereals, breads and a cooked breakfast. There was room service available for pastas and pizzas etc which was a good price but we ate out. The hotel was about a 45 minute walk from Milan city centre, which was a nice walk through the park, but with the heat of this time of year it was easy to get the trams service - number 1 or 19 to take you straight to the city centre. You MUST buy a ticket, my partner and I didn't realise that you needed a ticket and we ended up being charged by the trams ticket officers (which are under cover) so just be aware of this. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite, we couldn't fault the hospitality we received. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially to young couples.

The hotel is a bit dated but still fresh and clean. What really was memorable was the friendly and helpful staff that made you feel welcome already at check in. We were provided with maps and helpful tips on how to get to the city (tram is nearby) and recommendations on where to eat. Good value for money!

very old Hotel, not at new Standard. conditioning very noisy, it makes difficult to sleep, Internet so slow that it´s almost impossible to work (i had to use my sim Card), very few availables plugs, no one at the writing desk and only one at one side of the bed. in my room the light in the bathroom could not be switched off, i guess it was smt broken at the switch. Strongly unsuggested.

I will just state the pros and cons of the hotel so i think people can make a decision themselves. 1. 20 mins by tram/cab. Tram costs 1.50 euro but taxi costs anything between 10 to 22 euro depending on what time of the day you take the cab. 2. The hotel room aircon is so so. I like very cold rooms given that the summers very HOT. The room temperature can't go down below 21.5 C degrees. I tried to set it to 18 or 17 but for days it just wouldn't go down. I guess coz its centrally controlled. 3. The gym "room" is a far cry from what you wd expect out of a gym. The gym room has 3 cardio machines and free weights which is for body builders. For someone like me looking for some floor space and free weights i can actually carry, no such luck. 4. The hotel doesnt provide water. But there is a supermarket just across so it is okay. 5. Extremely short staffed. There is only one person during one shift most times. I feel sorry for the staff. As much as they are trying their best to serve the customers, they can't attend to customers quick enough given the shortage of manpower. Pros : 1. Room is a decent size. 2. Rooms are quiet so you can sleep well. 3. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Fernando, Julia and Stefano (not sure if i got the name right) are extremely helpful. I wd prfer to stay somewhere much more centrally given that i was only there was 2 days.

Have stayed in this Hotel several time and would recommend it.The staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are spacious and cleaned .Only issue is the staff that work in the bar are not very friendly and need to be a bit more welcoming to the guest.

Excellent hotel and great service from all the helpful and knowledgeable staff on reception particularly Gabrielle, and the friendly breakfast staff. Our Twin room was exceptionally clean with beautiful decor, furnishings and high quality linen. A wonderful street market outside the hoterl on our first morning (Tues) and a great selection of near by boutiques, bars and restaurants all added to our " Italian experience". Nearby transport links helped us pack a lot of sightseeing into our four day city break - would definitely love to return to Hotel Scandanavia again.

I've stayed here for 4 days in June ( for a congress at MiCo center, wich is about 15 min walk from the hotel ). It was a perfect stay for me, rooms are very clean and nice decorated, AC is excellent , you can action it yourself, not centraly). Important - rooms are sonudproof so very little noise may disturbe you, Breakfast is plentiful and of good quality, waiters very efficient even when was crowded. Across the street is an excellent supermarket. In proximity are nice restaurants like Osteria delle Corti and ROsa dei Venti. The metro station Gerusaleme is 5 min walk from the hotel.A taxi for Linate is 29 euro. The staff is very polite and helpful .

Another good stay, I travel to Milan once a year for business and always stay here because of it's convenient location to the train station. This time I had a single room. The bed was comfortable. Most importantly the air conditioning was on the whole time so the room was comfortable. The shower is small but worked well, good pressure and plenty of hot water. I like the hand held shower head for rinsing well. The hotel is located across the street from a nice grocery store if you need to up any water or snacks for the room. There is a gelato store, make a right out of the hotel and the next right. Also there is a good restaurant on the street, turn right out of the hotel and it is up on the right a block or 2 up. Most important I was happy to see the friendly faces at the breakfast, the older lady (I can never remember her name) is so wonderfully friendly and the crew works hard to keep the breakfast stocked. All in all a good stay.

Pricing was good, location is ok because the metro station is within few minutes walk. BUT there was no hot water available during the evenings and as I told this to the reception they knew it but did not tell it to us. After walking a day in +32c outside this was not acceptable but they did not do anything and no compensation was even offered. In the morning hot water was available again... We had only one towel in the room and downstairs restaurant had nobody to serve as we tried to visit it twice during two different evenings. Breakfast is ok, but you cant order anyhing from the kitchen.

I was booked in here when I attended a conference at the nearby conference centre and was very pleased. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was lovely and comfortable. If I was being picky, they need a faster toaster and maybe add tinned tomatoes and mushrooms to the breakfast selection but otherwise a really relaxing stay.
